Some important instructions:

• To prevent fire or shock hazard, do not expose this appliance to rain or moisture.

• In order to prevent electric shock, do not open the cover. If a problem occurs, contact

your dealer.

• Do not place metal objects or spill liquid inside the unit. Electric shock or malfunction
may result.

• Prevent use in dusty environments, clean the unit regularly.

FUNCTIONS

1. POWER SWITCH: Used to switch the Strobe master on and off.

2. CHASE / SOUND BUTTON: Used to switch between chase and sound mode:

• Chase mode: speed of the programs can be changed with speed knob.

• Sound mode: speed of the programs depends on the sound input (internal

micro or sound input on rear panel)

3. PATTERN BUTTONS: the 3 buttons can be used in any combination to select the

8 internal programs. Refer to the diagram below for the differences between each
program. The programs can be used in both chase and sound mode.

4. NORMAL / FULL ON BUTTON: In normal mode you can choose any of the

internal programs. In “full on” mode all strobes will flash simultaneously, even when
the strobe master is in stand-by mode (see next)

5. RUN / STAND-BY BUTTON: In run mode the connected strobes follow the pattern

of the internal programs. In stand-by mode the outputs to the strobes are in
blackout mode (no output) and the related led is turned on.

6. MICRO: Internal microphone, used in sound mode. When the audio input on the

rear panel is used, the microphone is automatically switched off.

7. OUTPUT MONITOR: 4 leds monitor the output signals of the strobe master.

8. MIC SENSITIVITY: This potentiometer adjusts the input sensitivity of the audio

signal.

9. SPEED: In chase mode this potentiometer is used to adjust the running speed of

the selected program.

10. AUDIO INPUT: ¼” jack sound input, can be connected to an audio output (0,7V Æ

2,5V) on your audio mixer. (for example a record output) When a jack connector is
inserted,the internal microphone is switched off.

11. OUTPUTS TO STROBES: four ¼” jack connectors used to connect the sync.

Inputs of compatible strobes. (see specs for strobe models that are compatible)

12. FUSEHOLDER: When the fuse is blown, only replace it with a similar 5x20mm

fuse, 1A slow.

13. MAINS CABLE: Mains input is rated at 220V / 50Hz.

INSTALLATION

The Strobe Master is connected to the synchronization input jacks on the strobes
using ¼”jack/jack cables (for example our cables 2-0425 and 2-0426).
The four strobes are each individually connected to the strobe master. If you want to
connect more than 4 strobes, you can use the output jacks on the strobes to link to the
input of the next strobe etc.

MAINTENANCE

The unit should be cleaned regularly using a wet cloth. We recommend internal
cleaning to be carried out by qualified personnel.

AVANT L’UTILISATION

Vérifiez le contenu:

Vérifiez si la boite contient les articles suivants:

2. Mode d’emploi

Quelques remarques importantes:

• Pour éviter l’incendie ou l’électrocution, n’exposez jamais cet appareil à la pluie ou à
l’humidité.

• Afin de ne pas vous faire électrocuter, n’enlevez jamais le couvercle. Si vous êtes
confrontés à un problème, contactez votre dealer.

• N’insérez pas des objets métalliques ou ne renversez pas de liquide dans l’appareil.
L’électrocution ou le mal fonctionnement peut en résulter

• Evitez d’utiliser l’appareil dans des endroits poussiéreux, nettoyez le régulièrement.

FONCTIONS

1. POWER: Utilisez cette touche pour allumer et éteindre l’appareil.

2. CHASE / SOUND: Utilisez cette touche pour choisir entre le mode chase ou le

mode sound:

• Mode Chase: La vitesse des programmes peut être réglé avec le bouton
Speed.

• Mode Sound: la vitesse des programmes dépend du rythme de la musique
(micro intégré ou entrée ligne à l’arrière de l’appareil)

3. TOUCHES PATTERN: les 3 touches peuvent être utilisées dans n’importe quelle

combinaison pour sélectionner un des 8 programmes internes. Referez vous au

tableau ci-dessous pour la sélection des différents programmes. Les programmes
peuvent être utilisés en mode chase et en mode sound.

4. NORMAL / FULL ON: En mode normale vous pouvez choisir n’importe quel

programme interne. En mode “full on” tous les stroboscopes clignoteront en même
temps, même si le Strobe Master est en mode stand-by (voir point suivant)

5. RUN / STAND-BY: En mode Run les stroboscopes suivent le mode de défilement

(pattern) selon le programme sélectionné. En mode stand-by les stroboscopes
sont mis en mode black-out (éteint) et le led relatif est allumé.

6. MICRO: Micro interne utilisé en mode Sound. Quant on utilise l’entrée audio à

l’arrière de l’appareil, le micro est automatiquement coupé.

7. OUTPUT MONITOR: les 4 leds affichent les signaux de sortie du Strobe Master.

8. MIC SENSITIVITY: Vous permet de régler la sensibilité du signal audio.

9. SPEED: Utilisez ce potentiomètre en mode Chase pour régler la vitesse de

défilement du programme sélecté.

10. AUDIO INPUT: entrée audio par ¼” jack qui peut être connecté à une sortie (0,7V

Æ 2,5V) de votre table de mixage audio. (Ex. sortie Record Out) Quant un jack est
inséré dans cette entrée, le micro interne est coupé automatiquement.

11. OUTPUTS: quatre connecteurs jack ¼” sont prévus pour être raccordés aux

entées de synchronisation des stroboscopes compatibles. (lisez les
caractéristiques techniques pour savoir quels stroboscopes sont compatibles )

12. FUSE (porte fusible): Remplacez uniquement les fusibles par des modèles

similaires de 5x20mm, 1A slow (lent).

13. CÂBLE D’ALIMENTATION: L’alimentation est fixée à 220V / 50Hz.

INSTALLATION

Le Strobe Master est connecté aux entrées de synchronisation de chaque
stroboscope par des câbles ¼”jack/jack (ex. nos câbles 2-0425 et 2-0426).
Les 4 stroboscopes sont raccordés individuellement au Strobe Master. Si vous voulez
connecter plus de 4 stroboscopes vous pouvez utiliser les sorties de synchronisation
des stroboscopes pour les relier aux entrées des appareils suivants, etc.

ENTRETIEN

L’appareil doit être nettoyé régulièrement à l’aide d’un chiffon humide. Nous vous
conseillons de faire effectuer le nettoyage interne de l’appareil par un technicien
expérimenté.

Controleer de inhoud:

Controleer of de doos de volgende items bevat:

Enkele belangrijke instructies:

• Plaats dit toestel niet in een natte of vochtige omgeving, dit om brand en elektrocutie
te voorkomen.

• Verwijder nooit de behuizing van het toestel om elektrocutie te voorkomen.
Contacteer uw dealer indien er zich een probleem voordoet.

• Plaats nooit metalen voorwerpen en mors nooit vloeistoffen in het toestel.
Elektrocutie of een slechte werking kan hieruit resulteren.

• Vermijd het gebruik in een stoffige omgeving, reinig het toestel regelmatig.

FUNCTIES

1. POWER: Gebruik deze toets om de Strobe Master aan en uit te zetten.

2. CHASE / SOUND: Gebruik deze toets om de chase of de sound mode te kiezen:

• Chase mode: de snelheid van het programma kan geregeld worden met de
Speed (snelheid) knop.

• Sound mode: de snelheid van de programma’s hangt af van het
aangeboden geluid (interne micro of line ingang aan de achterzijde)

3. PATTERN TOETSEN: de 3 toetsen kunnen in om het even welke combinatie

gebruikt worden om 1 van de 8 ingebouwde programma’s te kiezen. Raadpleeg
onderstaande lijst voor het kiezen van een programma. De programma’s kunnen
zowel in chase mode als in sound mode gebruikt worden.

4. NORMAL / FULL ON: In Normal mode kan U een van de programma’s kiezen. In

“full on” mode zullen alle strobos tegelijkertijd flitsen, zelfs wanneer de strobe
master in stand-by mode staat (zie volgende)

5. RUN / STAND-BY: In run mode volgen de strobo’s de stappen van het

ingebouwde programma. In Stand-by mode staan alle strobo-uitgangen in black­out mode (geen uitgang) en licht de stand-by led op.

6. MICRO: De ingebouwde microfoon is actief in de Sound Mode. Bij gebruik van de

audio ingang aan de achterzijde van het toestel wordt de microfoon automatisch
uitgeschakeld.

7. OUTPUT MONITOR: 4 leds geven de uitgangssignalen van de Strobe Master

weer.

8. MIC SENSITIVITY: deze potentiometer regelt de ingangsgevoeligheid van het

audio signaal.

9. SPEED: In chase mode wordt deze potentiometer gebruikt om de snelheid van het

geselecteerde programma te regelen.

10. AUDIO INPUT: ¼” jack geluidsingang kan verbonden worden met een audio

uitgang (0,7V Æ 2,5V) van uw audio mixer. (bvb. Record Out) De interne microfoon
wordt dan automatisch uitgeschakeld.

11. OUTPUTS: 4 ¼” jacks voor het verbinden met de synchronisatie ingangen van de

strobos. (zie Technische gegevens voor compatibele toestellen)

12. ZEKERINGHOUDER: Gebruik steeds zekeringen van hetzelfde type (5x20mm, 1A

traag) indien deze moet vervangen worden.

13. VOEDINGSKABEL: Kan gebruikt worden op elk 220V / 50Hz spanningsnet.

INSTALLATIE

De Strobe Master wordt verbonden met de synchronisatie ingangen van de strobos
door middel van ¼” jack/jack kabels (vb. onze 2-0425 en 2-0426 kabels).
De 4 strobos worden individueel verbonden met de Strobe Master. Indien U meer dan
4 strobo’s wil aansluiten, gebruik dan de jack-uitgangen van de strobos en verbindt die
met de ingang van de volgende, enz.

ONDERHOUD

Het toestel kan regelmatig gereinigd worden met een vochtig doek. Wij raden U aan
om het reinigen van de binnenkant van het toestel over te laten aan een ervaren
technicus.

VOR DEM GEBRAUCH

Überprüfen Sie zunächst, ob folgende Teile im Karton enthalten sind:

1. Strobe Master BF-04A

2. Gebrauchsanweisung

ACHTUNG WICHTIG :

• Setzten Sie das Gerät nicht Regen oder Feuchtigkeit aus.

• Öffnen sie nicht das Gehäuse! Bei Problemen wenden Sie sich bitte an Ihren

Händler.

• Stellen Sie keine Metallgegenstände auf das Gerät und vermeiden sie den Kontakt
mit Flüssigkeiten. Sie könnten die Funktionen einschränken oder einen Ausfall des
Gerätes bedeuten.

• Vermeiden Sie den Gebrauch in staubigen Umgebungen und reinigen Sie das Gerät
regelmäßig.

FUNKTIONEN

1. POWER SCHALTER: Um den Strobe Master ein und aus zu schalten.

2. CHASE / SOUND BUTTON: Um zwischen internem Taktgeber und Soundmodus

zu wählen.

• Chase Modus: Die Programmgeschwindigkeit wird mit dem
Geschwindigkeitsregler verändert.

• Sound mode: Die Programmgeschwindigkeit hängt von der Sound-Eingabe
ab (internes Mikrofon oder Sound-Eingang auf der Rückseite)

3. PATTERN BUTTONS: Mit den 3 Schaltern ( PATTERN ) können sie die 8

vorprogrammierten Programme auswählen. Die verschiedene Programme sind
aus dem untenstehenden Diagramm zu entnehmen. Die Programme funktionieren
sowohl mit internem Taktgeber als auch im Sound-Modus.

4. NORMAL / FULL ON BUTTON: Im Normal-Modus können Sie jedes interne

Programm auswählen. Im Full-on-Modus funktionieren alle Stroboskope im
gleichen Takt, auch wenn der Strobe-Master im Standby-Modus ist.

5. RUN / STAND-BY BUTTON: Im Run-Modus arbeiten die verbundenen

Stroboskope mit den internen Programmen. Im Standby-Modus sind die Ausgänge
zu den Stroboskopen im Blackout-Modus (kein Ausgang).

6. MICRO: Interne Mikrofone, Verwendung Im Sound-Modus wird das interne

Mikrofon genutzt. Bei Gebrauch des Audio-Eingangs auf der Rückseite des
Controllers, ist das Mikrofon automatisch ausgeschaltet.

7. OUTPUT MONITOR: 4 LED´s zeigen den aktuellen Zustand der 4 Kanäle

( Stroboskope )

8. MIC SENSITIVITY: Mit diesem Potentiometer regeln sie die

Eingangsempfindlichkeit des eingebauten Mikrofones.

9. SPEED: Im internen Taktgeber-Modus steuert dieser Potentiometer die

Geschwindigkeit des ausgewählten Progamms.

10. AUDIO INPUT: ¼“ Jack ( Klinkebuchse ) Sound-Eingang, kann mit einem

Audioausgang (0,7V Æ 2,5V) von z.B. ihrem Mischpult verbunden werden.

11. AUSGÄNGE / STROBOSKOPE: hier schließen sie über die Klinkenbuchsen ihre

Stroboskope an. Bitte achten sie darauf, das ihre Stroboskope zu diesem Gerät
kompatibel sind.

12. SICHERUNG: Durchgebrannte Sicherungen nur durch gleichartige 5x20mm

Sicherungen, 1A slow, ersetzten.

13. NETZKABEL: Netzeingang für 220V / 50Hz.

INSTALLATION

Verbinden sie den Controller mit ihren Stroboskope über ein Klinken Kabel (z.B.
unsere Kabel 2-0425 und 2-0426). Jedes der 4 Stroboskope ist individuell mit dem
Strobe-Master verbunden. Falls Sie mehr als 4 Stroboskope verbinden möchten,
können Sie dis Ausgangsbuchse an ihrem Stroboskop verwenden, um zum Eingang
des nächsten Stroboskops zu verlinken, etc.

WARTUNG

Die Geräteeinheit sollte regelmäßig mit einem feuchten Tuch gereinigt werden. Wir
empfehlen, das Innere der Geräte ausschließlich durch Fachpersonal zu reinigen.

Precauciones:

• Para evitar electrocuciones, no utilizar en locales humedos ni en la lluvia.

• Para evitar electrocuciones,no abrir este aparato,contacte su tienda.

• No introducir objetos ni derramar liquidos.

• Evitar el polvo,mantenga el aparato limpio.

FUNCIONES

1. POWER SWITCH: Enciende o apaga el” Estrobe Master”.

2. CHASE / SOUND BUTTON: Selecta el ruting o el modo audio.

• Chase mode: la velocidad de los programas se cambia con el botón speed.

• Sound mode: la velocidad de los programas depende de la entrada externa

o del micro interno.

3. PATTERN BUTTONS: Los 8 programas se obtienen combinando los 3

pulsadores.Referirse al cuadro siguiente para conocer los distintos
programas.Este programa se activa en » chase » o modo « sound ».

4. NORMAL / FULL ON BUTTON: En modo normal se elije uno de los programas

internos.En modo “full on”,todos los estrobos funcionan simultaneamente,mismo si
el BF-04A está en posición” stand-by”.

5. RUN / STAND-BY BUTTON: En modo “run” se activa el programador.En modo

“stand-by” todos los estrobos se apagan.

6. MICRO: Este micro interno se desactiva automaticamente con el uso de la entrada

« audio » trasera.

7. OUTPUT MONITOR: indicadores de senãl de salida del BF-04A.

8. MIC SENSITIVITY: Este potenciometro ajusta la sensibilidad audio.

9. SPEED: En modo “chase” este potenciometro ajusta la velocidad del programa.

10. AUDIO INPUT: Entrada jack ¼” para conectar a la salida audio (0,7vÆ 2,5v)de

una mesa(rec out).Si se utiliza esta entrada se anula el micro interno.

11. OUTPUTS TO STROBES: 4 salidas jack ¼” para conectar los estrobos a sus

respectivas entradas.

12. FUSEHOLDER: Si salta el fusible cambiarlo por otro similar, 5x20mm fuse, 1A

slow.

13. MAINS CABLE: Previsto para una red 220V / 50Hz.

INSTALACION

Se conectará el Strobe Master a las entradas de los estrobos con conectores jack
¼ (por ejemplo nuestros cables 2-0425 y 2-0426).
Los 4 estrobos se conectan individualmente al BF-04A.Si la cantidad es superior a 4,
utilizar las salidas « output » de cada estrobo.

MANTENIMIENTO

Limpiar frecuentemente esta unidad con una gamuza. La limpieza del interior se
efectuara unicamente por un servicio tecnico.
