NOTICE !

This transceiver is programmable via PC, using the dedicated software and the PC interface
cable (optional items). Any programming or modification of the original default setting must be
made by a specialised technician or by an authorised service centre. Some functions of this
transceiver might be programmed in violation of the technical rules in force for the use of the VHF
and UHF FM bands. It is the user’s responsibility to check that any modification to the
programming will be done in compliance with the current regulations. Any modification to the
product, alteration of the internal circuit, of the external structure of the radio or any programming
in violation of the current regulations will automatically void the product certification and your right
to use the product. INTEK S.R.L. declines any responsibility concerning any modification of the
product, made by the user or by a third party, after delivery of the product.

NOTICE !

This transceiver has been factory programmed, in order to use the product immediately after
purchase. The programming includes the activation of channels/frequencies in the VHF and
UHF FM Amateur Bands, according to the technical rules in force for the use of this bands.

The use of VHF and UHF FM transceivers is subject to the regulations applied in the country where the
product has to be used. As regulations are usually subject to possible modifications, please check the
current regulations in your country with your dealer or local supplier. INTEK does not take any
responsibility for illegal use and operation of this product not in accordance with the regulation of the
country where the product is used.

Safety notice

The user must know and understand the common risks related to the use of transceivers. Do not use
the transceiver in environments at risk of explosion (where there are gas, dusts, smokes, etc.). Do not
use the transceiver in service areas or fuel stations, on board aircrafts, etc.

Cautions

Please observe the following precautions, in order to avoid causing fire, personal injuries or damage to
the radio:

It is suggested that each transmitted message lasts a few minutes only, since very long
transmissions at the maximum transmitter RF output power may overheat the transmitter.

Do not alter or modify in any way your transceiver.

Do not expose the transceiver for a long time to direct sunlight and do not place it close to
heat sources.

Do not expose the transceiver to excessively dusty or damp places, do not place it on
unstable surfaces.

In case of anomalous smell or smoke that leaks out from the transceiver, turn it off immediately
and remove the battery pack. Please contact an authorised service center.

Please do not dispose off used battery with common garbage. Please use the dedicated
disposal containers.

Unpacking and checking parts

Carefully unpack the product. Please identify all the parts listed below, before wasting the packaging. If
any part is missing or if the packaging shows any damage, please contact your dealer immediately.

Battery charging

Connect the 230VAC adaptor charger to the desk type battery charger
and to a 230VAC outlet. The red Led will flash to confirm that the charger
is powered.

Insert the empty battery or the transceiver with the battery pack in the
battery charger. Please make sure that the charging contacts of the radio
are connected with the charging contacts of the charger cradle. The Red
Led will light then the device is ready to begin the charging process. The
charging time depends on the battery condition and capacity). When the
charging process has finished, the Red Led lights off and the Green Led
will light. Remove the battery pack or the transceiver from the battery
charger and disconnect it from the AC outlet.

Warning !

The battery is supplied empty and it has to be fully recharged before use.

Some complete cycles of charge/discharge will be necessary in order for the battery to reach a
peak efficiency level.

Please do not charge the battery again when it has just been charged. Otherwise, you may
damage the battery or reduce its life.

The battery charger does not switch OFF automatically when charging is complete, therefore
please remove battery or radio from the charger cradle and disconnect it from the AC outlet.

Do not recharge battery for more than 8 hours, in order to avoid battery overheating.

To install the battery

Place the battery pack on the radio as showed in the drawing (item 1).

Push the battery pack forward (item 2) until it is locked on the radio
(item 3).

To remove the battery

To remove the battery pack, press the battery lock on the radio (item 1) and
push back the battery pack, as showed in the drawing (item 2).

Warning !

Please do not waste used batteries into the environment and do not trash them with the common
garbage. Please use the dedicated case for the collection of used up batteries at your supplier.

Do not attempt to open or remove the battery casing.

Do not short the battery terminals or throw the used batteries into fire.

Installing the antenna

Connect the antenna to the antenna connector located on the top panel of
the radio. Gently turn the antenna clockwise until locked.

Warning : Do not touch the antenna and do not move it close to a
microphone cable during transmission, as this might cause malfunction
and damage to the radio.

To install / to remove the belt clip

If necessary, attach the belt clip to the tranceiver,
making it slide along the fit runner placed on the rear
side of the battery (1) untill the lock will hook. To
remove the belt clip press the lock and slide the belt
clip away from the battery (2).

To install the external microphone (optional)

To install the external microphone, swing the protection cover of the external microphone/speaker jack.
This cover ensures the watertight integrity of the transceiver (spray-guard) that will not be ensured after
its removing. Insert the connector of the external microphone into the right jack.

In order to avoid mulfunction or damage to the transceiver, use only original microphones. Using non
original accessories will authomatically void the warranty.

Warning !

If an external earset-microphone is used, radio will not be splash proof.

GETTING ACQUAINTED WITH THE PRODUCT

1. Antenna

Rubber flexible antenna with SMA connector.

2. Power ON Switch and Volume Control

Switch on the transceiver turning the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to switch it off.
To increase the volume, turn the knob clockwise or counterclockwise to decrease it.

3. RX/TX LED Indicator

The LED indicator will light in green colour when the radio is receiving a signal and in red colour
during transmission.

4. Speaker

Built-in speaker.

5. LCD Display

Backlighted Dot Matrix LCD Display, provides clear reading and full information on every function
and status of the radio

6. UP/DOWN Keys

Frequency/Channels and menu operation selection keys.

7. MENU / CONFIRMATION Key

Press this key to Enter the menu mode. This key is also used to confirm the required function in
the menu mode.

8. Keypad

Backlighted rubber Keypad.

9. FUN (Exit) Key

This key is used in combination with other keys for select different functions. It is also used to exit
the programming menu.

10. Microphone

Built-in microphone.

11. PTT key (Push-To-Talk)

To transmit, press and keep pressed the PTT key (11), then speak into the microphone (10) with
your normal voice. To receive release the PTT key (11).

12. Lamp / Call Tone / FM RADIO Key

Quickly press this key to switch ON and OFF the LCD and keypad backlight function.
Press and hold this key to transmit the Call Tone Melody.
Press the FUN key (9) and the LAMP key (12) to enter the FM Radio Mode.

13. MONITOR Key

Press this key to open the Squelch and release it to close the Squelch.
This function opens Squelch in order to listen to the background noise and weak signals.

14. External earset-microphone jack rubber cover

This cover protects the external earset-microphone jack and makes the radio splash proof.

16. * Key

Radio has a Dual-Channel/Dual-Frequency LCD Display. The * key (16) is used to select the
desired upper line "A" (W) or lower line "B" (V) Channel/Frequency indication. (Please refer to the
LCD Display drawing). The arrowhead icons (R) indicate the selected Channel/Frequency A (W)
or B (V). For operating the Dual Watch function Dual Watch function, please refer to DW : Dual

Watch at page 18-19.

LCD DISPLAY

A. Signal Digital Bar Meter

Indicates the received signal strenght in the receive mode.

B. FM Icon

Indicates that the receiver is in FM RADIO mode.

C. S Icon

When the dual watch function is OFF, it indicates the secondary receiving frequency.
Please refer to Dual Watch function (MENU 32) at page 18-19.

D. CTS Icon

The CTS indication is lighted when the CTCSS function is enabled.

E. DCS Icon

The DCS indication is lighted when the DCS function is enabled.

F. N Icon

It indicates the Narrow bandwidth mode. Please refer to W/N function (MENU 27) at page 17-18.

G. R Icon

The R icon is lighted when the Reverse function is enabled.

H.

+ -

Icons

The + and - icons indicate if the transmitting frequency is higher (+) or lower (-) than the receiving
frequency on the used channel. Please refer to RPTMOD function (MENU 21) at page 16.

I. SCR Icon

Not available on this model.

L. 1750 Hz tone Icon

1750 Hz tones transmitting indicator.

M. ANI Icon

Non available on this model.

N. Numerical Indication

It shows the selected Channel/Memory Number and the function number in the Menu Mode.

O. Battery Level Indicator

It shows the current battery level condition.

P. Channel Scanning Icon

This Icon is lighed when the selected channel is programmed to the scanning list. Please refer to

SCNADD function (MENU item 24) at page 17.

Q.SSSS Icon

The SSSS icon (Q) is lighted when the power save mode is enabled.
Please refer to SAVE function (MENU 15) at page 15.

R. Selected Frequency/Channel Icon

The arrowhead icon (R) indicates the selected Channel/Frequency A (Upline) or B (Dowline).
Please refer to * Key (16) description at page 8.

S. Frequency Reading (75-25).

It shows the frequency decimals (KHz).

T. Keypad Lock Icon

The Lock icon is lighted when the keypad lock function has been enabled.

U. VOX Icon

The VOX icon is lighted when the VOX function has been enabled.

V. Lower Line Dot Matrix Indication ("B")

It provides full information on channel, frequency and all enabled functions.

W. Upper Line Dot Matrix Indication ("A")

It provides full information on channel, frequency and all enabled functions.

X. RF Digital Meter

It indicates the transmitter RF output power.

Y. H Icon

The H icon is lighted when the transmitter is in HIGH POWER mode.

GETTING STARTED
Power ON

Switch on the transceiver turning the Power/Volume knob (2) clockwise until you hear a click, the
transceiver now is in stand-by mode.

Volume adjustment

To adjust the volume, turn the volume knob (2) while using the MONITOR (13) key to listen to the
background noise of the channels.

Channel Mode

In CHANNEL MODE, press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to choose channels, or use numeric keys (8) to
input the desired channel number (from 1 to128).

Frequency Mode

In FREQUENCY MODE, press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired frequancy, or use numeric
keys (8) to manually input the desired frequency number. (NOTE: The defaults frequency step is

12.5KHz. Refer to STEP function at page 16 to select the desired frequency step.

Transmission / Receiving

In order to transmit, press the PTT (11) key and speak with your normal voice, keeping the microphone
at about 4 cm from your mouth. The LED indicator (3) will light in red color. Release the PTT (11) key at
the end of transmission. When receiving a signal, the LED indicator (3) will light in green colour.
In VOX Mode, trasmission is automatically initiated by speaking into the microphone (10) and there is
no need to push the PTT key (11).

Channel Saving

In FREQUENCY MODE, to store the desired frequency in a memory channel, please proceed as follow :

1. Press FUN key (9); the FUNC indication (W) appears on the LCD display (5).

2. Press MENU key (7); the SAVE indication (W) appears on the LCD display (5).

3. Press UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired channel number (V), from 1 to 128.

4. Press MENU key (7) to confirm and store channel.

Channel Deletion

To delete a channel, radio must be in CHANNEL-FREQUENCY MODE (CHFREQ).

1. Select the channel to remove and then turn OFF the radio.

2. Hold on the * key while turn on the radio. The LCD will show DEL ? (W) and the selected channel

number (N).

3. Press the MENU key (7) to confirm. After operation, the transceiver will return to CHANNEL­FREQUENCY MODE.

MENU SHORTCUT KEYS

Press the FUN (9) key, then press the numeric key to enter appropriate items. This shortcut function is
same as the items of menu, but they more easy to operate the Two Way Radio.

Menu Operation Details

Press the MENU key (7) to enter the MENU mode. Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired
menu item, indicated by the flashing numerical indication (N) (from 01 to 33) and press the MENU key
(7) to confirm; the selected function will be indicated by the arrowhead (R). Press the UP/DOWN keys
(6) to select the desired feature and press the MENU key (7) to confirm and return to MENU mode, or
press the FUN key (9) to confirm and return to Stand-by status.

Note : This radio has a Dual Channel/ Dual Frequency 2-line reading LCD. User can operate on two
separate VHF or UHF frequencies or channels (A and B). The up (A) and down (B) Channel/Frequency
indications (W / V) will display different options/settings that can be set using the menu. The indications
can be selected by pressing the * key (16).

SCAN : Scan Modes (MENU 01)

In MENU mode, select the function 01 (N); the SCAN indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the modes CO, TO
or SE.

CO : It is carrier scan mode. Scan stops on a signal until it is no more detected.
TO : Whenever a signal is detected, the radio will suspend the scan function for 5 seconds, and then it

will continue to scan even if the signal is still present.

SE : It is carrier scan mode. If a signal is detected, radio stop scanning and exits the Scan Mode.

Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Press FUN key (9) and 0 key to start automatic Scan function. Press FUN key (9) to stop scanning.

TOT : Time Out Timer Setup (MENU 02)

In MENU mode, select the item 02 (N); the TOT indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired transmitting time from
30 to 240 seconds or select OFF to disable the TOT function. Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the
operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other functions or press the FUN key (9) to return
to standby status. This feature sets the maximum transmit time before going back to receive
automatically. The TOT function avoid to transmit for an endless time, in order to prevent overheating or
damage to the transceiver. After a programmable time of 30-240 seconds of uninterrupted transmission,
the transceiver automatically stops the transmission emitting a warning tone .

VOX : Handsfree Operation (MENU 03)

In MENU mode, select the item 03 (N); the VOX indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select OFF (function disabled) or the
desired VOX level from 1 (low sensitivity) to 9 (high sensitivity). When the VOX function is enabled, the
VOX icon (U) appears on LCD display (5).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
In VOX Mode, trasmission is automatically initiated by speaking into the microphone (10) and there is
no need to push the PTT key (11).

WARNING ! Please make sure that the ROGER BEEP function is disabled before enabling the
VOX Mode !

CAL : Call Tone Setting (MENU 04)

In MENU mode, select the item 04 (N); the CAL indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired call tone melodies (1,
2, 3, 4) or OFF (function disabled).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
Press and hold the LAMP key (12) to transmit the Call Tone melody.

ROG : Roger Beep Tone Setup (MENU 05)

In MENU mode, select the item 05 (N); the ROG indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired Roger Beep tone (1, 2
or 3) or OFF (function disabled).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
Roger Beep Tone feature enables you to send a Beep Tone at the end of each transmission after every
release of the PTT key (11). This will prompt any receiving unit that your transmission has ended.

BEEP : Keypad Tone (MENU 06)

In MENU mode, select the item 06 (N); the BEEP indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ON (keypad tone enabled)
or OFF (keypad tone disabled).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

KYLOCK : Keypad Lock Setup (MENU 07)

In MENU mode, select the item 07 (N); the KYLOCK indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select MANU or AUTO modes.

MANU : The keypad will be locked manually.
AUTO : The keypad will be auto-locked in about 15 seconds after the last key-press.

Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Press MENU key (7) and * key to manually lock the keypad.
Press and Hold the FUN key (9) for 2 Seconds to Unlock the Keypad.

MEM-CH : Emergency Channel Setting (MENU 08)

In MENU mode, select the item 08 (N); the MEM-CH indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired emergency
channel (from 001 to 128).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) return to standby status.
To quick recall the stored Emeregency Channel, press FUN key (9) and * key.

LED : Display Backlight Setup (MENU 09)

In MENU mode, select the item 09 (N); the LED indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select AUT, ON or OFF.

AUT : The display backlight will be disabled after 5 seconds if no keys are pressed.
ON : The display backlight will be enabled.
OFF : The display backlight will be disabled.

Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

POW : Transmitter Output Power (MENU 10)

In MENU mode, select the item 10 (N); the POW indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select HIGH (High Transmitter output
power) or LOW (Low Transmitter output power).
When the High transmitter output power is selected, the H icon (Y) appears on LCD display (5).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

APO : Auto Power OFF (MENU 11)

In MENU mode, select the item 11 (N); the APO indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press

CTSCAN : CTCSS Scan (MENU 12)

In MENU mode, select the item 12 (N); the CTSCAN (W) and CTCSS (V) indications will appear on the
LCD display (5). Press MENU key (7) to start the CTCSS tones scanning on selected channel.
Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the scan direction.
During scanning process, the CTCSS code numbers (V) will be showed on LCD display (5).
Scan automatically stops when a CTCSS tone is detected. Press the MENU key (7) to associate the
detected CTCSS tone to the selected channel and talk with the user.

DCSCAN : DCS Scan (MENU 13)

In MENU mode, select the item 13 (N); the DCSCAN (W) and DCS (V) indications will appear on the
LCD display (5). Press MENU key (7) to start the DCS tones scanning on selected channel.
Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the scan direction.
During scanning process, the DCS code numbers (V) will be showed on LCD display (5).
Scan automatically stops when a DCS tone is detected. Press the MENU key (7) to associate the
detected DCS tone to the selected channel and talk with the user.

SQL : Squelch Level Setup (MENU 14)

In MENU mode, select the item 14 (N); the SQL indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired Squelch level from 0
(squelch opening) to 9 (lowest Squelch sensitivity). This function allows to silent the receiver by cutting
the background noise, when no signals are received.
If level 0 is selected, Squelch will be open and you will hear the background noise.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Note : Press the MONITOR key (13) to temporarily open Squelch and listen to the background noise.

SAVE : Power Save (MENU 15)

This function reduces the battery consumption when no signal is received or when no operation is
performed (it means when no key is pressed). The user may enable or disable this function.
In MENU mode, select the item 15 (N); the SAVE indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ON (function enabled) or
OFF (function disabled).

MODE : Frequency / Channel / Channel-Frequency / Name (MENU 16)

In MENU mode, select the item 16 (N); the MODE indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired operation
modes CH, MR, FREQ and NAME.
CH (Channel mode). The LCD display (5) will show the channel number on both the channel indications
lines "A" (W) and "B" (V) .
CHFREQ : (Channel-Frequency Mode). The LCD Display (5) may simultaneously show a frequency
reading and a channel number.
FREQ : (Frequency mode). The LCD display (5) will show the frequency reading on both
Channel/Frequency indications lines "A" (W) and "B" (V) .
NAME : (Channel name mode). The selected channel indication "A"(W) or "B" (V) will show the Channel
Name if stored in memory. To edit Channel Name please refer to CHNAME function at page 17.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation and return to Stand-by mode or press the FUN key (9)
to return to standby status.

C : Receiving & Transmitting CTCSS / DCS Tones (MENU 17)

In MENU mode, select the item 17 (N); the C- indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the * key (16) to switch between the CTCSS tone selection (C­CTC) and DCS tone selection (C-DCS). Press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired CTCSS or
DCS tone number or select OFF to disable the function.

OFFSET : TX / RX Frequency Offset (MENU 20)

offset value (from 0 to 69.9875 MHz) or digit the offset frequency directly by using the numeric keypad (8).

It is possible to transmit and receive in two different frequencies, by setting the frequency shift direction
(please refer to RPTMOD function).

E.g.: if you want to receive on 430.025 MHz frequency and transmit on 435.025 MHz frequency :

1. In Frequency Mode, set the frequency at 430.025 MHz

2. Select + (positive SHIFT direction) in RPTMOD function (MENU 21)

3. Enter the offset frequency function and then digit the frequency deviation to 05.000 (5 MHz).

Note : this function can be operate in FREQUENCY MODE only.

RPTMOD : Transmitting Frequency Shift Direction (MENU 21)

In MENU mode, select the item 21 (N); the RPTMOD indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired operation
modes (+ or -) or OFF (function disabled).

OFF : Function disabled.
+ : The transmitting frequency will be higher than the receiving frequency (positive OFFSET)

The + Icon (H) will appear on LCD display (5).

- : The transmitting frequency will be lower than the receiving frequency (positive OFFSET)

The - Icon (H) will appear on LCD display (5).

FMR : FM Radio Signal Monitor (MENU 23)

In MENU mode, select the item 23 (N); the FMR indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ON (function enabled) or OFF
(function disabled).

OFF : In FM Radio Mode, the radio will not revert to TRANSCEIVER Mode when a signal is detected.
ON : In FM Radio Mode, the radio will revert to TRANSCEIVER Mode when a signal is detected. When

no more signal is detected, the radio will switch to FM Radio Mode after 10 seconds.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

SCNADD : Scan ADD / DEL (MENU 24)

In MENU mode, select the item 24 (N); the SCNADD indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm it and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ADD or DEL.

ADD : the selected channel will be added to the scanning list; the Channel Scanning Icon (P) will appear on
the LCD display (6).
DEL : the selected channel will be removed from the scanning list; the Channel Scanning Icon (P) will
disappear from the LCD display (6).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Note : this function can be operate in CHANNEL MODE and CHANNEL-FREQUENCY mode only.

CHNAME : Edit Channel Name (MENU 25)

In MENU mode, select the item 25 (N); the CHNAME indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and to start the channel editing; the first digit (V) will start blinking.

To edit the channel name please proceed as follow :

1. Set the radio to CHANNEL MODE and select the desired channel number.

2. Select the Menu Item 25 and confirm by pressing the MENU key (7); the first digit will start

blinking on the LCD display (5).

3. Press the UP Key to select the desired letter/number of the blinking digit.

4. Press DOWN Key to move to the next digit. The channel name has 6 available digits.

5. Repeat the same procedure for all digits.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
Set the radio to NAME MODE to view the channel name.

1750Hz : 1750 Hz Tone Trasmitting Time (MENU 26)

In MENU mode, select the item 26 (N); the 1750HZ indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired 1750 tone
transmitting time (1000 - 2000 - 3000 - 4000 - 5000 ms) or OFF (function disabled).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Note: When the Transmitting Time function is enabled, press PTT Key (11) to transmit the 1750 Hz tone.

W/N : Width / Narrow Bandwidth (MENU 27)

In MENU mode, select the item 27 (N); the WN indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select NARR (Narrow Bandwidth) or

WIDE (Wide Bandwidth).

ARS : Auto Repeater Shift (MENU 28)

In MENU mode, select the item 28 (N); the ARS indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm it and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ON (function enabled) or OFF
(function disabled).

OFF : The OFFSET function will be set on every frequency.
ON : The OFFSET function can be set on operating frequency only.

When the user selects another frequency, the OFFSET function will be disabled.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

VOXDL : VOX Delay Timer (MENU 29)

In MENU mode, select the item 29 (N); the VOXDL indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5).
Press MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired delay time (0.3 -

0.5 - 1 - 1.5 - 2 and 3 seconds).
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

This function allows to delay the end of transmission in VOX mode.

TOA : TOT PRI-Alarm (MENU 30)

In MENU mode, select the item 30 (N); the TOA indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired TOA time from 1 to 10
seconds or OFF (function disabled) .
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.
When you set up the TOT PRI-Alarm time (1-10s), the radio can emit an alarm to remind that the TOT is
coming. Please refer to TOT function (MENU ITEM 02)

BCL : Busy Channel Lockout (MENU 31)

In MENU mode, select the item 31 (N); the BCL indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm it and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select ON (function enabled) or OFF
(function disabled).
This function prevents interferences of other incoming signals. If the selected channel is busy and the
BCL function has been enabled, the trasmission is disabled.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

DW : Dual Watch (MENU 32)

In MENU mode, select the item 32 (N); the DW indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select OFF, ON or AUTO options.

OFF : The frequency showing arrowhead is main frequency, the frequency without arrowhead is
secondary frequency. The main frequency can be used for transmitting and receiving, the secondary
frequency is used only for receiving. When secondary frequency receives an incoming signal, the S Icon
(C) will appear on the LCD (5).

ON : The frequency showing arrowhead is main frequency, the frequency without showing arrowhead is
secondary frequency. The main frequency can be used for transmitting and receiving. When the
secondary frequency receives an incoming signal, the arrowhead will move to secondary frequency, the
secondary frequency can be used for transmitting and receiving and it becomes the main frequency.
AUTO : The frequency showing arrowhead is main frequency, the frequency without showing arrowhead
is secondary frequency. The main frequency can be used for transmitting and receiving. When the
secondary frequency receives an incoming signal, the arrowhead will move to secondary frequency, the
secondary frequency can be used for transmitting and receiving.
When no more signal is detected on secondary frequency, after 5 seconds the arrowhead will return to
main frequency and the secondary frequency can not be used for transmitting.
Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

WARNING ! The Dual Watch options can be enabled in according to the REPEATER FUNCTION
settings. Please refer to REPEATER FUNCTION (MENU 33).

REP : Repeater Function (MENU 33)

In MENU mode, select the item 21 (N); the REP indication (W) will appear on the LCD display (5). Press
MENU key (7) to confirm it and press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select the desired option (A<->B, A-->B
or A<--B).

"A" : Upper line (W) Channel/Frequency
"B" : Lower line (V) Channel/Frequency
A<-->B : Radio can receive and transmit on both Channel/Frequency "A" and "B"
A-->B : Radio can transmit on Channel/Frequency "A" and receive on Channel/Frequency "B" only
A<--B : Radio can receive on Channel/Frequency "A" and transmit on Channel/Frequency "B" only

Press the MENU key (7) to confirm the operation then press the UP/DOWN keys (6) to select other
functions or press the FUN key (9) to return to standby status.

Reverse Frequency Function

Press the FUN key (9) and the # key to enable the Reverse Frequency function; the R icon (G) will appear
on the LCD display. The receiving and transmitting frequencies will be reversed on the used channel. This
function may operate only if the receiving and transmitting frequencies are different. Please refer to
OFFSET and RPTMOD functions (MENU ITEMS 20 and 21) at page 16.
Repeat the same procedure to return to normal condition; the R icon (G) will disappear from the LCD display.

Tone Squelch Function (CTCSS) / (DCS)

Any channel may be associated to a programmed private protection CTCSS/DCS tone. A CTCSS/DCS
tone is a sub audible tone which allows to cut off and therefore not to listen to signals transmitted from
other users on the same operating channel.
When you receive a signal which has a tone different from the one which has been programmed on
your radio, you will not listen to this signal. For the same reason, your outgoing messages can only be
received by other radios which have the same tone as yours on that channel.
When a channel is associated to a CTCSS or DCS tone, the icon CTS (D) or DCS (E) will appear on
the LCD display (5). Please refer to MENU 17, 18 and 19 at page 15-16.

Note : Even if the use of a CTCSS/DCS tone will protect you from receiving unwanted signals, the
privacy of your transmissions is not guaranteed.
Please refer to MENU ITEMS 17, 18 and 19 at pages 15-16.

FM Radio Mode - User Information

FM RADIO MODE OPERATION (87.5 - 108 MHz)

Press FUN key (9) and Lamp key (12) to enter the FM Radio Mode; the FM Icon (B) appears on the LCD
(5). The LCD display (5) will also show the RADIO indication in upline "A" (W) and the selected frequency in
downline "B" (V). To exit FM Radio Mode, press again FUN (9) and Lamp keys (12).

Tune FM Channels

In FM Radio mode, use the numeric keypad to select the desired frequency.
The default frequency step is 50 KHz and frequency range is 87.50 MHz -108.00MHz.

Scan FM Channels

In FM radio mode press the # key on the keypad to start scanning. Scan will automatically stop when a
radio station is detected. Press again the # key to re-start scanning function. Use the UP/DOWN keys (6) to
select the desired scanning direction.

FM Channel Storage

To store a desired radio channel, please proceed as follow :

1. Select the desired frequency.

2. Press the MENU key (7); the SAVE ? indication will appear on the LCD display (5) in upline "A" (W)

and the selected frequency in donwline "B" (V).

3. Press the desired numeric key (from 0 to 9) to store current channel (10 memory channels are

available).

Recover stored channels

To recall a stored channel, please proceed as follow :

1. Press the FUN key (9); the LOAD ? indication will appear on the LCD display (5) in upline "A" (W)

and the selected frequency in downline "B" (V).

2. Select the desired numeric key (8) to recall a stored channel.

Notes :

1. In FM Radio Mode, the transceiver can always receive an incoming NBFM signal in VHF or UHF band.

While receiving the VHF or UHF signal, radio reverts to TRANSCEIVER mode.
The FM Icon (B) will remain on the LCD display (5). Radio will return to FM Radio mode if no more
signal are detected or transmitted after 5 seconds. Please refer to FMR function at page 17.

2. The MONITOR function will not work in FM Radio mode.

User Information

in accordance with art. 13 of the Legislative Decree of 25th July 2005, no. 15 ”Implementation of Directives 2002/95/EC, 2002/96/EC and
2003/108/EC, relative to reduction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment, in addition to waste disposal”.

The crossed bin symbol shown on the equipment indicates that at the end of its working life the product must be collected
separately from other waste.
The user must therefore take the above equipment to the appropriate differentiated collection centres for electronic and
electro technical waste, or return it to the dealer when purchasing a new appliance of equivalent type, in a ratio of one to one.

Appropriate differentiated waste collection for subsequent recycling, treatment and environment-friendly disposal of the

etc.). Non utilizzare inoltre il ricetrasmettitore nelle aree di servizio o distributori di carburante.

Precauzioni

Si consiglia di osservare le seguenti precauzioni, al fine di evitare incendi, ferite personali e danni al
ricetrasmettitore:

Si suggerisce di trasmettere per alcuni minuti in quanto trasmissioni molto lunghe o alla massima
potenza del trasmettitore potrebbero surriscaldare lo stesso.

Non manomettere o modificare in alcun modo il ricetrasmettitore.

Non esporre il ricetrasmettitore per lungo tempo alla luce solare diretta e non porlo vicino a fonti
di calore.

Non porre il ricetrasmettitore in luoghi eccessivamente polverosi o umidi, inoltre non porlo su
superfici instabili.

Se sentite un odore anomalo o se vedete del fumo fuoriuscire dal ricetrasmettitore, spegnetelo
immediatamente e rimuovete il pacco batteria. Quindi contattate un centro di assistenza
autorizzato.

Non gettate batterie usate nella spazzatura. Utilizzate solo gli appositi contenitori per lo
smaltimento.

Disimballaggio e verifica delle parti

Disimballate accuratamente il ricetrasmettitore. Si raccomanda di identificare tutte le parti elencate nella
tabella seguente, prima di eliminare l’imballo. Se vi sono stati danni o mancanze durante la spedizione,
contattate immediatamente il vostro fornitore.

Ricarica della batteria

Collegare l’adattatore 230V alla presa posta sul retro del caricatore da
tavolo, come mostrato dal disegno. Collegare l' adattatore alla presa
230VAC. Il LED rosso inizierà a lampeggiare.

Inserire la batteria scarica o il ricetrasmettitore con la batteria installata nel
caricabatteria. Assicurarsi che i terminali della batteria siano a contatto
con quelli dei caricatore. Il LED rosso smetterà di lampeggiare e rimarrà
acceso, quindi l’apparecchio si predispone per iniziare la ricarica
automatica della batteria. Il tempo di ricarica dipende dallo stato di carica
e dalla capacità della batteria. Quando la ricarica è stata completata, il
LED di colore verde sarà acceso e il LED di colore rosso sarà spento. A
questo punto rimuovere la batteria o il ricetrasmettitore dal caricatore e
scollegare quest’ultimo dalla rete elettrica.

Avvertenze !

La batteria viene fornita scarica e deve essere quindi ricaricata prima dell’uso.

Sono necessari alcuni cicli completi di carica/scarica affinché la batteria raggiunga il massimo
livello di efficienza.

La batteria non deve essere ricaricata nuovamente se è già stata completamente caricata.
Diversamente, la vita della batteria può diminuire o la stessa essere danneggiata.

Il caricabatterie non si spegne automaticamente dopo la ricarica pertanto rimuovere la batteria o il
ricetrasmettitore dal caricatore e scollegare quest’ultimo dalla rete elettrica.

Non superare le 8 ore di ricarica, per evitare il danneggiamento della batteria.

Installare la batteria

Far coincidere le 3 guide della batteria con le 3 scanalature corrispondenti
poste alla base del ricetrasmettitore, come mostrato nel disegno (punto 1).

Spingere la batteria sul retro del ricetrasmettitore (punto 2) fino a quando
il blocco posto nella parte alta della radio si aggancia e blocca la batteria
(punto 3).

Rimuovere la batteria

Per rimuovere la batteria premere sul blocco posto nella parte alta della
radio (punto 1) ed estrarla dalla stessa come mostrato nel disegno
(punto 2).

Avvertenze !

Non disperdere batterie esaurite nell’ambiente e non gettarle tra i rifiuti ordinari. Utilizzate gli
appositi contenitori per la raccolta delle batterie usate o restituite le batterie da eliminare al vostro
fornitore.

Non tentare mai di rimuovere l’involucro della batteria.

Non cortocircuitare i teminali della batteria e non gettare quest' ultima nel fuoco.

Installare l' antenna

Collegare l' antenna in dotazione al connettore posto sul lato superiore
della radio, come mostrato nel disegno. Ruotarla delicatamente in senso
orario fino a stringerla.

Attenzione : non toccare l' antenna con le mani e non avvicinarla a cavi
microfonici durante la trasmissione in quanto ciò potrebbe causare danni
ricetrasmettitore.

Installare la clip da cintura

Se necessario, applicare la clip da cintura al
ricetrasmettitore, facendola scivolare nell’apposita
scanalatura posta sul retro della batteria fino a
quando il blocco metallico si aggancia (1). Per
rimuovere la clip premere sul blocco metallico e farla
scivolare via dalla batteria (2).

Installare un microfono esterno (opzionale)

Per poter installare il microfono esterno, occorre prima rimuovere la copertura fissata a protezione della
presa per microfono/altoparlante esterno (vedi disegni).

Inserire il connettore del microfono esterno nell’apposita presa, situata sulla parte destra della radio.

Per evitare malfunzionamenti o danni al ricetrasmettitore, utilizzare esclusivamente microfoni originali.
L’utilizzo di accessori diversi da quelli originali causa automaticamente la perdita del diritto alla
garanzia.

Attenzione :

Se si utilizza un microfono esterno, il ricetrasmettitore non è più a tenuta stagna.

FAMILIARIZZARE CON IL PRODOTTO

1. Antenna

Antenna in gomma con connettore SMA.

2. Interruttore ON-OFF / Comando di volume

Ruotare la manopola in senso orario per accendere il ricetrasmettitore e in senso antiorario per
spegnerlo. Ruotare la manopola in senso orario per aumentare il volume e in senso antiorario per
diminuirlo.

3. Indicatore LED RX/TX

Questo indicatore LED bi-colore rosso-verde è acceso in colore verde quando la radio è in
modalità ricezione e in colore rosso quando è in modalità trasmissione.

4. Altoparlante

Altoparlante entro contenuto.

5. Display LCD

Display LCD a matrice di punti, retroilluminato, consente la visualizzazione completa di tutte le
funzioni attivate e di tutte le informazioni impostabili dall' utente.

6. Tasti UP/DOWN

Tasti per la selezione dei canali/frequenze. Nelle operazioni del menu consentono la selezione
delle varie funzioni.

7. Tasto MENU / CONFERMA

PRemere questo tasto per entrare in Modalità MENU. Questo tasto è anche utilizzato per confermare
le funzioni e le opzioni richieste nella Modalità MENU.

8. Tastiera

Tastiera in gomma retroilluminata

9. Tasto FUN (Exit)

Questo tasto è utilizzato in combinazione con altri tasti per selezionare diverse funzioni. Esso è
anche utilizzato per uscire dalla Modalità MENU.

10. Microfono

Microfono entro contenuto.

11. Tasto PTT (Push-To-Talk)

Per effettuare una chiamata, premere e tenere premuto il tasto PTT (11), quindi parlare nel
microfono con un volume di voce normale. Rilasciare il tasto PTT (11) per ricevere.

12. Tasto LAMP / Tono di chiamata Call / RADIO FM

Premere questo tasto per attivare l' illuminazione del display LCD. Ripremere il tasto per
disattivarla.
Mantenere premuto il tasto LAMP (12) per trasmettere il tono di chiamata CALL.
Premere il tasto LAMP (12) seguito dal tasto FUN (9) per attivare la modalità Radio FM.

13. Tasto MONITOR

Premere questo tasto per aprire lo Squelch e ascoltare quindi il rumore di fondo. Rilasciare il
tasto Monitor (13) per richiudere lo Squelch e silenziare quindi la radio.

14. Copertura in gomma della presa Earset-mic

Coperchio di gomma che consente di coprire la presa per microfono esterno e quindi di rendere
la radio a tenuta stagna.

La radio dispone di un display LCD con visualizzazione a doppio canale / doppia frequenza. Questo
tasto è utilizzato per selezionare il canale/frequenza superiore "A" (W) o inferiore "B" (V) (vedi

L' icona a punta di freccia (R) indica il canale/frequenza superiore (W) o inferiore (V) selezionato.

A. Strumento a barre S-Meter

indica l' intensità del segnale in ricezione. In assenza di segnale, l' indicatore è spento.

B. Icona FM

Indica che il ricevitore è in modalità Radio FM.

Se la funzione Dual Watch è disattivata, l' icona S indica la frequenza di ricezione secondaria.
Fare riferimanto alla funzione Dual Watch (MENU 32) a pag. 41.

D. Icona CTS

L' icona CTS (D) è accesa quando è attiva la funzione CTCSS.

Se l' indicatore di carica (O) lampeggia, è necessario procedere alla ricarica della batteria.

P. Icona Scansione Automatica dei canali

Questa icona è accesa quando il canale selezionato è programmato nella lista di scansione. Fare
riferimento alla funzione SCNADD (MENU 24) a pag. 39.

Q. Icona SSSS

L' icona SSSS (Q) è accesa quando è attiva la funzione di risparmio energetico Power Save. Fare
riferimento alla funzione SAVE (MENU 15) a pag. 37.

R. Icona del Canale/Frequenza selezionato

Questa icona a punta di freccia, indica il canale/frequenza superiore "A" (W) o inferiore "B" (V)
selezionato. Fare riferimento alla descrizione del Tasto * (16) a pag. 29.

S. Indicazione decimali di frequenza (75-25)

Indicano i decimali in KHz della frequenza visualizzata.

T. Icona blocco tastiera (Key Lock)

L' icona (N) è accesa quando è inserito il blocco della tastiera.

U. Icona VOX

L' icona VOX (U) è accesa quando è attiva la funzione VOX (uso a mani libere).

V. Indicazione a matrice di punti inferiore ("B")

Indicazione del canale/frequenza e delle le funzioni impostate. La visualizzazione è del tipo a
matrice di punti.

W. Indicazione a matrice di punti superiore ("A")

Indicazione del canale/frequenza e delle le funzioni impostate. La visualizzazione è del tipo a

X. Strumento a barre RF Meter

Indica la potenza RF di uscita del trasmettitore.

Y. Icona H

L' icona H (Y) è accesa quando è selezionata l' alta potenza del trasmettitore.

OPERAZIONI DI BASE
Accensione

Accendere il ricetrasmettitore ruotando in senso orario la manopola ON/OFF-Volume (2) fino a quando
non si sente un click, il ricetrasmettitore è ora nella modalità stand-by.
La radio emetterà un beep e per un istante tutte le indicazioni del display saranno illuminate, a
conferma del corretto funzionamento della radio.

Regolazione del volume

Per regolare il volume, ruotare la manopola ON/OFF-Volume (2) mentre si utilizza il tasto Monitor (13)
per poter ascoltare il rumore di fondo dei canali.

Modalità Canale

Nelle modalità CANALE, premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare i canali o utilizzare la tastiera
numerica (8) per inserire direttamente il numero del canale (da 1 a 128).

Modalità Frequenza

Nella modalità FREQUENZA, premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la frequenza desiderata o
utilizzare la tastiera numerica (8) per inserire direttamente la frequenza. (NOTA : lo Step di frequenza di
default è di 12.5 KHz. Fare riferimento alla funzione STEP a pag. 38 per selezionare lo Step di
frequenza desiderato.

Trasmissione / Ricezione

Per effettuare una chiamata, premere il tasto PTT (11) e parlare con un volume di voce normale,
tenendo il microfono (10) a circa 4 cm dalla vostra bocca. L' indicatore LED (3) sarà acceso in colore
rosso. Rilasciare il tasto PTT (11) al termine della conversazione. Durante la ricezione di una
comunicazione, l' indicatore LED (3) sarà acceso in colore verde.
Se la funzione VOX è attivata, per trasmettere è sufficente parlare nel microfono (10). Terminata la
conversazione, la radio passerà automaticamente in ricezione.

Memorizzazione dei canali

Nella MODALITA' FREQUENZA, per memorizzare la frequenza visualizzata in un canale di memoria,
procedere come segue :

1. Premere il tasto FUN (9); l' indicazione FUNC (W) appare sul display LCD (5).

2. Premere il tasto MENU (7); l' indicazione SAVE (W) appare sul display LCD (5).

3. Utilizzare i tasti UP/DOWN (6) tper selezionare il numero del canale desiderato (V), da 1 a 128.

4. Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e memorizzare il canale.

Cancellazione dei canali

Per cancellare un canale, la radio deve trovarsi nella MODALITA' CANALE-FREQUENZA (CHFREQ).

1. Selezionare il canale di memoria da rimuovere e spegnere la radio.

2. Mantenere premuto il tasto * mentre si accende la radio. Il display LCD (5) visualizzerà l' indicazione DEL ?

(W) e il numero del canale selezionato (N).

3. Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare. Dopo questa operazione, la radio ritornerà nella MODALITA'

CANALE-FREQUENZA.

Operare con il Menu

Per entrare in MODALITA' MENU premere il tasto MENU (7). Utilizzare i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per
selezionare le varie funzioni del menu, visualizzate dall' indicatore numerico (N) (da 01 a 33) e premere
il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la funzione desiderata. Premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
il parametro desiderato e premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e tornare in MODALITA' MENU o
premere il tasto FUN (9) per confermare e tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Nota : La radio dispone di display con visualizzazione a doppio canale/frequenza su due linee. L'
utilizzatore può operare con 2 canali o frequenze separate (A e B). Le indicazioni A (W) e B (V)
possono visualizzare le differenti opzioni impostate con il menu; queste indicazioni vengono selezionate
premendo il tasto * (16).

SCAN : Modalità di scansione (MENU 01)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 01 (N); l' indicazione SCAN (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare i modi
CO, TO o SE.

CO : (Modalità Carrier Scan). La scansione si arresta automaticamente non appena viene rilevata una

comunicazione, per permetterne l' ascolto e riparte automaticamente al termine della stessa.

TO : (Modalità Time Scan). La scansione si arresta automaticamente non appena viene rilevata una

comunicazione, ma riparte automaticamente dopo 5 secondi.

SE : Non appena viene rilevata una comunicazione, la scansione si arresta definitivamente.

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Premere il tasto FUN (9) e il tasto 0 per attivare la scansione automatica. Premere il tasto FUN (9) per
disattivare la scansione automatica.

TOT : Time Out Timer (MENU 02)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 02 (N); l' indicazione TOT (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il tempo
desiderato da 30 a 240 secondi o selezionare OFF per disattivare la funzione TOT. Premere il tasto
MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare altre funzioni del
MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Questa funzione stabilisce il tempo massimo di trasmissione prima di ritornare automaticamente in
ricezione. La funzione TOT evita la trasmissione per un tempo illimitato, al fine di prevenire
surriscaldamento o danni del ricetrasmettitore. Dopo un tempo programmabile di 30-240 secondi di
trasmissione ininterrotta, il ricetrasmettitore interrompe automaticamente la trasmissione emettendo un
suono di avviso.

VOX : Uso a mani libere (MENU 03)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 03 (N); l' indicazione VOX (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare OFF
(funzione disattivata) o il livello di sensibilità desiderato da 1 (bassa sensibilità) a 9 (alta sensibilità). Se la
funzione VOX è attivata, l' icona VOX (U) compare sul display LCD (5).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
In modalità VOX, la trasmissione inizia automaticamente parlando nel microfono (10), non c'è bisogno
quindi di premere il tasto PTT (11).

ATTENZIONE ! Assicurarsi che la funzione ROGER BEEP sia disattivata prima di attivare la
funzione VOX !

CAL : Impostazione del tono di chiamata CALL (MENU 04)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 04 (N); l' indicazione CAL (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la
melodia desiderata (1, 2, 3, 4) o selezionare OFF per disattivare la funzione di chiamata CALL.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Mantenere premuto il tasto LAMP (12) to per trasmettere il tono di chiamata CALL.

ROG : Impostazione del tono Roger Beep (MENU 05)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 05 (N); l' indicazione ROG (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il tono
desiderato (1, 2 o 3) o selezionare OFF per disattivare la funzione Roger Beep.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Questa funzione permette di inviare automaticamente una nota musicale quando viene rilasciato il tasto
PTT (11). Questo avviso musicale conferma al vostro corrispondente che la vostra trasmissione è finita.

BEEP : Impostazione del tono di programmazione (MENU 06)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 06 (N); l' indicazione BEEP (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare ON (tono
beep attivato) o OFF (tono beep disattivato).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Questa funzione consente di attivare o disattivare il tono emesso ogni qualvota si interviene sui
comandi della radio.

KYLOCK : Impostazione del blocco di tastiera (MENU 07)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 07 (N); l' indicazione KYLOCK (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare i
modi MANU o AUTO.

MANU : La tastiera viene bloccata manualmente
AUTO : La tastiera verrà bloccata automaticamente dopo 15 secondi se nessun tasto viene premuto.

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Per bloccare manualmente la tastiera premere il tasto MENU (7) e il tasto *.
Mantenere premuto il tasto FUN (9) per 2 secondi per sbloccare la tastiera.

MEM-CH : Impostazione del canale di emergenza (MENU 08)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 08 (N); l' indicazione MEM-CH (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il
canale di emergenza desiderato (da 1 a 128).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Per richiamare il canane di emergenza pre-impostato, premere il tasto FUN (9) e il tasto *.

LED : Impostazione della retroilluminazione (MENU 09)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 09 (N); l' indicazione LED (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare i modi
AUT, ON o OFF.

AUT : La retroilluminazione del display LCD (5) verrà disattivata dopo 5 secondi se nessun tasto viene premuto.
ON : La retroilluminazione del display LCD (5) è sempre attivata.
OFF : La retroilluminazione del display LCD (5) è disattivata.

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

POW : Selezione della potenza RF del trasmettitore (MENU 10)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 10 (N); l' indicazione POW (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare i modi
HIGH o LOW.

HIGH : Alta potenza
LOW : Bassa potenza

Se viene selezionata l' alta potenza del trasmettitore, l' icona H (Y) compare sul display LCD (5).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

APO : Impostazione della funzione Auto Power OFF (MENU 11)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 11 (N); l' indicazione APO (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il tempo
di spegnimento desiderato della radio (10m, 30m, 1h o 2h) o OFF (funzione disattivata).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

CTSCAN : Scansione dei toni CTCSS (MENU 12)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 12 (N); le indicazioni CTSCAN (W) e CTCSS (V)
compariranno sul display LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per attivare la scansione automatica dei
toni CTCSS sul canale/frequenza in uso.
Premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la direzione della scansione.
Durante il processo di scansione, i numeri dei codici CTCSS verranno mostrati sul display LCD (5).
La scansione si arresterà automaticamente quando un tono CTCSS verrà rilevato. Premere il tasto
MENU (7) per associare il tono CTCSS rilevato al canale in uso e parlare con il vostro corrispondente.

DCSCAN : Scansione dei toni DCS (MENU 13)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 13 (N); le indicazioni DCSCAN (W) e DCS (V)
compariranno sul display LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per attivare la scansione automatica dei
toni DCS sul canale/frequenza in uso.
Premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la direzione della scansione.
Durante il processo di scansione, i numeri dei codici DCS verranno mostrati sul display LCD (5).
La scansione si arresterà automaticamente quando un tono DCS verrà rilevato. Premere il tasto MENU
(7) per associare il tono DCS rilevato al canale in uso e parlare con il vostro corrispondente.

SQL : Squelch Level (MENU 14)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 14 (N); l' indicazione SQL (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il livello
della soglia di squelch desiderato da 0 (Squelch aperto) a 9 (bassa sensibilità). Questa funzione
consente di silenziare il ricevitore ed eliminare quindi il rumore di fondo, quando nessun segnale viene
ricevuto. Se viene selezionato il livello 0, lo Squelch sarà aperto e sarà così possibile ascoltare il rumore
di fondo.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Nota : Per aprire temporaneamente lo squelch e poter così ascoltare il rumore di fondo, mantenere
premuto il tasto MONITOR (13).

SAVE : Power Save (MENU 15)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 15 (N); l' indicazione SAVE (W) comparirà sul display LCD

(funzione attivata) o OFF (funzione disattivata).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Questa funzione, se attivata, diminuisce il consumo della batteria quando non viene ricevuto alcun
segnale o quando non viene compiuta alcuna operazione (cioè non si premono tasti).

MODE : Modalità Frequenza / Canale / Canale-Frequenza / Nome (MENU 16)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 16 (N); l' indicazione NAME (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la
modalità desiderata (CH, MR, FREQ and NAME).
CH : MODALITA' CANALE. Il display LCD visualizzerà il numero del canale in uso su entrambe le

indicazioni alfanumeriche "A" (W) e "B" (V).

CHFREQ : MODALITA' CANALE-FREQUENZA. Il display LCD potrà visualizzare contemporaneamente,

sulle 2 indicazioni alfanumeriche "A" (W) e "B" (V), un canale e una frequenza.

FREQ : MODALITA' FREQUENZA. Il display LCD visualizzerà la lettura di frequenza su entrambe le

indicazioni alfanumeriche "A" (W) e "B" (V).

NAME : Modalità NOME. L' indicazione alfanumerica selezionata "A" (W) o "B" (V) visualizzerà il nome

del canale, se memorizzato tramite la funzione CHNAME (Vedi a pag. 39).

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e tornare in modalità Stand-by.

C : Impostazione della funzione CTCSS / DCS in Trasmissione e Ricezione (MENU 17)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 17 (N); l' indicazione C- (W) comparirà sul display LCD (5).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere il tasto * per passare dalla selezione dei toni
CTCSS (C-CTC) alla selezione dei toni DCS (C-DCS). Premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il
numero del tono CTCSS o DCS desiderato o selezionare OFF per disabilitare la funzione.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare

R : Impostazione della funzione CTCSS / DCS in Ricezione (MENU 18)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 18 (N); l' indicazione R- (W) comparirà sul display LCD (5).

OFFSET : Offeset della frequenza TX / RX (MENU 20)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 20 (N); l' indicazione OFFSET (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il
valore di OFFSET desiderato, da 00.000 a 69.9875 MHz, oppure digitare direttamente la frequenza di
Offset utilizzando la tastiera numerica (8).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
E' possibile ricevere e trasmettere su 2 differenti frequenze, attivando la funzione SHIFT di frequenza.
(Fare riferimento alla funzione RPTMOD).

Es. : Se si desidera ricevere sulla frequenza di 430.025 MHz e trasmettere sulla frequenza di 435.025
MHz, procedere come segue :

1. In MODALITA' FREQUENZA, impostare la frequenza a 430.025 MHz

2. Selezionare + (direzione SHIFT positiva) nella funzione RPTMOD (MENU 21)

3. Impostare la frequenza di OFFSET a 05.000 (5 MHz).

Nota : Questa funzione è utilizzabile solamente nella MODALITA' FREQUENZA.

RPTMOD : Deviazione della frequenza di trasmissione (SHIFT) (MENU 21)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 21 (N); l' indicazione RPTMOD (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la
modalità desiderata (Shift + o -) o OFF (funzione disattivata).

OFF : Function disattivata
+ : La frequenza di trasmissione sarà più alta di quella di ricezione (OFFSET positivo)

L' icona + (H) comparirà sul display LCD (5).

- : La frequenza di trasmissione sarà più bassa di quella di ricezione (OFFSET negativo)

L' icona - (H) comparirà sul display LCD (5).

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 22 (N); l' indicazione STEP (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare lo STEP
di frequenza desiderato (5 KHz - 6.25 KHz - 10 KHz - 12.5 KHz - 25 KHz - 50 KHz - 100 KHz).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

FMR : Monitor di segnale Radio FM (MENU 23)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 23 (N); l' indicazione FMR (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare ON
(funzione attivata) o OFF (funzione disattivata).
OFF : Nella modalità Radio FM, se un segnale NBFM viene ricevuto la radio non commuterà nella

normale modalità ricetrasmettitore .

ON : Nella modalità Radio FM, se un segnale NBFM viene ricevuto la radio commuterà nella normale

modalità ricetrasmettitore. Al termine delle comunicazione, se nessun altro segnale verrà
ricevuto, dopo 10 secondi, la radio commuterà automaticamente nella modalità Radio FM.

ADD : il canale selezionato verrà aggiunto alla lista di scansione; l' icona di scansione (P) comparirà sul

display LCD (5).
DEL : il canale selezionato verrà cancellato dalla lista di scansione; l' icona di scansione (P) scomparirà dal
display LCD (5).

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Nota : Questa funzione è utilizzabile solamente nelle MODALITA' CANALE o CANALE-FREQUENZA.

CHNAME : Assegnare il nome ad un canale (MENU 25)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 25 (N); l' indicazione CHNAME (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare ed inziare così l' inserimento del nome del canale; la
prima lettera del nome (V) inizierà a lampeggiare sul display LCD (5). E' possibile assegnare un numero
massimo di 6 lettere/numeri al nome del canale.
Per assegnare il nome ad un canale procedere come segue :

1. Impostare la radio in MODALITA' CANALE e selezionare il canale desiderato.

2. Entrare in modalità menu e selezionare la funzione 25. Confermare premendo il tasto MENU (7).

La 1° lettera del nome (V) inizierà a lampeggiare sul display LCD (5).

3. Premere il tasto UP (6) per selezionare la lettera o il numero desiderato.

4. Premere il tasto DOWN (6) per spostarsi sul carattere successivo.

5. Ripetere la stessa procedura per tutti i 6 caratteri disponibili.

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Per visualizzare i nomi dei canali, entrare in MODALITA' NOME.

1750Hz : Impostazione del tono 1750 Hz (MENU 26)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 26 (N); l' indicazione 1750HZ (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il
tempo di trasmissione del tono 1750 Hz desiderato (1000 - 2000 - 3000 - 4000 - 5000 ms) o OFF
(funzione disabilitata).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Nota : Se questa funzione è attivata, premendo il tasto PTT (11) viene trasmesso il tono a 1750 Hz.

W/N : Impostazione della canalizzazione Wide / Narrow (MENU 27)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 27 (N); l' indicazione WN (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare NARR
(canalizzazione stretta a 12.5 KHz) o WIDE (canalizzazione larga a 25 KHz).

(funzione attivata) o OFF (funzione disattivata).

OFF : La funzione OFFSET sarà attiva su tutte le frequenze.
ON : La funzione OFFSET sarà attiva solo sulla frequenza in uso.

Se l' utilizzatore seleziona una frequenza diversa, la funzione OFFSET verrà disattivata.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

VOXDL : Impostazione del tempo di ritardo della funzione VOX (MENU 29)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 29 (N); l' indicazione VOXDL (W) comparirà sul display
LCD (5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il
tempo di ritardo della funzione VOX (0.3 - 0.5 - 1 - 1.5 - 2 e 3 secondi).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Questa funzione consente di stabilire il tempo di ritardo di fine trasmissione della funzione VOX, prima di
tornare in modalità ricezione.

TOA : Funzione TOT PRI-Alarm (MENU 30)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 30 (N); l' indicazione TOA (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare il tempo
desiderato da 1 a 10 secondi, oppure selezionare OFF per disabilitare la funzione.
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Se la funzione TOT PRI-Alarm è impostata, la radio emetterà un suono di allarme, nel tempo stabilito,
per avvisare l' utilizzatore che la funzione Time-Out-Timer sta per essere attivata.
Fare riferimento alla funzione TOT (MENU 02) a pag. 34.

BCL : Busy Channel Lockout (MENU 31)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 31 (N); l' indicazione BCL (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare ON
(funzione attivata) o OFF (funzione disattivata).
Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.
Questa funzione impedisce interferenze su altri segnali in arrivo. Se la funzione BCL è attiva e il canale
selezionato è occupato da altre comunicazioni, la trasmissione è disattivata.

DW : Impostazione della funzione Dual Watch (MENU 32)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 32 (N); l' indicazione DW (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare le opzioni
OFF, ON o AUTO.

OFF : La frequenza indicata dall' icona a punta di freccia (R) è la frequenza primaria, la frequenza non
indicata dall' icona (R) è la frequenza secondaria. La frequenza primaria può essere utilizzata per
trasmettere e ricevere, la frequenza secondaria può solo ricevere. Se la frequenza secondaria rileva un
segnale, l' icona S (C) appare sul display LCD (5).
ON : La frequenza indicata dall' icona a punta di freccia (R) è la frequenza primaria, la frequenza non
indicata dall' icona (R) è la frequenza secondaria. La frequenza primaria può essere utilizzata per
trasmettere e ricevere. Se la frequenza secondaria rileva un segnale, l' icona (R) si sposterà sulla
frequenza secondaria, la quale diventerà la frequenza primaria e su cui sarà possibile trasmettere e
ricevere.
AUTO : La frequenza indicata dall' icona a punta di freccia (R) è la frequenza primaria, la frequenza non
indicata dall' icona (R) è la frequenza secondaria. La frequenza primaria può essere utilizzata per
trasmettere e ricevere. Se la frequenza secondaria rileva un segnale, l' icona (R) si sposterà sulla
frequenza secondaria, sulla quale sarà possibile trasmettere e ricevere. Se nessun' altra comunicazione
verrà rilevata sulla frequenza secondaria, dopo 5 secondi l' icona (R) tornerà sulla frequenza primaria e
la frequenza secondaria potrà essere utilizzata solo per ricevere.

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

ATTENZIONE ! Le opzioni delle funzione Dual Watch possono essere attivate solo se le impostazioni
della funzione REPEATER lo consentono. Fare riferimento alla funzione successiva (MENU 33).

REP : Impostazione della funzione Repeater (MENU 33)

Nella modalità MENU selezionare la funzione 33 (N); l' indicazione REP (W) comparirà sul display LCD
(5). Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare le opzioni
A<-->B, A-->B o A<--B.

"A" : Canale/frequenza superiore (W)
"B" : Canale/frequenza inferiore (V)
A<-->B : La radio può trasmettere e ricevere su entrambe le frequenze "A" e "B"
A-->B : La radio può trasmettere solo sulla frequenza "A" e ricevere solo sulla frequenza "B"
A<--B : La radio può ricevere solo sulla frequenza "A" e trasmettere solo sulla frequenza "B"

Premere il tasto MENU (7) per confermare la selezione e premere i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare
altre funzioni del MENU o premere il tasto FUN (9) per tornare in modalità Stand-by.

Funzione Reverse Frequency

Premere il tasto FUN (9) e il tasto # per attivare la funzione REVERSE FREQUENCY; l' icona R (G)
comparirà sul display LCD (5). Le frequenze di ricezione e di trasmissione verranno invertite sul canale in
uso. Questa funzione potrà operare solo se le frequenze di ricezione e trasmissione sono diverse.
Per ritornare alla condizione di uso normale, ripetere la procedura sopra descritta; l' icona R (G) scomparirà
dal display LCD (5). Fare riferimento alle funzioni OFFSET e RPTMOD (MENU 20 e 21) a pag. 38.

Funzione Tone Squelch (CTCSS) / (DCS)

Ogni canale può essere associato ad un tono di protezione CTCSS/DCS pre-programmato. Un tono
CTCSS/DCS è un tono non udibile che permette di escludere (e quindi di non ascoltare) comunicazioni
da altri ricetrasmettitori che stanno usando lo stesso canale.
Quando si riceve un segnale che ha un tono diverso da quello impostato sul vostro ricetrasmettitore,
non si sentirà. Allo stesso modo, i segnali che voi trasmettete potranno essere ascoltati solo dai
ricetrasmettitori che hanno il vostro stesso tono CTCSS/DCS.
Quando un canale è associato ad un tono CTCSS o DCS, le icone CTS (D) o DCS (E) appariranno sul
display LCD (5).
Per utilizzare la funzione CTCSS o DCS, fare riferimento ai MENU 17, 18 e 19 a pag. 37.

Nota : Anche se l’ utilizzo di un canale CTCSS/DCS vi permette di non ricevere segnali non desiderati,
ciò non significa che le vostre chiamate saranno private (riservate).

RADIO FM (87.5 - 108 MHz)

Premere il tasto FUN (9) e il tasto LAMP (12) per entrare in modalità Radio FM; l' icona FM (B) comparirà
sul display LCD (5). Il display LCD (5) visualizzerà anche le indicazioni RADIO (W) e la frequenza in uso
(V). Per uscire dalla modalità Radio FM premere il tasto FUN (9) e il tasto LAMP (12).

Sintonizzazione dei canali

In modalità Radio FM, utilizzare la tastiera numerica (8) per inserire la frequenza desiderata.
Lo Step di frequenza è di 50 KHz e il range è 87.50 MHz -108.00MHz.

Scansione dei canali FM

In modalità Radio FM, premere il tasto # per avviare la scansione automatica la quale si arresterà
automaticamente quando verrà rilevata una stazione radio. Premere di nuovo il tasto # per triattivare la
scansione. Utilizzare i tasti UP/DOWN (6) per selezionare la direzione della scansione.

Memorizzazione dei canali FM

Per memorizzare un canale Radio, procedere come segue :

1. Selezionare la frequenza desiderata.

2. Premere il tasto MENU (7); le indicazioni SAVE ? (W) e la frequenza selezionata (V) compariranno

sul display LCD (5).

3. Premere uno dei tasti numerici (da 0 a 9) per memorizzare il canale corrente (1sono disponibili 10

canali di memoria).

Richiamo dei canali memorizzati

Per richiamare un canale Radio memorizzato, procedere come segue :

1. Premere il tasto FUN (9); l' indicazione LOAD ? (W) e la frequenza selezionata (V) compariranno sul

display LCD (5).

2. Utilizzare la tastiera numerica (8) per richiamare uno dei 10 canali memorizzati.

Note :

1. Se la radio è in modalità Radio FM, il ricetrasmettitore può sempre ricevere una normale

comunicazione NBFM, durante la quale la radio passa automaticamente nella modalità
RICETRASMETTiTORE. L' icona FM (B) rimarrà visualizzata sul display LCD (5). Al termine della
comunicazione, la radio ritorna automaticamente nella modalità Radio FM se nessun altro segnale
viene ricevuto o se nessuna trasmissione viene fatta entro 5 secondi. Fare riferimento alla funzione
FMR a pag. 38.

2. Il comando MONITOR (13) non è operativo nella modalità Radio FM.
