Operation Manual

XC5197 is compatible with Windows 2000 / XP / Vista/Window 7, Mac OS or newer operation system, no need driver system.

How to connect to PC/Mac

1. Connect mini USB port to Speaker.

2. Connect USB port to PC/Mac.

3. Press “POWER” button to switch on speaker.

4. Position XC5197 onto desk steadily.

5. If use with Mac, please select “USB Audio Device” as Sound output by setting your Mac as “system setting  Sound

 Output  USB Audio Device”

NOTE: NO NEED to connect audio cable when play music from PC/Mac.

How to connect to Mp3, iPod or other music device that has 3.5mm standard audio output port

1. Connect XC5197 and PC by USB cable or install rechargeable

lithium battery into the battery compartment.

2. Use 3.5mm audio cable to connect speaker and your music devices.

3. Press “POWER” button to switch on speaker.

4. Position the unit onto desk steadily.

5. Turn on your music device.

Trouble shooting

Q1. If one driver unit has no sound output
A1. Make sure USB cable is connected tightly, and then check music devices has dual channel audio output.
Close the music software such as Real Player or iTunes, and restart them.

Q2. If whole speaker has no sound output
A2. Check USB power cable to see if it is connected tightly, and then check if AUX audio cable connected well.
Close music software such as iTune, Realplayer…etc, then re-start both speaker and software.

Q3. If distortion happens while paying loudly music with PC
A3. Connect PC/Laptop to electric outlet to make sure enough power supply.

Recharge the battery if the LED indicator twinkles because of low battery life.

Notice

 Keep minimum distances (5cm) around the apparatus for sufficient ventilation.
 The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the rear panel for ventilation with items, such as newspapers,

table-cloths, curtains, etc.

 No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
 Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal
 Don’t use the apparatus in tropical climates.
 The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be

placed on the apparatus

 Batteries (battery pack or batteries installed) shall not be exposed to excessive heat such as sunshine, fire or the like.
