5. Naming Convention
Intel’s 6Gb/s SAS RAID cards have product names per the convention RS2XX##^ where:
R = RAID S = SAS (“T” would be used for SATA) 2 = specification generation XX = two letters representing the Intel code name (For example, MB = Mobile Bay) ## = internal port count ^ = external port count
