JBL ES SERIES SPEAKER SYSTEMS
HIGH-DEFINITION AUDIO
SHARPER, CLEANER,
DESERVE SHARPER, RICHER,
HEAR WHAT YOU'VE BEEN MISSING WITH THE JBL®ES SERIES. HDTV and the new HD-DVD
formats deliver video images that are up to six times sharper than the best the 20th century had to offer. But these extraordinary new pictures are meant to be experienced with up to 7.1 channels of high-quality sound (which actually improves most people’s perception of the picture itself). With the versatile new ES Series, high-definition video meets high-definition audio, and a new era of high-impact home entertainment comes of age.
HIGH-DEFINITION PICTURES HIGH-DEFINITION SOUND.
REALISTIC, FULL-SPECTRUM
FOR ADVANCED, SIT-ANYWHERE 5.1- AND 7.1-CHANNEL HOME THEATER SYSTEMS,
as well as good-old-fashioned, best-seat-in-the-house music systems, the ES Series offers a variety of bookshelf, wall-mount and floorstanding loudspeakers, and bring-down-the-house powered subwoofers. With innovative technologies derived directly from JBL Professional equipment, the ES Series delivers powerful, accurate audio performance in systems that are built to play loud and long. And with two finishes to choose from – black and cherry – they’re designed to look good anywhere, with a style that equals their substance.
SOUND FROM SLEEK,
UNOBTRUSIVE LOUDSPEAKERS.
HIGHER HIGHS
With UHF drivers capable of 40kHz, ES Series speakers deliver high-end nuances you probably have never before experienced in recorded audio.
CLEANER SOUND
The JBL ES Series uses cellulose-fiber cones reinforced with a polymer coating for uniform pistonic motion; this eliminates internal resonances, without increasing cone mass. That means tighter, more precise bass and midrange reproduction.
BETTER IMAGING
Originally developed for JBL Professional LSR studio monitors, proprietary waveguides evenly disperse high frequencies, delivering more precise imaging over a wider listening area.
GREATER ACCURACY
The extremely thin yet extremely rigid titaniumlaminate dome ensures accurate, undistorted highfrequency response, even at realistic (meaning loud) listening levels.
DEEPER BASS
ES Series loudspeakers and powered subwoofers feature a JBL computer-optimized bass-reflex port, which extends deep bass response while eliminating unwanted turbulence.
LESS DISTORTION
The ideal path from input through components to transducers is a straight line, and all ES Series speakers take the shortest path possible. But they also employ premium components to minimize noise and signal loss.

The maximum recommended amplifier power rating will ensure proper system headroom to allow for occasional peaks. We do not recommend sustained operation at these maximum power levels.
The peak dynamic power is measured by recording the highest center-to-peak voltage measured across the output of a resistive load equal to minimum impedance of the transducer, using a 50Hz sine wave burst, 3 cycles on, 17 cycles off.
