1.1 Product Descriptions – Overview

Products based on the Intel® Server Chassis P4000 are offered as both integrated systems (Known as
BIKs or Board in KDKs) and as standalone chassis (Known as KDKs or Knock Down Kits) at production.
This Configuration Guide focuses on the P4000 chassis family SKUs (KDKs). The rest of the integrated
systems (board in KDK) are included in each system’s Configuration Guide documents.

Pedestal Chassis Product SKUs have three different lengths based on which Intel

®

Server Board is

supported:

 The short version (21'') of the chassis supports uATX, ATX, and CEB form factor motherboards.
 The medium depth version (25'') of the chassis supports CEB and EEB form factor motherboards.
 The long version (27'') of the chassis supports S2400 family, S2600 family, and S1200 family

motherboards that do not follow EEB form factor.
