Grounding or polarization
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type
plug. A polarized plug has two blades with one wider than the other. A
grounding type plug has two blades and a grounding prong. The wide
blade or grounding prong are provided for your safety. If the plug
does not fit, contact an electrician to replace the obsolete outlet.
Placement
When placing your clock radio on a lacquered or natural finish
surface, protect your furniture with a cloth or other protective material.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight, temperature extremes, and

Installing batteries
To install batteries:
1 Make sure that the power cord is unplugged.
2 Remove the battery compartment cover.
3 Insert two AAA batteries (not included) into the battery
compartment. Make sure that you align the + and - symbols on the
batteries with the + and - symbols inside the battery compartment.
4 Replace the battery compartment cover.
Warning: Danger of explosion if batteries are incorrectly installed. Replace with the same or equivalent type. The button
cell battery contains mercury. Do not put the battery in the garbage. Recycle or dispose of as a hazardous waste.
Connecting an iPod
You can connect an iPod (not included) to your clock radio so you can
listen to the songs stored on your iPod.
To connect an iPod:
1 Make sure your clock radio is turned off.

Using your clock radio
Turning your clock radio on and off
To turn your clock radio on and off:

Listening to the iPod shuffle
To listen to the iPod shuffle:
1 Make sure that your clock radio is turned off.
2 Connect the line-in cable on the iPod shuffle to the AUX IN jack on
your clock radio.
3 Slide the Buzzer/Radio/iPod/Aux switch to iPod/Aux.
4 Use the controls on the iPod shuffle to control playback.
5 If necessary, turn the volume dial to adjust the volume.
Listening to all other iPods
To listen to the iPod:
1 Make sure that your clock radio is turned off, then insert the iPod
into the slot.
2 Turn on your clock radio.
3 Press the button on your clock radio or remote control.

90-Day Limited Warranty
Insignia Products (“Insignia”) warrants to you, the original purchaser of this new
NS-C2000 (“Product”), that the Product shall be free of defects in the original
manufacture of the material or workmanship for a period of 90 days from the date of
your purchase of the Product (“Warranty Period”). This Product must be purchased
from an authorized dealer of Insignia brand products and packaged with this warranty
statement. This warranty does not cover refurbished Product. If you notify Insignia
during the Warranty Period of a defect covered by this warranty that requires service,
terms of this warranty apply.
How long does the coverage last?
The Warranty Period lasts for 90 days from the date you purchased the Product. The
purchase date is printed on the receipt you received with the Product.
What does this warranty cover?
During the Warranty Period, if the original manufacture of the material or workmanship
of the Product is determined to be defective by an authorized Insignia repair center or
store personnel, Insignia will (at its sole option): (1) repair the Product with new or
rebuilt parts; or (2) replace the Product at no charge with new or rebuilt comparable
products or parts. Products and parts replaced under this warranty become the
property of Insignia and are not returned to you. If service of Products or parts are
required after the Warranty Period expires, you must pay all labor and parts charges.
This warranty lasts as long as you own your Insignia Product during the Warranty
Period. Warranty coverage terminates if you sell or otherwise transfer the Product.
How to obtain warranty service?
If you purchased the Product at a retail store location, take your original receipt and the
Product to the store you purchased it from. Make sure that you place the Product in its
original packaging or packaging that provides the same amount of protection as the
original packaging. If you purchased the Product from an online web site, mail your
original receipt and the Product to the address listed on the web site. Make sure that
you put the Product in its original packaging or packaging that provides the same
