Do not pinch or break copper tu bing. Do not distort t he

Unpack hot water tap components.

straighten the copper tubing.

Make sure that all electrical wiring and connec tions conform to local codes.
A standard, earth (grounded ) electrical outlet is required under the s ink for the tap’s electrical power.
The wall outlet powering your tap mu st have electrical power supplied to it cont inuously.
This outlet must be fused and sh ould not be controlled by the same wall switch t hat operates the food waste
disposer. Fuse/circuit brea ker required is 10 amp for 230 volt (10 amp for 220-240 volt U K) and 15 amp for 120 vol t.
To ensure proper operation, this unit is no t intended to be flushed with chlorine. If you su spect elevated levels
of chlorine in your water, it is recommended to use ou r water filtration system.
To prevent damage or unit not operating properly, the water press ure must be between 25 psi - 125 psi (172
kPa - 862 kPa; 1.7 bar - 8.6 bar ). Ambient (room) temper ature between 50ºF and 100 ºF (10ºC and 38ºC ).
Moving parts inside the tank causing a rat tling noise is normal.
If the supply cord is damaged, it mus t be replaced by the manufacturer, its serv ice agent or similarly qualified
persons in order to avoid a hazard .

Do not plug in the hot water tank until s tep 7B. To avoid permanent damage to the product, only operate the tank afte r it is filled with water.

Feed tu bes down through the hole
in the sink or countertop u ntil the base is at rest.
From und er the sink, place the
semi-circular mounting plate and hex nut onto the threaded stud. En sure tap head is at desired angle.
Insert screwdriver into hole on side of
hex tool (creating a “T” ), and use tool to tighten nut and secure ta p.
An assistant may be n eeded to hold
the tap in place while securing.

to cold water supply only.
Install a T-fitting (not included) onto the cold water supply line.
Install dedicated water control valve with 1/4" (6.35mm) compression fitting.
At the end of the white 1/4" (6.35mm) tube from the filter or quick-connector, slide the supplied brass nut and ferrule over the tube and then push in the brass tube insert.
Insert the white 1/4" tube into the 1/4" (6.35mm) compression fitting and tighten.

Electric Shock Hazard: To prevent electrical shock, disc onnect power before servicing unit. Use only a properly ear thed (grounded) and polarized el ectric outlet.
Scalding Hazard: Do not allow water to boil. May result in severe bur ns.
Only use mild cleaners to cl ean the tap
and plastic components.
Cleaners with acids, ab rasives, alkaline,
and organic solvents will r esult in deterioration of the plastic components and void the warranty.
CLEANING THE TAP AND TANK
Anytime the steaming hot wate r tap is not used for extended periods of time, unplug and dr ain unit. If it is below freezing you will need to unplug the uni t and drain it.
Disconnect power from unit (unplug unit).
Push hot water tap lever and allow water
to flow until it is cool.
Shut the cold water tap of f at the valve.
Disconnect tube s from the tank.
Unhook tank from wall.
Hold tank upside down and dra in the
water into the sink.
Towel dry any water drippings from
tank area.
Reinstall tank to wall and
reconnect tubes.
Remove and discard filte r cartridge,
if applicable.
To put back into working order, install
new filter cartridg e (if applicable) and turn on cold water supply at va lve. Depress the hot water disp enser faucet lever and hold until water flows f rom the spout. Reconnect the electrical cord.
Factory temperature pre-set is 200˚F (93˚C). To reset the
thermostat to 20 0°F (93°C), tur n the indicator one not ch to the right of vertical. Af ter adjusting,
depress the tap handle for 20 seconds for water to re-heat to the new setting.
To adjust water temperature, turn thermostat
dial on the front of the tank cl ockwise to increase temperatur e or turn anticlockwise to decrease temperature. Repeat if necessary. All chan ges should be minimal.
Replace filter cartridge w hen there is an obvious decrease in water flow to the tap o r if there is an objectionable taste or odor to the water. When the inlet and outlet por ts have been closed and the filter’s internal pressure h as been relieved, water (about 2oz; 60ml ) will discharge from vent line. If the new filter cartridge c annot be inserted, insert the old one and turn until i t stops, remove it and then retry the new car tridge. The disposable filter car tridge MUST be replaced every 6 months, at the rated ca pacity or sooner if a noticeable reduction in flow ra te occurs.
FILTER GUIDE AND REPLACEMENT
Filter replacement instructions:

Place pan or dish towel under the filter to
catch water drainage during change.
Slowly turn the cartridg e anticlockwise
completely until it stops (1/4 tur n).
Pull cartridge straight down and discard.
Insert new cartri dge into filter head.
Top surface of cartridge will beco me
flush with the bottom of the f ilter head when fully engaged.
Turn the cartridge clockw ise until it stops
(1/4 turn).
Open tap to expel trapped air.
Run water for 3 minutes before usage.

• If the water discoloration remains aft er draining and refilling unit, discontinue use a nd contact an authorized InSinkErator service agent.

CONNECTING TAP TO TANK
MOUNTING THE TANK
Sele ct a spot under the sink to mount
tank vertically with in reach of both plumbing and electrical connections. The tank should be within 16" (40 0mm) or less of tap water lines and wi thin 30" (760mm) or less of a sta ndard earth (grounded) outlet.
While holding tank in place on the spot
selected for install ation, use a pencil to mark locations for 2 han ging screws.

less of a standard ear th (grounded) out let. DO NOT
extend plumbing or electri cal lines.
Without depressing the grey button,
place the snap-connect fitting at the end of the blue tube onto the left plastic fitting on the t ank, pushing until it clicks into place. (1)
Slip the large white tube over
barbed middle fitti ng and slide down approximately 1/2" (13mm) . (2)
Slip the sm all white tube over the
far right smooth fitti ng and slide down approximately 1/2" (13mm) . (3)
Visu ally check for pinched or
crimped tubes.
Hose clamps are not needed for any of t he connections.
Tank must be mounted level
to ensure
proper operation.
Leave 1/4" (6.4mm) for hanging tank.

Personal Injury: Do not locate filter above an
outlet or other electrical device. Install head and bracket
so that connections require no stretching, kinking or
pinching of tubing.
Separate cartridge from filter head. Mark hole locations for filter head
and bracket in a spot that allows for filter replacement.
Drill 1/8" (3mm) starter holes and attach bracket to wall with wood screws, turning until snug.
Insert cartridge into filter head. Top surface of cartridge will become flush with bottom of filter head when fully engaged.
Screws provided are for use in wood studs or cabinets only. Use wall anchors (not included) for installation into drywall.
Property Damage: Tube runs need to form to the
cabinet’s contours to allow storage space with no sharp
bends. Tubes need clean, perpendicular,
burr-free cuts to ensure a true fit.
Determine length of tubing required,
then cut to length making sure the cut is perpendicular and burr-free.
Insert a white 1/4" (6.35mm) tube into
inlet side of filter head until it stops.
Press in again to ensure a secure fit.
Insert the other white 1/4" (6.35mm) tube
into outlet side of filter head until it stops.
Press in again to ensure a secure fit.
Property Damage: Do not extend the lines farther than the 16" (40cm) provided. Ensure tube(s) and
“Y” connnector are securely fit.
Insert the copper tubes(s) from the
dispenser into “Y” quick-connector using the plug for hot-only models.
Connect the white 1/4" (6.35mm) tube
from the right outlet on the filter head into the quick-connect fitting until it stops.
Press in again to ensure a secure fit.
To remove tube(s) or plug from quick-connector, depress the release ring and gently pull away.
It is normal for approximately 2 oz. (60ml). of water
to discharge when filter is removed.
Connect remaining white 1/4"
(6.35mm) tube to incoming water supply line.
Scalding Hazard: The faucet dispenses near-boiling
(210ºF; 98ºC) water which can instantly cause scalds or
burns. Use care when operating this appliance.
Turn on the water supply. Depress the dispenser’s HOT handle
and hold it until water flows from the spout (approximately 1 to 2 minutes).
For the F-1000S and F-1000, flush
2.25 gallons (8.5L) through filter before use (approximately 3 minutes). For the F-2000S and F-2000, flush 3 gallons (11.4L) through filter before use (approximately 4 minutes).
Check all connections to ensure they are tight and that there are no leaks.

TROUBLESHOOTING
WHAT TO DO
Water and steam spits forcefully from spout without turning on the tap.
• Unit is boiling.
May be normal during initial set-up.
• Depress tap lever to rele ase some water from the ta nk.
• Adjust water tempera ture using dial on tank front .
Remember that at higher altitudes, water boils at lower temperatures.
Water is not hot. • The unit may not be plugged in.
• The electric outlet is in operative.
• Make sure the unit is conne cted to a properly eart hed
(grounded) electric outlet.
• Make sure the circuit brea ker or fuses are
functioning properly.
• Check that the outlet is no t switched off.
Water is too hot or not hot enough.
• Thermostat is not ad justed to your needs.
• Adjust the thermostat slowly, then depress or twist tap handle for 20 seconds to bri ng in fresh water to be heated at the new setting. Allo w 5-7 minutes for water to reach new temperature.
Water comes out of vent instead of spout
• Outlet tube is blocked. • Check that outlet tub e is not kinked, twisted or pin ched.
• Unscrew spout end piec e and clean out any debris.
Water is dripping from the spout/vent intermittently.
• The expansion chamber is n ot draining properly due to low water pressure.
• The spout is blocked.
• Unplug the unit. If the dr ipping does not stop afte r a few minutes, check the supply val ve to ensure it is fully open and there are no obstruc tions in the water line reducing the pressure below 25 psi (172 k Pa; 1.7 bar). i.e., a poorly
mounted saddle valve, a clogged water filter, or a partially opened shut-off valve.
• Unscrew spout end piec e and clean out any debris.
Water is dripping from the spout/ve nt constantly.
• Debris in the water line may be in the tap valve seat causing a slow water leak.
• Unscrew spout end piec e and clean out any debris.
• Depress or twist leve r 7-10 times to flush tap & lines.
Divided stream.
• Debris in the end piece. • Unscrew spout end piec e and clean out any debris.
PROBLEM POSSIBLE CAUSE
LED green light on front of tank does not illuminate. (H1300 model only)
• The unit may not be plugged in.
• The electric outlet is in operative.
• Make sure that the circui t breaker or fuses are functioning properly.
• Check that the outlet is no t switched off.
Water discoloration/ rusty appearance.
• Corrosion of unit. • Unplug and drain as descr ibed in the Seasonal Sto rage/ Drainage Section on pag e 5 of this manual. If the water discoloration remains after draining and refilling unit, discontinue use and cont act an authorized InSink Erator service agent.
FILTRATION ISSUES
Water taste or odor.
New filter does not fit.
The filter leaks.
No water flow or low water flow.
• Filter water flow direc tion is wrong.
• Filter needs to be flushed out.
• Life of filter has expired.
• Head and bracket not fully ro tated.
• Filter O-ring breach.
• Head and bracket not fully ro tated.

• If there is no change, replace filter cartridge.
• Take out the new filter, put in old filter.

InSinkErator warr ants to Customer that y our InSinkErator Pro duct will be free fro m defects in materia ls and workmanship, subject to the exclusi ons described be low, for the “Warranty Period”, commencing on the late r of: (a) the date your InSinkErator Prod uct is originally in stalled, (b) the d ate of purchase, or (c ) the date of manufact ure as identified by yo ur InSinkErator Prod uct serial number. You will be r equired to show writ ten documentatio n supporting (a ) or (b). If you are unable to provide doc umentation suppo rting either (a ) or (b), the Warra nty Period comme ncement date will be de termined by Manufacturer, in its s ole and absolute dis cretion, based upo n your InSinkErator Pr oduct serial numb er. System Requirements (Hot Water Tank, Filtration System and Dispenser):
• The flexible ve nt and outlet tubes must be correc tly connected to the tap supplied by the manufacturer. They must not be obs tructed or connected to a norm al type tap or any other type.
• Do not ins tall on hot water supply lines. The ma ximum operating water temperature of this system is 100°F (37.8°C) . Attach to cold water supply onl y.
• Do not ins tall if water pressure exceeds 125 psi (8 62 kPa). If your wa ter pressure exceeds 80 psi (552 kPa ), you must install a pressu re limiting valve. Contact a plumbing professional if you are unce rtain how to check your water press ure.
• Do not ins tall where water hammer conditions may oc cur. If water hammer conditions exist you must install a water hammer ar rester. Contact a plumbing professi onal if you are uncertain how to check for t his condition.
• Where a bac kflow prevention device is inst alled on a water system, a device for controlling pressure due to ther mal expansion must be installed.
• Protec t from freezing, shut off water su pply, remove filter cartridge, drain hot wa ter tank and tubing when temperature s are expected to drop below 40° F ( 4.4° C); see Seasonal Storage/Dra inage section.
• Do not use a t orch or other high temperature sourc es near system, cartridges , plastic fittings or plastic plumbing.
• Do not ins tall near water pipes which will be in path of a dr illing tool when selecting the position to mount the bracke t.
• Mount sy stem in such a position as to prevent it fr om being struck by other items used in the area of installation.
• Ensure th at the location and fastener s will support the weight of the syst em when installed and full of water.
• Ensure all t ubing and fittings are secure and f ree of leaks.
• Do not ins tall using rigid piping. System intended f or use with plastic water lines ( such as PEX tubing, PE tubing, PP tubing).
• Do not ins tall this system if any of the quick connec t collets are missing from the filte r head or Y-Quick Connector. Contac t an authorized InSinkErato r Service agent if collets are missing from any fittings .
• For sys tems using two handle HC model faucet s, operate only one handle at a time.
• Impor tant: Do not allow the unit to co ntinuously boil.
• Regularl y inspect the system. If there are si gns of water leakage, turn off the w ater supply and contact an author ized InSinkErator Serv ice agent.
• A drain pan, p lumbed to an appropriate drain or out fitted with a leak detec tor, should be used in those applications whe re any leakage could cause proper ty damage.

Additional Consideration when Utilizing Filtration System:
• The dispo sable filter cartridge MU ST be replaced every 6 months, a t the rated capacity or sooner if a noticeable reduct ion in flow rate occurs.
• Failure to r eplace the disposable filter car tridge at recommended interval s may lead to reduced filter performance and cracks in the filter housing, causing water leakage or flooding.
• Protec t from freezing, remove filter car tridge when temperatures are expec ted to drop below 40° F (4.4° C).
• Do not ins tall systems in areas where ambient temp eratures may go above 100°F (37.8°C).
• Do not ins tall in direct sunlight or outdoors .

A steaming hot water tap, like any water hea ter, has a limited life and will eventually fail. To avoid possible proper ty damage and personal injury, this steami ng hot water tap should be regularly examined fo r leakage and/or corrosio n and replaced when necessar y. Pase los tubos a través d el orificio del
fregadero o del mes ado hasta que la base quede apoyada.
Por debajo del fregadero, coloque la placa
de montaje semicir cular y la tuerca hexagonal sobre el perno rosc ado. Cerciórese de que la cabeza del dispe nsador está en el ángulo deseado.
Introduzca el des tornillador en el orific io del
lado de la llave hexagonal (formando una “T”) y use dicha llave para aju star la tuerca y fijar el dispensador.
Puede ser necesa ria la ayuda de un asis tente para suje tar
el dispensador en e l lugar mientras l o asegura.
