Digital Charm
Overview:
The Digital Charm is equipped with 4MB of flash memory and can hold up to 54 of your pictures. You may access and browse through stored pictures. Please note in this manual we refer to your Digital Charm as DC.

When you first get your DC you need to charge it. You can do this by plugging the USB cable into the DC via the socket under the strap and plugging the other end into the power adaptor or to your PC. We recommend that you charge your DC during the first charge for at least 4-5 hours. You can recharge the DC at any time via your computer or mains adaptor. After the initial charge, each subsequent charge time is approximately 2 hours.
Getting to know your Digital Charm
Lithium Batteries:
When you first receive your DC you need to charge it by plugging the USB lead supplied into your computer and then plugging the other end into you DC. We suggest that the first time you charge it you do so for 4-5 hours. Make sure you turn your Digital Charm On while charging. Once you’ve loaded your pictures onto your DC you can charge it by plugging it into the supplied USB

mains charger. The battery indicator will flash while charging. After charging for 4-5 hours you can remove the USB cable. The unit will turn Off when you remove the cable. Press and hold the Power/Up button to turn it On.
Auto power Off:
When the DC is left idle for 2 minutes it will automatically turn Off. To turn it back On press the Power/Up button.
Low battery indicator:
When the battery is low, the battery indicator icon will become red, at the same time, “low battery” is shown on the LCD screen as below. Simply plug your DC in to your computer via the USB cable supplied or via the USB power supply.
Note:
When the battery is low, not all keys will function.

ON/OFF Switch:
Slide the On/Off switch to “On” and the DC will turn On if charged. Slide the On/Off switch to “OFF” and the DC will turn Off. We recommend that if you are not using your DC for some time you should turn it Off.
Power/UP button:
When the On/Off switch is in the “On” position press and hold the Power/Up button for 3 seconds. The DC will start and then your photos will appear in the LCD panel. Press the Power/Up button for 3 seconds again and the DC will turn Off. In display photo mode, press Power/Up button to display the previous photo.
Note: The DC cannot be turned Off by pressing Power/Up button when it is connected to the PC or USB charger.

Down/Auto play button:
In display photo mode, press the Down/Auto play button to display the next photo. Press and hold the Up/Power button for 3 seconds to set Auto play On or Off.
Note: the DC will not auto turn Off in this mode.
Auto play photos:
If auto play mode is set to On, the DC will cycle through your photos. If the auto play mode is Off you can manually cycle through the images by pressing the Up/Down buttons.
Delete Button:
How to delete ONE photo on your DC: First select the picture you want to delete, and then press the middle Delete
button. “Delete” will flash on the screen. To confirm that you want to delete the picture press the Delete button again.
How to delete ALL pictures: Press and hold the middle Delete button. “Delete All?” will flash on the screen. Press the Delete button again to confirm delete all.
Display and Storage of Photos:
The Digital Charm can store and display 54 photos of any of the following formats:

To load pictures onto your DC you need to install the software supplied on the enclosed CD. Place the CD in your drive and click on Install Software. The link to our website will give some ideas on how to get the most out of your DC and has some links to some useful freeware software.
Software Installation
1. Place the supplied CD into your CD-Rom and click on Install DC software.
IMPORTANT NOTE: DO NOT CONNECT THE DC TO YOUR COMPUTER DURING THE SOFTWARE INSTALLATION PROCESS.
2. Open the software by going to Start and the Photo Viewer option on the Menu.

Download Photos
1. Plug the other end of the USB cable into a USB port on your computer. Listen for the beep from your DC to ensure that the cable is properly connected.
2. Double click the Photo Viewer icon that is in your menu list.
This will launch the program. In the top left hand corner you will see a
window to browse the files on your PC. When you select an image, it will appear in the box below as it will appear on your DC. If you want to download this picture to your DC, press the Add button.
If you would like to focus on a particular part of the photo click Crop Photo
and highlight the area you want to appear in you DC; you can move and resize the focus area.
3. You remove pictures from the right hand window by clicking on Remove
or
Remove All.
4. To download the photos onto your DC click on Download.
