The nickel metal hydride (Ni-MH) BATTERYPACK in the HANDSET can be recharged many times using the built-in charger in the BASE UNIT.
When the BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR starts blinking on the LCD Screen, this indicates that the BATTERYPACK needs to be recharged.
Charge the BATTERYPACK at least once every 90 days of non-use to avoid battery failure. When the BATTERYPACK can no longer be charged, replacement of the BATTERYPACK will be necessary.
The BATTERYPACK used in your telephone may develop a condition known as “MEMORY”. Once subjected to a regular short discharging routine, the BATTERYPACK assumes the discharging pattern it was subjected to. This causes rapid discharging thereby shortening the BATTERYPACK charge span. If you believe your BATTERYPACK has developed a “MEMORY” condition, do not charge the HANDSET until the BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR starts blinking on the LCD Screen. When the BATTERY CHARGE INDICATOR starts blinking on the LCD Screen, then charge the HANDSET fully for 12 hours.
