- WHAT TO DO IF YOU SMELL GAS
• Do not try to light any appliance.
• Do not touch any electrical switches; do not use the phone in your building.
• Immediately call your gas supplier from a neighbor’s phone. Follow the gas supplier’s instructions.
• If you cannot reach your gas supplier, call the fire department.
- Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or the gas supplier.

SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
FOR SAFE INSTALLATION AND OPERATION OF THE JACKSON GRILLS PATIO FIRE, PLEASE CAREFULLY READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION:
GENERAL
• The Patio Fire must be installed in accordance with their instructions. Carefully read all the instructions in this manual first. Consult the building authority having jurisdiction to determine the need for a permit prior to commencing the installation.
NOTE: Failure to follow these instructions could cause a malfunction of the campfire, which could result in death, serious bodily injury, and/or property damage.
• Failure to follow these instructions may also void your fire insurance and/or warranty.
Installation and repair should be done by a qualified service person. The
appliance should be inspected before the first use and, at least, annually by a qualified service person. More frequent cleaning may be required as necessary. It is imperative the controls, burners and circulating air passageways of the appliance be kept clean.
Children and adults should be alerted to the hazards of high surface temperatures and should stay away to avoid burn or clothing ignition.
Young children should be carefully supervised when they are in the area of the appliance.
FOR YOUR SAFETY
• Installation and service must be performed by a qualified installer, service agency or gas
supplier.
• This installation must conform to local codes or, in the absence of local codes, with the B149.1 Natural Gas and Propane Installation Code in Canada or the National Fuel Gas Code, ANSI Z223.1 in the USA
• To prevent injury, do not allow anyone who is unfamiliar with this appliance to operate it.
• Always keep the area around these appliances clear of combustible material, gasoline and
other flammable liquids and vapours.
Clothing or other flammable materials should not be hung from the appliance, or placed near the appliance.
• Due to the paint curing on the campfire, a faint odour and slight smoking will likely be noticed when the appliance is first used.
• Never use solid fuels such as wood, paper, cardboard, coal, or any flammable liquids, etc., in
this appliance.
• Do not use this heater if any part has been under water. Immediately call a qualified service technician to inspect the heater and to replace any part of the control or gas control systems that have been under water.

SPECIFICATIONS
Input: 48,500 BTU•h (4.12 KW•h) Manifold Pressure: 11 inch W.C. (2.74 KPa) Maximum Gas Supply Pressure: 13 inch W.C. (3.50 KPa) LP Orifice Size: # 47. NG Orifice Size: # 35 Recommended LP-gas supply cylinder size: 20 lbs Hours of operation using a 20 lb Cylinder of Propane: 8 to 10 hours
ASSEMBLY
1. Remove the lid by twisting the tee handle counter clockwise until the lid assembly is
released from the body.
2. Set aside the two bags of embers for the next step then remove and discard the packing
material.
3. Check that the hose and regulator assembly is securely fastened to the campfire body (for
use with Propane). The LP-gas supply cylinder must be disconnected when this appliance is not in use. CAUTION: The gas pressure regulator provided with this appliance must be used. This
regulator is set for an outlet pressure of 11 inch W.C. (2.74 kPa). The LP-gas supply cylinder(s) to be used with this campfire must be arranged for vapor
withdrawal and must include a collar to protect the cylinder valve. The LP-gas supply cylinder(s) must be constructed and marked in accordance with the
specifications for LP-gas cylinders Standards,
CAN/CSA B339, Cylinders, Spheres and Tubes for
Transportation of Dangerous Goods.
CAMPFIRE PLACEMENT
IMPORTANT: This appliance must only be used outdoors in a well-ventilated space and cannot be used in a building, garage, or any other enclosed areas.
These minimum distances to combustibles must be maintained:
- 16” (406 mm) to all sides of fireplace.
- 84” (2134 mm) above the fireplace.
Position the gas hose out of pathways where people may trip over it or in areas where the hose may be subject to accidental damage.
