2.4PowerSupply

I-Transiaisequippedwithabatterythatrequiresregularrecharging.Thepowersupplyfor thetransformerandthechargingstationmustbeconnectedbyacertifiedtechnician.
Thetransformersuppliedmustalwaysbeused.

2.5RadioFrequencyInterference

remaincorrectlyplacedinthehangerbar’shooks.

2.Placethelowestsetofstrapsfromthelegsoftheslingonthehooksonthehangerbar.

trapped.
Becarefulwithanytubesandwiresthatareattachedtotheuser.Checkthattheredemergencystrap,handcontrolandhandcontrolcableare
freeofthehangerbar,userandotherobjectsbeforethehoistisactivated andmovedupordown.
–Whenthehoistisusedcorrectly,theusershouldonlybeliftedtotheextent
thatshe/heisclearofthesurfaceandshouldbemovedatthisheight.

Followthisprocedurewhenliftingapersonfromaseatedposition(wheelchair,commode, etc.).
1.MovetheI-Transiatowardsthepersontobelifted.
2.Positionthehangerbaratthesameheightastheperson’schestandnocloserthan mid-thigh.
3.Positionthehangerbarsoitisparalleltotheperson’sshoulders.

8.2MaintenanceandSafetyInspection

ServiceInterval
Atnormaldailyoperation,aservicecheck-upshouldtakeplaceeveryyear,accordingto theSafetyInspectionChecklistintheServiceManual.Whenperformingannualorregular maintenance,allpartsdesignedtocarryloadmustbe,asaminimum,testedwithload.All safetyfeaturesmustbecheckedaccordingtoENISO10535:2006AnnexB.Thisinspection mustbeperformedbyacertifiedtechnician.
LOLERStatement
TheUKHealthandSafetyExecutive’sLiftingOperationsandLiftingEquipmentRegulations 1998,requireanyequipmentthatisusedintheworkplacetoliftaloadbesubjectto safetyinspectiononasixmonthlybasis.PleaserefertotheHSEwebsiteforguidance www.hse.gov.uk.
ThepersonresponsiblefortheequipmentmustensureadherencetoLOLERregulations.
