Chassisnumber

Thechassisnumber,whichisVINcodenumber,isstampedontheouterside
oftherightlongeronendoftheframe.

Enginenumber

Theenginecylinderheadisaffixedwiththeenginetag,onwhichitismarked
withinformationabouttheengine,suchasitsmodel,serialnumber,nominal
horsepower,ratedenginespeed,ex-worksdate,etc.

Locationofthevehiclenameplate

TheembossednumberofVINcodeforvehicleandTypeIIchassisislocated
ontheoutersideoftherightlongeronoftheframeaswellas,onthebackside
oftherearsupportoftherearleafspring.Besides,anindividualtabletofVIN

Overload

Overloadingwillshortenvehicle'sservicelife,butalsobringaboutpotentialrisk
tosafedriving.
Theloadingmassmustbelimitedtothespecifiedrangeofthemax.totalmass
forvehicle,andtheloaddistributionsonthefrontandrearshaftsshallnotbe
morethanthecarryingcapacityofthevehicleshafts.Pleaserefertothetechni鄄

Carefuldrivingandmaintenanceduringtherun-inperiodwillplayacrucialroleinimprovementofthe
performanceandservicelife.So,thefollowingsmustbestrictlyabidedbyduringtheinitialrun-inperi鄄
odof3000km:

1.Duringtheinitial3000kmdriving,thevehiclespeedshallnotbemorethan
70%ofthemax.enginespeed.Attentionshouldbepaidtothetachometerdur鄄
ingdrivingtoavoidengineoverspeedrunning.

2.Trytoavoidengineoverspeedrunning,abruptstartuporunnecessarye鄄
mergencybraking.

3.Itisnecessarytohavetheengineinidlerunningbeforedrivingeachtime,
untilitcomesuptothenormalworkingtemperature.

Asshowninthefigure,singlecabinorone-and-half-rowcabincanbetilted
upwardandforwardby40degreesforeasymaintenance.

Tobegintilting,turnthepullingsupportwithlefthandtopulloutthesafetyhook
tiebar,andpulloutwardtheoperatinghandlewithrighthand.

Withtheoperatinghandlereleased,holdfirmthetiltingpullersupportwithleft
hand,andpullthelimithandleoutwardwithrighthand.Thecabinwilltiltfor鄄
wardforacertaindegreeafterthehandleopened.

Whenthecabintiltstoacertainangle,theself-lockinghandleonthetilting
supportwillautomaticallylocksinbythespringtension,andthehandlewill
supportthecabinthen.

Cabinlockup

Withlefthandholdingfirmlythetiltingpullersupport,opentheself-lockhandle
upwardandbackwardwithrighthand.Thecabinwilltiltdownwardbyitselfdue
tothedeadweight.
Attention:Keepyourheadandhandsawayfromunderthecabinwhenitistilt鄄
ingdownwardbyitself.

Whengoingdowntoacertainangle,thecabinwillslowdown.Holdthetilting
pullersupportandpressitdownwithlefthand,untilthelockhookgetengaged
inthehooklimitsupportontheframe.

Thenholdtheoperatinghandlewithrighthandandpressitdown,untilthe
safetyhooksecurelylockstheoperatinghandle.

Temperaturegauge

Itshowstheenginecoolanttemperature.Ifthehandisintheredzonewhen
engineisrunning,itmeanstheengineisoverheat.Alwayspayattentionto
keepingtheenginetemperatureatnormaldegrees.
Note:
Therewillbesomedifferencebetweentheactualtemperatureandthetemp.
readingofthetachometerduetothesurroundinganddrivingconditions.
Ifthetemperatureinsideandoutsidethevehicleisbelow-30orabove70de鄄
grees,itwillbringaboutinexacttemperaturereadingvalues.

Turnsignalindicatorlight(green)

Whenaturnsignallampisflashing,itsindicatorlightwillflashonandoff.Ifthe
flashisveryshortininterval,itispossiblethattheturnsignalconnectedwithit
hassomeproblemormaybeoneofthebulbsisburntdown.

Highbeamindicatorlight(blue)

Theindicatorlightwillbeonwhenthehighbeamison.

Dieselwarm-upindicatorlight(lightyellow)

Whenpressingthewarm-upswitchin"ON"position,thisindicatorlightison.
Thetimewhentheindicatorlightisondependsonthewatertemperature.

Lowfuellevelwarninglight(lightyellow)

Thislightwillbeonwhenthefueloillevelisverylowinthetank.Fueloil
shouldbeaddedatonce.

Oilpressurewarninglight(red)

Itisonwhentheignitionswitchisin"ON",andisoffaftertheengineisstarted.If
thislightisonduringenginerunning,stoptheengineimmediately,andgetin
touchwiththenearestJACvehicledealer.

Chargingwarninglight(red)

Whentheignitionswitchisin"ON"position,thislightison,andbecomesoffaf鄄
tertheengineisstarted.Ifthelightremainsonduringtheenginerunning,it
meanssomethingwrongwiththechargingsystem.ChecktheVbeltforany
damage,andcontactthenearestJACvehicledealer.

Rearfoglightindicatorlight

Thisindicatorlightgetsonwhentherearfoglightisturnedon.

Waterquantityindicatorlightofthefuelfilter

Whenwaterintheoil/waterseparatorreachesadangerouslevel,thewater
quantityindicatorlightofthefuelfilterison.Iftheindicatorlightremainsondur鄄
ingtheenginerunningafteritison,itmeansthatwaterintheoil/watersepara鄄
torshouldbedrainedout.

Windshieldwiperworkingindication

Turningtheoperationhandleinhorizontalclockwisemaycontrolthewindshield
wiper.Turntheoperationhandle12degreesclockwiseintotheINTposition,
thewindshieldwiperwillworkintermittentlyin5-10seconds;turnthehandle12
degreesclockwiseintotheL0position,thewiperwillworkatthelowspeed
level;turnthehandlefurther12degreesclockwise,andthewiperwillworkat
highspeedlevel;whenthehandlegetsintothestartingposition,thewiperwill
automaticallybeturnedofforreset.

Washerindication

Thewashercontrolbuttonisattheendoftheoperationhandle,andthewindshieldwasherisinstalledneartherightdoor
andbelowtheinstrumentpanel.Whenthewashercontrolbuttonispressedin,detergent (anti-freezesolutionforwinter
time)willbeinjectedoutofthewasherthroughthenozzlesontothewindshield.

Dangerwarningswitch

Pressingthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,will
soundanalarm,atthismomentalltheturnsignallampswillbeflashing,and
havenothingtodowiththepositionswheretheyare.Pressitagain,theswitch
willreset.
Whenvehiclemeetswithanydangerthatmaycausetrafficaccident,thisdan鄄
gerwarninglightshallbeusedindayandnighttosoundanalarmtoother
drivers.

Foglightswitch

Whenthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,ispressed,
allthefoglightswillbeturnedon,andonemorepresswillhaveareset.
Whenvehiclemeetswithanydangerthatmaycausetrafficaccident,thisdan鄄
gerwarninglightshallbeusedindayandnighttosoundanalarmtoother
drivers.

Preheatingswitch

Whenthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,ispressed
andhelddownin"ON"position,theindicatorlightison.Theholdingdowntime
isdependentonthewatertemperature,normallyabout30seconds.
Iftheambienttemperatureisbelowzeroorevenlower,pressthispreheating
switchbeforestartingthevehicleinordertoraisetheinletairtemperaturefor
theenginetoachievesmoothstartup.

Combinationswitch

Locatedbelowthesteeringwheel,itconsistsofsteeringshaftlockseat,ignition
startuplockandtheignitionswitch.

Ignitionswitch

Locatedtotherightofthecombinationswitch,theignitionswitchservesas4
functionslikeLOCK,ACC,ONandSTART.SeeleftFig.forthepositions
shown.InsertthekeyintoLOCKposition,theignitionswitchispoweredonand
unlockthesteeringgear.TurnthekeyclockwiseintoACCposition,theauxil鄄
iarydevicescircuitsarepoweredon,suchasradioandtapeplayer,etc.Turn
thekeytoONposition,theinstrumentscircuitsarepoweredon.Goontoturn
thekeytoSTARTposition,theengineisstarted.Releasethekeyassoonas
theengineisstarted,andthekeywillgobacktoONpositionunderthespring
force.

Cigarettelighter

Itisinthelowerrighttothesteeringwheel.Ifyouwanttouseit,pressitinward
forabout15seconds,withtheignitionswitchkeyin"ON"position,andthenre鄄
leaseit.Itwillheatupenoughforusebeforeautomaticallygoingbacktoits
normalposition.

1.Donotholdonthecigarettelighterafteritispushedin,otherwiseitwillbe
overheatedandmaycausefire.

2.Ifthecigarettelighterfailstoautocomebacktoitsnormalpositionin18sec鄄
onds,itmeansithassomethingwrong,andyoumustmanuallypullitbackto
itsnormalposition.

3.Donotleavethecabinwiththecigarettelighterpushedin,otherwiseitmay
causeunexpectedfire.

4.Adeformedcigarettelightercannotcorrectlyrecoiltoitsoriginalposition.Ifit
isfounddeformed,pleasereplaceitwithatrueJACsparepart.

Leftashtray

Pullouttheashtrayforuse.Pullouttheashtrayfurtherwhilepressingtheposi鄄
tioningspring,anditmaybetakenoutforcleaningpurpose.
Turnbackandclosetheashtrayafteruse,otherwisethestillburningcigarette
mayigniteotherbuttsandcausepossiblefire.

Rightashtray

Pullouttheashtrayforuse.Pullouttheashtrayfurtherwhilepressingtheposi鄄
tioningspring,anditmaybetakenoutforcleaningpurpose.Turnbackand
closetheashtrayafteruse,otherwisethestillburningcigarettemayigniteother
buttsandcausepossiblefire.

Controlleronthefloorpan
Gearshiftlever

Eachtimebeforeyoushiftthegears,youshouldfirststepontheclutchpedal
totheend.Thegearshiftchartisonthetopofthegearshiftlever.Withthekey
in"ON"position,thebackingindicatorlightwillbeonifthegearshiftleveris
movedtotheReversegearposition.

Acceleratorpedal

Toavoidunnecessaryfuelconsumption,operatetheacceleratorpedalina
properandbalancedwayaccordingtotheneed.

Brakepedal

Toavoidsharpbraking,thebrakepedalshouldbeoperatedsmoothly.When
drivingalongadownslope,youshouldusethefootbrakepedalnowandthen
whileusingtheventasauxiliarybrakingmeans.
Ifenginecut-outoccursduringrunning,thebrakeboosterwillnotfullyfunction,
andthebrakingeffectwillbelowered.
Insuchacase,steponthebrakepedalwithforcetohaveenoughbrakingef鄄
fect.

Clutchpedal

Theclutchpedalmustbesteppedontotheendwhenitisused,otherwisethe
gearsinthegearboxwillgiveoutfrictionnoises,andtheclutch-platewillbe
wornoutsoon.

Pulloutandtheupperpartoftheglovecompartmentwillopen.

Ifthehead-onsunshineisdazzling,thesunvisorcanbelowereddownto
shieldthesunlight.Thissunvisormayalsobehookedoffandturnedtothe
sideforuse.

Ceilinglight要rearviewmirror

Nomatterwhichpositionthestartupkeyisin,theceilinglightinthecabincan
beturnedonoroff.

淤 "OFF"position:thislightisinoffstate.
于 "Door"position:whenthesidedoorofthecabinisopened,thislightwillbe

on.
盂 "Powered"position:nomatterwhatkindofstatethedoorisin,thislightwill

Standbywatertankforradiator

Thestandbywatertankfortheradiatorisinstalledontherightsideofthe
frame.
Checkthecoolingwaterlevelandmakeupcoolingwateratthestandbywater
tank.Donotopentheinjectionportcoverattheradiatorunlessneededpartic鄄
ularly.Seethe"Maintenance"fordetails.

Fueltankcap

Thefueltankcapisontopofthefueltank,anditcanbescrewedoffcounter鄄
clockwise.

Fluidreservoirforbrakeandclutch

Thefluidreservoirisinstalledbytheinstrumentpanelnearthedriverside.

Sparetirehanger

Thesparetireisfastenedtobackoftheframe.Tolowerdownthesparetire,
insertthehandleintotheholeintherearcrossbeamtoconnectitwiththe
snap-lock,andthenturnthehandlecounterclockwise.

Howtoopenandclosetherearboard

Turnthehandlesontherightandleftsidesbothupwardfor180degrees,and
therearboardcanbereleased.Toclosedit,turntheboardclosefirstbefore
turningdownthehandlestofastenit.

Rightandleftsideboards

1.Releasethelockknucklesoftherearboard.

2.Movethefastenedhandleleftwardbeforeputtingdowntheverticallockout鄄
wardstoreleaseit.

3.Liftupthehookhandleonthefrontendofthesideboardtoreleasethefront
hook.

4.Atthistime,thefrontendofthesideboardisstillfastenedbytheboard
clamp.Pullouttheboardclampwithforcetoletfreethesideboard.

5.Toclosethesideboard,securelylockupthefrontendofsideboardwiththe
hookhandle,andputitintotheverticallockoftherearboardbeforefasteningit
withthehandle.
