Setting Up Your Jetpack

Installing 4G LTE SIM Card*

CAUTION: Do not bend or scratch your SIM Card. Avoid exposing your SIM Card to static electricity, water or dirt.

1. Open t he cover locat ed on the

unde rside of the Mi Fi 5510L Jetpack device.

2. Remove SIM Card from the o uter card ,

lift t he microSIM ta b, and inser t the SIM Card as shown below.

*Your SIM (Subscriber Identity Module) Card is a small rectangular plastic card that stores your phone number and important information about your wireless service.

NOTE: In the event you need to remove your SIM Card from your Jetpack, please reference the Device Manual at

verizonwireless.com/support.

Installing/Charging Battery

1. Remove t he back cover t o open the

bat tery comp artmen t. Align the goldcolored contacts.

2. Replace the bac k cover and con nect

the ch arger to the Jetpac k device. Char ge for a minimu m of 3.5 hour s.

Passwords

Your default Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password can be found on the Jetpack display upon powering up.

You can access your Wi-Fi Name (SSID) and Wi-Fi Password using the following steps.

1. Power o n your Jetpac k.

2. Select Menu and scroll to the Wi-Fi

icon.

3. Select Open to display t he Wi-Fi

Name/Password.

System Requirements

To use Wi-Fi mode, you r computer needs Wi-Fi capability a nd Interne t browser software only.

• Compatible with all major operating systems.

• Works with the latest versions of browsers, including Android™, Chrome™, Firefox®, Internet Explorer®, Safari™ and Mobile Safari™.

Connecting to the Internet

1. Turn on your Jetpack using t he power

button and holding for two seconds. The Jetpack display w ill light up.

2. Open t he Wi-Fi applicatio n or control s

on the computer or Wi-Fi ena bled device that you want to c onnect to your Jetpack and ﬁnd the Jetpack’s Wi-Fi Name (SSID).

3. When p rompted, e nter your Wi-Fi

Password. The Jetpack screen should now sho w an addition al connec ted device. Your Wi-Fi enabled d evice is now con nected to t he Interne t.

Resetting Your Jetpack

To restore your Jetpack to the factory settings, follow the steps below.

1. Verify that your Jetpack is powered

on, an d ﬁnd the mas ter RESET bu tton locat ed under the b ack cover slig htly above a nd to the rig ht of the bat tery removal divot.

2. Place o ne end of an unfolded paper

clip into the master reset button a nd press down until the Jetpack screen shows “resettin g to factor y defaults .” This w ill take approximatel y ﬁve seconds.

Web User Interface

To access advanced Jetpack settings you can log i nto the Web Use r Interface by follow ing the steps below.

1. Connect you r Wi-Fi enabled device to

the Veri zon Jetpack using th e steps outlined in the Conn ecting to the Internet section.

2. Open yo ur web brows er and

enter http://my.jetpack or

http://192.168.1.1.

3. Login using th e Jetpack Admin PW

which c an be found using the f ollowing steps:

1. Power o n your Jetpac k.

2. Select Menu and scroll to the

About Jetpack icon.

3. Select Open > Mor e > More to

displa y the Jetpac k Admin PW.

Monitoring Data Usage

You can monitor your Jetpack data us age and setup usage aler ts through your M y Verizon accoun t. You can al so see curre nt data us age details on your Jet pack by scroll ing to View Usage on the Home scree n and pressin g the select b utton .
