COMMERCIAL DISPOSER OFFSET CHUTE (#14029)
INSTALLING OFFSET CHUTE
1. Install disposer legs (refer to Installation Instruction sheet
#117570).
2. Place mounting flange (1) up over existing sink bowl
connection lip. It may require a slight force fit.
3. Push mounting flange up out of the way and fit mounting
gasket (2) onto the sink bowl connection lip.
4. Move mounting flange down over the mounting gasket.
(Make sure the threaded fasteners in the mounting
flange fit into the recesses in the top of the mounting
gasket.)
5. Thread two screws in holes on opposite sides of the
mounting gasket and into the threaded fasteners on the
mounting flange. (The screws should protrude about 1/4
inch below the gasket.)
6. Insert rubber gasket (4) onto water inlet fitting (3) and
insert fitting through hole in sink bowl (from inside).
7. Place second rubber gasket (4), lockwasher (5) and lock
nut (6) onto water inlet fitting (3) on outside of sink bowl.
8. Position water inlet fitting at a 90° downward angle and
secure locknut (6) (see Figure 2).
9. Position the offset chute (10) beneath the mounting
gasket and engage the two protruding screws in the
offset chute keyhole slots. Thread the remaining screws
and tighten all screws evenly to secure the offset chute.
10. Place second mounting flange (11) up over offset chute
connection lip (may require slight force fit).
11. Push mounting flange up out of the way and fit second
mounting gasket (12) onto the offset chute connection
lip.

gasket. (Make sure the threaded fasteners in the
mounting flange fit into the recesses in the top of the
mounting gasket.)

14. Position the disposer body flange (13) beneath the
mounting gasket. Extend the adjustable disposer legs to
provide support.
NOTE: Disposers from 3 H. P. to 10 H.P. are equipped with
factory installed legs. Disposers from 1/2 H.P, to 2 H.P.
require two accessory legs.
15. Engage the two protruding screws in the disposer body
flange keyhole slots. Thread the remaining screws and
turn the disposer to the correct position to make
plumbing connections. Tighten all screws evenly to
secure the unit.
16. Insert 1/2" copper tubing through slip joint nut (9),
friction washer (8), and cone washer (7). Tapered end
of cone washer must face sink bowl. Hold copper tubing
to water inlet fitting (3) and slide assembled parts onto
water inlet fitting.
17. Secure copper tubing to water inlet fitting (3) by
tightening slip joint nut (9).
