Overload
Overloadingwillshortenvehicle'sservicelife,butalsobringaboutpotentialrisk tosafedriving. Theloadingmassmustbelimitedtothespecifiedrangeofthemax.totalmass forvehicle,andtheloaddistributionsonthefrontandrearshaftsshallnotbe morethanthecarryingcapacityofthevehicleshafts.Pleaserefertothetechni calspecificationsheetfortheratedtotalmassvalueandshaftloadingcapacity.

Carefuldrivingandmaintenanceduringtherun-inperiodwillplayacrucialroleinimprovementofthe performanceandservicelife.So,thefollowingsmustbestrictlyabidedbyduringtheinitialrun-inperi odof3000km:
1.Duringtheinitial3000kmdriving,thevehiclespeedshallnotbemorethan 70%ofthemax.enginespeed.Attentionshouldbepaidtothetachometerdur ingdrivingtoavoidengineoverspeedrunning.
2.Trytoavoidengineoverspeedrunning,abruptstartuporunnecessarye mergencybraking.
3.Itisnecessarytohavetheengineinidlerunningbeforedrivingeachtime, untilitcomesuptothenormalworkingtemperature.

Asshowninthefigure,singlecabinorone-and-half-rowcabincanbetilted upwardandforwardby40degreesforeasymaintenance.
Tobegintilting,turnthepullingsupportwithlefthandtopulloutthesafetyhook tiebar,andpulloutwardtheoperatinghandlewithrighthand.
Withtheoperatinghandlereleased,holdfirmthetiltingpullersupportwithleft hand,andpullthelimithandleoutwardwithrighthand.Thecabinwilltiltfor wardforacertaindegreeafterthehandleopened.

Itshowstheenginecoolanttemperature.Ifthehandisintheredzonewhen engineisrunning,itmeanstheengineisoverheat.Alwayspayattentionto keepingtheenginetemperatureatnormaldegrees. Note: Therewillbesomedifferencebetweentheactualtemperatureandthetemp. readingofthetachometerduetothesurroundinganddrivingconditions. Itisonwhentheignitionswitchisin"ON",andisoffaftertheengineisstarted.If thislightisonduringenginerunning,stoptheengineimmediately,andgetin touchwiththenearestJACvehicledealer.
Chargingwarninglight(red)
Whentheignitionswitchisin"ON"position,thislightison,andbecomesoffaf tertheengineisstarted.Ifthelightremainsonduringtheenginerunning,it meanssomethingwrongwiththechargingsystem.ChecktheVbeltforany damage,andcontactthenearestJACvehicledealer.
Rearfoglightindicatorlight
Thisindicatorlightgetsonwhentherearfoglightisturnedon.

Waterquantityindicatorlightofthefuelfilter
Whenwaterintheoil/waterseparatorreachesadangerouslevel,thewater quantityindicatorlightofthefuelfilterison.Iftheindicatorlightremainsondur ingtheenginerunningafteritison,itmeansthatwaterintheoil/watersepara torshouldbedrainedout.
Windshieldwiperworkingindication
Turningtheoperationhandleinhorizontalclockwisemaycontrolthewindshield wiper.Turntheoperationhandle12degreesclockwiseintotheINTposition, thewindshieldwiperwillworkintermittentlyin5-10seconds;turnthehandle12 degreesclockwiseintotheL0position,thewiperwillworkatthelowspeed level;turnthehandlefurther12degreesclockwise,andthewiperwillworkat highspeedlevel;whenthehandlegetsintothestartingposition,thewiperwill automaticallybeturnedofforreset.
Washerindication
Thewashercontrolbuttonisattheendoftheoperationhandle,andthewindshieldwasherisinstalledneartherightdoor andbelowtheinstrumentpanel.Whenthewashercontrolbuttonispressedin,detergent (anti-freezesolutionforwinter time)willbeinjectedoutofthewasherthroughthenozzlesontothewindshield.
Dangerwarningswitch
Pressingthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,will soundanalarm,atthismomentalltheturnsignallampswillbeflashing,and havenothingtodowiththepositionswheretheyare.Pressitagain,theswitch willreset. Whenvehiclemeetswithanydangerthatmaycausetrafficaccident,thisdan gerwarninglightshallbeusedindayandnighttosoundanalarmtoother drivers.

Foglightswitch
Whenthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,ispressed, allthefoglightswillbeturnedon,andonemorepresswillhaveareset. Whenvehiclemeetswithanydangerthatmaycausetrafficaccident,thisdan gerwarninglightshallbeusedindayandnighttosoundanalarmtoother drivers.
Preheatingswitch
Whenthisswitch,locatedinthelowerleftcornerofthedashboard,ispressed andhelddownin"ON"position,theindicatorlightison.Theholdingdowntime isdependentonthewatertemperature,normallyabout30seconds. Iftheambienttemperatureisbelowzeroorevenlower,pressthispreheating switchbeforestartingthevehicleinordertoraisetheinletairtemperaturefor theenginetoachievesmoothstartup.
Combinationswitch
Locatedbelowthesteeringwheel,itconsistsofsteeringshaftlockseat,ignition startuplockandtheignitionswitch.
Ignitionswitch
Locatedtotherightofthecombinationswitch,theignitionswitchservesas4 functionslikeLOCK,ACC,ONandSTART.SeeleftFig.forthepositions shown.InsertthekeyintoLOCKposition,theignitionswitchispoweredonand unlockthesteeringgear.TurnthekeyclockwiseintoACCposition,theauxil iarydevicescircuitsarepoweredon,suchasradioandtapeplayer,etc.Turn thekeytoONposition,theinstrumentscircuitsarepoweredon.Goontoturn thekeytoSTARTposition,theengineisstarted.Releasethekeyassoonas theengineisstarted,andthekeywillgobacktoONpositionunderthespring force.

Pullouttheashtrayforuse.Pullouttheashtrayfurtherwhilepressingtheposi tioningspring,anditmaybetakenoutforcleaningpurpose. Turnbackandclosetheashtrayafteruse,otherwisethestillburningcigarette mayigniteotherbuttsandcausepossiblefire.
Rightashtray
Pullouttheashtrayforuse.Pullouttheashtrayfurtherwhilepressingtheposi tioningspring,anditmaybetakenoutforcleaningpurpose.Turnbackand closetheashtrayafteruse,otherwisethestillburningcigarettemayigniteother buttsandcausepossiblefire.

Controlleronthefloorpan Gearshiftlever
Eachtimebeforeyoushiftthegears,youshouldfirststepontheclutchpedal totheend.Thegearshiftchartisonthetopofthegearshiftlever.Withthekey in"ON"position,thebackingindicatorlightwillbeonifthegearshiftleveris movedtotheReversegearposition.
Acceleratorpedal
Toavoidunnecessaryfuelconsumption,operatetheacceleratorpedalina properandbalancedwayaccordingtotheneed.
Brakepedal
Toavoidsharpbraking,thebrakepedalshouldbeoperatedsmoothly.When drivingalongadownslope,youshouldusethefootbrakepedalnowandthen whileusingtheventasauxiliarybrakingmeans. Ifenginecut-outoccursduringrunning,thebrakeboosterwillnotfullyfunction, andthebrakingeffectwillbelowered. Insuchacase,steponthebrakepedalwithforcetohaveenoughbrakingef fect.
Clutchpedal
Theclutchpedalmustbesteppedontotheendwhenitisused,otherwisethe gearsinthegearboxwillgiveoutfrictionnoises,andtheclutch-platewillbe wornoutsoon. Footofftheclutchpedalwhennotusingit.

Thefueltankcapisontopofthefueltank,anditcanbescrewedoffcounter clockwise.

Sparetirehanger

Pullouttheoilleveler,wipeitcleanandputitbackagain. Pullouttheoilleveleragaintocheckiftheoillevelisbetweentheupperand lowerlimits.Alsochecktheoilcontaminationdegreefromtheoilleveler. Beforecheckingtheoillevel,thetruckshouldbeparkedonflatground,and shouldwait5minutesaftertheenginecutsout.
Fanbelt
Fingerpressthemiddlepartofthebeltwith98Nmforce,tocheckifthefanbelt deflectionisintherangeof8-12mm. Meanwhile,checkthebeltforanycracksordamages.
Ifthebelttensionistoosmall,thebatterymaybeunderchargedorthealterna torgetsoverheated.Buttheover-tensionwillbringaboutdamagestotheAC engineorVbelt. Thefanbeltshouldbecarefullychecked.Ifitisbroken,thevacuumbooster andtheexhaustauxiliarybrakewillnotabletofunction.
Batteryelectrolytelevel

Manualsteeringmechanism:10-30mm Powersteeringmechanism:10-50mm Atthismoment,measurethebacklashplayalongtheperipheryofthesteering wheelwiththefrontwheelsheadingexactlyforward.
Ifthetruckisprovidedwithpowersteeringmechanism,measurethesteering wheelbacklashwiththeenginerunning. Besides,swaythesteeringwheelrightandleftorbackandforthtoseeifitis slack. Duringdriving,checkifthesteeringwheelisdifficulttosteer,ifitisvibratingor pulledbacktooneside,etc. Ifsomeabnormalphenomenaarefound,suchasbiggapandslackofthe steeringmechanismparts,immediatelyentrustthespecifiedJACautomobile servicestationstocheckthesteeringmechanism.

4.Operatethehandleofthemanualpumpontheoil/waterseparatorforsever altimestoventthefuelsystem.
5.Afterthefuelfilterisvented,starttheenginewiththestartswitch.
6.Iftheenginefailstostartwithin10seconds,ventthesystemagain.
Enginecoolingwater
Tochangethecoolingwater,loosenthedischargevalvesontheradiatorand cylinderblocktodrainthewateroutofthecoolingsystem. Theenginecoolingsystemshouldbewashedatleastonceayear,toensure thebestcoolingeffect. JACrecommendsuseofanti-freezingfluidswithoutanycontentofrustpre ventiveandotheradditives.
Valveclearanceadjustment
1.Turnthecrankshaftuntilthetopdeadcenteronthecrankshaftpulleyisin
alignmentwiththetimingmark,tohavethepistoninthefirstorthefourth cylindermovetothetopdeadcenterofthecompressionstroke.

1.Trulyreleasetheparkingbrake.

3.Checkthelevelinthebrakefluidreservoir,andaddsomemoreifneeded. Ventthebrakehydraulicloopinthefollowingsteps. Rearrightwheel要要要rearleftwheel要要要frontrightwheel要要要frontleftwheel.
4.Takeofftherubberhousingfromtheventingscrewandcleanit.Connectthe
ethylenehosetotheventingscrew,andputtheotherendofthehoseintoa transparentvessel.
5.Repeatedlysteponthebrake,andkeepitsteppedon.
6.Loosentheventingscrew,anddischargethebrakefluidwithbubblestogeth
erintoavessel,andtightentheventingscrewatonce.

7.Slowlyreleasethebrakepedal,anddoitrepeatedlyuntilbubblesdisappear inthebrakefluidpumpedintothevessel.Duringtheventing,keepthebrake fluidinthebrakefluidreservoiratthespecifiedlevel.Putthehousingbackin positionafterventingisover.
8.Afterventingisfinishedforallthewheels,checkthelevelinthebrakefluid reservoir,andaddsomemoreifnecessary.
Parkingbrakeadjustment
Itisnormalthattheparkingbrakehandletravelsupto5-8notchesifitis pulledwithaforceof30kg.Theparkingbrakecanbeadjustedinthefollowing ways:
1.Withthefrontwheelsfixed,releasetheparkingbrake.
2.Jackuptherearwheelsoffthegroundcompletely;pullthegearshiftlever
backtotheneutral.Turnthepropellershafttoaligntheadjustingholeinthe brakedrumwiththepinion.Theadjusterislocatedbelowthecenterlineofthe propellershaft.
3.Insertascrewdriverintotheadjustingholeinthebrakedrum;turnthepinion
upwarduntilitcanbeturnednomore.
4.Turnthepinionbackfromtheabovepositionby25notches,andthencheck
thetraveloftheparkingbrakehandle.

Itismandatorytokeepatireinflationpressurevalueuptotherequirement. Forthetruckswithdualwheelsasthetwo-tirerearwheels,itwillsufficetouse generalinflatingvalvespannertohelpmeasuretheairpressureofthetireson theinnerside.

Headlights
Properlyadjusttheheadlights,toensureadequateilluminationlevelonthe highwaysandnodazzlelightingtodriversinothervehicleshead-on.Whenyou needtoadjusttheheadlights,you'dbettercontacttheauthorizedJACservice stationsthathavespecialequipment. Theheadlights'lighting TightentheScrewAforverticaladjustment,andtightenScrewBforhorizontal adjustment.
Replacementofbulbs

Guidetolubrication Changeoftheengineoil
Removethedrainpluginthelowerpartoftheoilsump,anddrainawaythe engineoilintheenginecrankcase. Retightenthedrainplugaftercompletedrainageoftheengineoilintheengine crankcaseandthefuelfilter. Afterwards,pourthenewengineoilofthespecifiedgradeintotheengine crankcasethroughtheoilfillingportinthecylinderhead.Note:Hotengineoil mayscaldskins,sopleasewaitfortheenginetocooldownbeforedrainingoil.
Theengineoilsurfacelevelintheoilsumpismeasuredbythedipstickfixedon theinnersideoftheengine.Whenmeasuring,theengineshouldnotberun ning,waitfortheoilsurfacetobecomestillbeforepullingoutthedipstick,and wipeofftheoilfromthedipstickwithcleancottoncloth.Dipthedipstickintothe oilsumpagaintothebottom,andthenpullitouttochecktheoillevel.There aretwoscalelinesonthedipstick,theengineoillevelshouldnotbebelowthe lowerscale,ortherewillbedifficultoilsupply.Buttheengineoillevelshould notbeovertheupperscaleline,otherwisetherewilloccurcarbondeposition, fumesandoilpermeation,etc.Therefore,apartfromconstantattentiontothe
normalityoftheengineoilpressure,theengineoilsurfacelevelshouldbe checkedbeforedrivingoutandatanintervalof300-500km.
Replacementofgearboxoil
Screwoffthedrainholeplug(D)inthebottomofthegearboxcasing,drainthe oiloutofthegearboxcasing.Then,infillthespecifiedlubricantoilintothe gearboxcasingthroughthelevelinspectionhole,untiltheoillevelgoesupto thescrewplug(L)ofthelevelinspectionhole.

Replacementofthegreasesforthefrontandrearhubbearings
Replacementofthegreasesforthefrontandlefthubbearingsneedsdisas semblyandreassemblyofthebearings,sopleaseentrusttheauthorizedJAC servicestationstodothat.Propermaintenanceanddrivingcanprolongtheve hicleservicelife,butalsocanimprovethefuelandoileconomicefficiency.
Replacementofsteeringoilandfluid Exhaustfluid
1.Jackupthefrontaxleoffthegroundcompletely.
2.Removetheoilpipes (2pieces)betweenthesteeringgearandthepower
steeringoilreservoir.
3.Afterthesteeringfluidisdrainedoff,starttheengineinshorttime,turnthe
steeringwheelrightandlefttoitslimitpositionswithoutover15seconds,until theresidualfluidiscompletelydrainedfromthesteeringpipes.
Newfluidfill-up
1.Fixtheremovedoilpipeintheoilpotandinfillthespecifiedpowersteering
fluid.
2.Fillinthepowersteeringfluidupbetweenthescalemarksintheoilpot.
Takecarethatthefluidsurfacesinksinparallelwiththefill-up,soastokeepa stablelevelagainstanyairtrappedin.
3.Lowerdownthefrontwheelsontotheground,starttheengineintoidle
speedforseveralminutes,androtatethesteeringwheelrightandleft.
4.Checkthelevelagainstthescalemark,andaddsomemoreifneeded.
