SAFEGUARDS
When using electrical appliances, basic safety
precautions should always be followed including
the following:
• Read all instructions carefully before you use the
appliance.
• Make sure your electricity supply is the same as
the one shown on the rating label.
• To protect against risk of electrical shock, do not
put the blender base in water or other liquid.
• This appliance should not be used by children and
close supervision should be taken when used
near children.
• Unplug from the electrical outlet when it is not in
use, before putting on or taking o parts, and
before cleaning.
• Avoid contacting moving parts.
• Keep hands, hair, clothing, as well as spatulas and
other utensils away from beaters during operation
to reduce the risk of injury to persons, and/or
damage to the mixer. A scraper may be used but
only when the blender is not running.
• Never add to the blender jar while the blender is
operating.
• Check the ller cap for the presence of foreign
objects before using.
• Do not operate the appliance with a damaged
cord or plug or after the appliance malfunctions,
or is dropped or damaged. Return the appliance
to the nearest authorized service facility for
examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical
adjustment.
• The use of attachments is not recommended by
the manufacturer and may cause a risk of
personal injury.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let the cord hang over edge of a table or
counter.
• Never let the cord touch hot surfaces, including the
stove, or hang down where a child could grab it.
• Blades are sharp, handle carefully.
• To reduce the risk of injury, never place the blade
assembly on the base without the jar properly
attached.
• Always operate the blender with the cover in place.
• Make sure that ngers are kept well away from the
blades when in use.
• Do not blend hot ingredients.
• Always operate on a at surface.
• Make sure that the control dial is in the o ‘0’
position before plugging into the power outlet.
• Do not operate for more than one minute at a time.
• Always turn the power o before you insert or
remove a plug. Remove by grasping the plug. Do
not pull on the cord.
• Do not use an appliance for any purpose other than
its intended use.
• Do not place an appliance on or near a hot gas
ame, electric element, or on a heated oven. Do not
place on top of any other appliance.
• Do not let the power cord of an appliance hang
over the edge of a table or bench top or touch any
hot surface.
• Never touch the blades while the machine is
plugged in.
• Take special care when emptying and cleaning the
blender jar, as the blades are extremely sharp.
• The blender jar must be properly in place before
operating the blender.
• This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is
wider than other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug will t in a polarized outlet only one way. If
the plug does not t fully in the outlet, reverse the
plug. If it still does not t contact a qualied
electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

Note: Before using your blender for the rst time, wash all
parts and dry thoroughly. Do not immerse the base in water.
USING YOUR BLENDER
1 Place the base on the table, with the control knob
facing toward you.
2 Place the blender jar onto the base, then turn the
blender jar to the right until it clicks into place. The
arrows on the blender jar should be aligned with
the lock mark on the base to make sure the jar is
locked into place.
Note: Your blender will not work unless the blender jar is
locked into place.

3 Remove the lid or the ller cap from the blender jar
and place ingredients into the jar. Do not exceed
the maximum indicated level (1.5 liters).
Before using your new product, please read
these instructions to prevent any damage.
4 Mount the measuring cup onto the lid, then secure
the lid onto blender jar.
5 Plug the power cord into a wall outlet.
6 Use the control knob to select desired blending
speed (1, 2, 3) or use the PULSE button.

Tips:
• Press and hold the PULSE button for shot bursts
of power while blending.
• Settings 1, 2, and 3 will provide continuous
blending.

SUGGESTED PROCESSING
PROCEDURE:
Use chilled milk with frozen
yogurt or ice cream. Blend
to the desired consistency.
Add 1/4 cup of water.
Use any setting or the
PULSE button 3-4 times in
succession for crushed ice.
Blend until smooth.
TIPS
• Food items for blending should be cut into 1"
(2-3 cm) cubes.
• Never ll the blender jar above the maximum level.
• To ensure ecient mixing when blending dry
mixtures, stop the blender and push ingredients
down the sides of the jar with a spatula.
• When pureeing fruits or vegetables (cooked or raw)
cut them into small pieces before blending.
• When blending a variety of ingredients together,
blend the liquids rst, then add dry ingredients.
• Always make sure that pits are removed from fruit
and bones from meat as these can harm the blades.
• Do not process hot liquids in your blender. Allow
them to cool before processing.
• When blending warm liquids, remove the ller cap
from the lid.
CARE AND CLEANING
Quick cleaning method:
1 Fill the blender half full with warm water and add a
small amount of detergent.
2 Press the Pulse button and hold for 1-2 seconds,
then release. Repeat 3-4 times.
3 Remove the jar and rinse it under running water.
For thorough cleaning:
• Wash the blender lid, ller cap and blender jar in
warm soapy water.
Caution: Take care when cleaning the blades as they are
extremely sharp.
Note: Do not clean any part of the blender in the dishwasher.
To clean the base:
• Use a damp, soft sponge with detergent and wipe
over the base.
Note: Never immerse the base in water.
Storage:
1 Coil the power cord around the cord storage at the
bottom of the base.
