Explosion-proof contact with conduit fitting and screw terminals
Maximum security contact
The Sentrol 2840T series maximum security magnetic
contacts with screw terminals have a rugged housing, die
cast aluminum, with attractive brown textured paint. The
wider make distance permits faster installation,
accommodates greater misalignment and works better on
steel without time-consuming brackets. The wider break
distance also helps to prevent false alarms due to
loose-fitting doors.
High security
The terminals are inside the housing, protected from
tampering and accidental shorting. The corrosion resistant,
hermetically sealed switch works well in moist or dusty
areas. The rhodium-plated contacts are not subject to
sticking or freezing on seldom-used doors.
High quality components and materials
Reed legs are plated with rhodium or ruthenium, and
hermetically sealed in dry nitrogen. This offers superior
protection against sticking and provides a moisture free
environment therefore preventing corrosion.
Durability and dependability
The Sentrol high performance magnetic contacts have been
designed to facilitate installation and ensure durability and
dependability. Most are conservatively rated at 10,000,000
cycles, guaranteeing a long life. Every reed connection is
hand soldered and each magnetic contact is tested before
they leave the factory, 100% of the time.
