If you sell or pass the appliance to someone else, or move house and leave it behind, make sure this Book is also provided so the new owner can become familiar with the appliance and safety warnings.

IMPORTANT

Using your Tumble Dryer is easy.

Nevertheless, for your own safety and to get the best results it is important to know your Dryer by reading right through this handbook before using your dryer for the first time.

NEVER ● Allow children to play with or otherwise interfere with the dryer. NEVER ● Allow the air inlet at the back of the dryer, the air outlet or vent hose

to be obstructed.

NEVER ● Direct the vent hose outlet towards the air intake at the back of the

machine.

NEVER ● Allow the tumble dryer to recycle exhaust air. NEVER ● Switch the machine off leaving a hot load in the drum. NEVER ● Tumble dry without the filter in position. NEVER ● Exceed the maximum load capacity recommended or place

dripping wet items in the drum.

NEVER ● Use the dryer on a carpeted floor where the pile height would

prevent air from entering the dryer from the base.

NEVER ● Allow lint to collect around the dryer. NEVER ● Add liquid fabric conditioner to the dryer, use liquid conditioner in the

final rinse of your wash.

NEVER ● Use the dryer for commercial drying, the dryer is only suitable for

domestic use.

NEVER ● Dry Acrylics on the high heat setting. NEVER ● Tumble articles that have NOT been well washed in water and

detergent then well rinsed and spun.

NEVER ● Tumble dry articles that have had chemicals used for cleaning. NEVER ● Dry articles that are contaminated with flammable substances such

as: petrol, oil, paint, hair lacquer, creams, cooking fat or oil.

In particular woollen articles should not be dried in a tumble dryer unless they are labelled ‘Superwash’,

‘Machine washable’ or have the ‘May be tumble dried’ symbol: If in any doubt do not dry wool in the machine. Unlike other materials, the mechanism of wool shrinkage is irreversible, i.e. it will not stretch back to the original size and shape.

CAUTION: When the dryer is in use avoid touching the rear of the dryer as it may be hot!

Electrical Requirements

WARNING:This appliance must be earthed!

REFER TO THE RATING PLATE FOR VOLTAGE AND CURRENT REQUIREMENTS. (See diagram for location.)

The dryer should be connected to the mains supply via a suitable socket which is accessible after installing your dryer. The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the following: GREEN/YELLOW - EARTH BLUE - NEUTRAL BROWN - LIVE If a replacement plug is to be fitted, the appropriate wire must be connected to the correct terminal,the cut-off plug must be disposed of safely. DO NOT leave where it can be inserted into a socket and create a shock hazard.

Changing the mains cable

Should the mains lead ever require replacing at any time please contact your nearest Service Centre. A charge will be made for the replacement of the mains lead or if you require a longer lead.

The mains lead must only be replaced by a specially prepared cable obtainable from your Spares Stockist and fitted by a qualified electrician.

Door Reversal Instructions

The door of your Dryer is reversible and can easily be changed. Exchange diagonally hinge brackets and blanking plugs. Exchange door latch and catch with their opposite blanking plates. See diagram above.

Fitting the Vent Hose Kit

Your Tumble Dryer should NOT be located adjacent to a gas hob cooker, heater, or eye level grill as flames from the burners could cause damage to your machine. When the dryer is fitted under a work surface allow space for air to enter the rear grille, 10mm above the dryer minimum.

DO NOT use 2-way adaptors or extension leads.

The Dryer dries your washing by drawing in air that is cool, clean and relatively dry, heating it and then blowing it through the clothes as they are gently tumbled.The moisture laden air is then blown out at the back of the dryer through the vent hose which is recommended for optimum performance. When operating the dryer, there has to be adequate ventilation to avoid the back flow of gases into the room from appliances burning other fuels, including open fires.

A vent hose must always be fitted when the dryer is used in conjunction with Mobile Venting. The hose must be fitted securely into the back of the dryer (see diagram on previous page). If possible, it is always best to connect the hose to a permanent outlet close to the dryer (see instructions below).

Ensure that the end of the hose is not directed towards the air intake grille at the rear of the dryer.

If permanent installation is not possible, the dryer will work just as well with the hose passed through a partly-opened window.

NOTE: The vent hose should not exceed 2.4 metres in length and should be kept free of any possible accumulation of fluff, lint (and water) by frequently shaking it out. Always ensure that the hose is not squashed.

In conjunction with the vent hose we recommend the use of a Wall/Window Vent Kit. These are available from your retailer or nearest Spares Centre.

Fitting instructions are supplied with the kits, which can be mounted through a wall or window. Details of positioning for wall mounting are as follows:- Break a hole through the wall to the left of the proposed position for the dryer. Keep the hose as short and straight as possible to prevent condensed moisture running back into the dryer. Similarly the duct inserted into the wall should slope downwards to the outside. For window venting with stacked dryer, the hole in the window should ideally be made below the outlet and the hose should be kept as short as possible.

Depending on the frequency of use, it is essential that the areas

A and B in the illustrations are checked periodically and any fluff or debris removed. It is particularly important that the vent hose adaptor is fitted securely thus preventing any moisture laden air from being emitted back into the room.

NOTE: The dryer should not be pushed so far back that the hose adaptor is pulled out of position or the hose squashed. The hose should be kept clear of the air intake grille and kinks or ‘U’ bends avoided as these will obstruct the hose or trap condensation.

WARNING:

1. ENSURE THAT THE DRYER IS ADEQUATELY VENTILATED AND THAT THE END OF THE VENT HOSE IS NOT DIRECTED TOWARDS THE AIR INTAKE DUCT.

2. THE DRYER MUST NOT RECYCLE EXHAUST AIR.

3. THE VENT HOSE MUST ALWAYS BE FITTED FOR OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE.

4. MAKE SURE THAT THE VENT HOSE AND AIR INTAKE GRILLES ARE NOT OBSTRUCTED OR BLOCKED.

5. MISUSE OF A TUMBLE DRYER MAY CREATE A FIRE HAZARD.

6. DO NOT DISCHARGE THE EXHAUST AIR INTO A FLUE WHICH IS USED FOR EXHAUSTING FUMES FROM OTHER APPLIANCES BURNING GAS OR OTHER FUELS.

For open window venting it must be possible for the end of the hose to be directed downwards to prevent warm, moist air condensing in the room or in the dryer.

How to use your dryer

1. Plug in, switch on electricity.

3. Open the door by pressing and releasing the front panel in the position shown.

5. Load the dryer placing the clothes carefully in the drum pushing them well towards the back and away from the door seal. Close the door.

8. Press the START switch to commence the drying programme.

By opening the door you can check the dryness of the load as often as you wish and if you want, remove some items before they are fully dry. (This is particularly useful for a mixed load where you want to iron some items, but others are to be fully dried.) You will need

to press the start button after closing the door to re-start the programme. See section ‘The Controls’.

To set the programme, all you have to do is turn the Programme Control knob until the required selection appears in line with the indicator.

Automatic programmes (for load sizes more than 1kg)

1. Dry Cottons ( HIGH heat) This gives driest results. Some bulky items or large load of towels may appear slightly damp after this programme and require a short period of timed drying.

2. Damp Cottons ( HIGH heat)

3. Iron Dry Cottons ( HIGH heat)

This gives the wettest results.

4. Dry Synthetics ( LOW heat)

5. Damp Synthetics ( LOW heat)

6. Iron Dry Synthetics ( LOW heat)

Timed programmes (for load sizes less than 1kg)

Press and release the START button to commence a drying programme (The drying programme must have been selected first). The Active Light will then glow.

NOTE: If the door is opened during a programme, the Dryer will

automatically stop. To continue the programme, after closing the

door, the START button must be pressed.

Press the button IN to turn the dryer on. The dryer will not operate unless the power button is IN.

This light will glow whenever a programme is active (running). If this light flashes it shows that an automatic programme has exceeded 180 minutes. For safety reasons this being the maximum drying time available. Should this occur, the causes may be:

● The load is too big, or bulky.

● The filter is blocked.

● A cotton load was spun at LOW speed.

● There may be a fault.

Turn the dryer Off, check through the first three causes, and then try again.

About 10 minutes before the programme is completed, the heating elements will be switched off, and the programme enters the final ‘Cool Drying’ phase. During this phase, the fabric is cooled. You should always allow the dryer to complete this phase. By opening the door, you can check the dryness of the load as often as you wish and if you want remove some items before they are fully dry. (This is particularly useful for a mixed load where you want to iron some items, but others to be fully dried.)

You will need to press the START button after closing the door to re-start the programme. See previous page.

At the end of the drying programme it may not be convenient to take out the clothes immediately. Do not worry, the dryer will protect your clothes from creasing by gently turning them over occasionally by means of a few revolutions of the drum. At the same time, if you have not cancelled the Alarm (Buzzer) a warning buzz will sound intermittently to remind you that the clothes are ready to take out.

When to use ‘Easy Iron’

Important!

‘Easy Iron’ provides a short programme consisting of approximately 8 minutes of heat with an approximately 2 minutes cool tumble period. It is a short conditioning programme that softens the fibres allowing them to relax making handling and ironing easier and less time consuming.

However garments are dried, outside on the line, inside on a radiator, hung around the home or using a tumble dryer, once dry they usually get left in the same position/place for a long period of time. This tends to cause garment fibre stiffness which can make the handling of garments difficult and therefore the ironing time longer. Garments dried in any of the ways described above and left will benefit from the ‘Easy Iron’ programme.

● The ‘Easy Iron’ cycle is not a drying programme. It has been

designed to condition/soften garments that have already been dried and left unattended in this state for a period of time.

● All materials do not behave in exactly the same way when heated. For instance, our testing has shown that materials such as Tencel® and Acrylics are not relaxed quite as effectively by applying the ‘Easy Iron’ cycle as we found on the more traditional Cottons and Polycottons.

● To obtain the best results from ‘Easy Iron’ it is important that the weights recommended below are not exceeded.

● For best results We recommend garments should be removed from the dryer immediately after the ‘Easy Iron’ programme to be hung, folded neatly or ironed. When this is not possible the ‘Easy Iron’ programme should be repeated.

1. Always separate laundry into the correct fabric groups before washing and drying.

2. See that all zips are closed, hooks and eyes are fastened and belt, strings etc. are tied loosely in bows, you will normally have done this for each item before the washing stage.

3. It is important to extract as much water as possible from each item before drying. This saves you time and money.

WARNING: CLOTHES SHOULD NEVER BE LOADED DRIPPING WET

4. Make sure that the items to be dried are suitable for tumble drying, or are not of a type requiring ‘special attention’ (see“Wash Care Labels” section).

Your dryer will hold a load of 6kg (13lb) dry weight of natural fabrics. if you are drying items of man-made fibres (synthetic or acrylics), the maximum load should not exceed 3kg (6.6lb) dry weight. This difference is that man-made fibres require more space to tumbledry without creasing.

WARNING: DO NOT OVERLOAD AS THIS COULD RESULT IN REDUCED DRYING PERFORMANCE AND A POSSIBLE FIRE HAZARD.

If you group small cotton or terry-towelling items with a synthetic fabric load they could be damp at the end of the drying cycle. If this happens simply give them an additional short period of drying to finish them off.

Most of today’s fabrics can be tumble dried in your Dryer with no trouble at all, but there are certain fabric finishes which should be dried away from direct heat.

The majority of garments now have wash-care labels on them, giving full washing and drying instructions. These should always be followed carefully especially when you are drying something for the first time.

• Those containing foam rubber or rubber-like materials or plastic film (e.g. pillows, cushions, PVC rainwear), or any other articles which are inflammable or contain inflammable substances (e.g. towels contaminated with hair lacquer

• Fibreglass (e.g. some types of curtains)

• Items which have been dry cleaned

• Woollens. Woollen items need as much care in drying as they do in washing. The movement of the tumble-drying action causes the woollen fibre to shrink and distort.

• Garments with the ITCL Code (see ‘Items Requiring Special Attention’).

Do not tumble dry.

• Large bulky items e.g. continental quilts, sleeping bags, pillows, cushions, double blankets and large bedspreads. These expand when drying and would prevent airflow through the Dryer.

WARNING: THE DRYER IS INTENDED FOR USE ONLY WHERE WATER SOLUTION IS USED FOR THE CLEANING PROCESS. MISUSE OF A TUMBLE DRYER MAY CREATE A FIRE HAZARD.

Fabric conditioner

The drying requirements of blankets and bedspreads will, of course, vary tremendously according to size and weight. Some, however are simply too big. if you have difficulty getting them into the Dryer, the machine will have difficulty drying them properly. Blankets (and Garments) made from Acrylic fibres (e.g. Acilan, Courtelle, Orion and Dralon) must be dried with special care on Low heat setting. Overdrying should be avoided to ensure heat creasing does not occur.

Your dryer will cope with such clothes very well, but you should always read the manufacturer’s drying instructions attached to the garment before you begin.

Starched articles should be dried together in the same load to avoid the distribution of starch to non-starched items. You should use a slightly heavier starch solution than you would when drying the items on the washing line. Make sure that as much of the solution is removed from the load as possible before placing it in the Dryer. Remove the items from the dryer as soon as they reach ironing dampness. If they are overdried the starch will powder, leaving the fabric limp - which rather defeats the purpose of the exercise!

To make sure all your tumble dried clothes come out really fresh and soft we recommend you use a liquid fabric conditioner in the final rinse of your wash. A liquid fabric conditioner restores bounce and softness and helps eliminate static cling.

Please note that the drying times stated below and on appliance control panel; are a GUIDE only and drying times are affected by:-

Items such as towelling retain a lot of water after spinning, also the suggested wash programme for small items such as T-Shirts may sometimes incorporate a low spin speed which has the same effect.

Your drying load may contain the same type of fabric but of different thicknesses. Thinner items will take less time to dry. Some fabrics, such as those used for jeans are of closer texture than others and although light when dry will be heavy after washing and spinning.

Single items of clothes or small loads may take disproportionally longer to dry. It is more energy efficient to dry larger loads.

As it takes longer to fully dry clothes than to have them ready for ironing, you may wish to remove some clothes when they are slightly damp, ready for ironing and then continue to dry the remainder until they are fully dry.

The label on the garment should tell you the correct heat setting to select. See ‘Wash Care Labels’.

If the room in which the dryer is situated is cold, your clothes will take longer to dry than if the room is warm.

Some bulky items such as padded jackets can be dried, with care, and we do advise that you remove these items several times, shake them and return them to the dryer.

Garments with the ITCL Code may be cleaned using one of the Home Dry Cleaning Kits available. The instructions supplied with the Home Dry Cleaning Kit must be strictly followed.

Cleaning

Your Tumble Dryer needs very little attention. The following simple steps will keep it performing well.

Switch off electricity and remove plug. Ensure hands are dry.

Always clean the filter, by rinsing under the tap or using a vacuum cleaner. Turn the dryer by hand to check that small items like handkerchiefs do not get missed.

Wipe the drum and seal with a damp cloth.

Occasionally clean the surface of the stainless steel sensor inside the drum with vinegar to remove water contaminates. Apply carefully with a cloth this will maintain the drying performance of the dryer. The sensor is approx 50mm (2") round and located between the vanes of the drum towards the front of the dryer, rotate the drum if necessary to locate it.

Every 6 months vacuum the front air intake grille and Vents at the rear of the dryer, to remove the build up of fluff, lint or dust. To remove accumulation of fluff from the door, exhaust duct and filter areas, clean occasionally with a vacuum cleaner.

Problem

First, don’t panic! There may be nothing wrong at all. Look for your problem below, then check the things we suggest. More often than not, this will give you the answer to your problem, and you’ll be able to carry on without having to telephone your Service Office.

If after this you still cannot get your machine to work, follow the advice given on the next page.

Check these things first

1. Is the machine plugged in and switched on at the socket?

2. Is the Programme Control set to required time?

3. Is the door securely closed?

4. Has the start button been pressed hard enough? Try pressing the

start button again.

5. Has the fuse blown? (Try plugging in another appliance to check)

6. Have you used an extension lead? Many are not suitable. Try

plugging the dryer directly into a socket to check.

1. Have you forgotten to clean the filter? It should be cleaned after

each load.

2. Have you selected the correct Programme setting for the type of

fabric you are drying?

3. Is the flexible Vent Hose blocked or kinked? Check it for foreign

objects or condensate (water).

4. Have the air intake grille or rear vents of the Dryer been

obstructed?

5. Permanent venting - is flap on the storm cover obstructed?

6. Were the clothes ‘excessively wet’ when they were put in?

7. Was the correct time/programme selected?

8. Have you overloaded the dryer?

This is perfectly normal - it means that the Dryer is on ‘Crease Care’ and has reached the end of the drying cycle and the clothes are ready to take out.

Do not use

Lubrication

Abrasive cleaners, scouring agents, acids, chlorine bleach or metal polish to clean any part of the machine.

Your tumble dryer uses special bearing components. Lubrication by the user is not necessary and must not be attempted.

We strongly recommend that all appliances are regularly checked for electrical and mechanical safe.

This is perfectly normal, the dryer is on ‘Crease Care’ as above... Open the door and the bleeping will stop.

Disposal of your product

To minimise the risk of injury to children please dispose of your product safely. The door and lid should be removed and mains cable cut off flush with the appliance ensuring that the mains plug can no longer be plugged into a mains socket. The items must then be disposed of safely.

Conservation de ce livret

Ce livret de consignes doit être gardé à portée de main car il contient des détails importants sur l’utilisation correcte et en toute sécurité de cette machine.

Si vous vendez ou donnez cette machine à quelqu’un d’autre, ou si vous déménagez et la laissez, veillez à ce que ce livret reste avec la machine afin que le nouveau propriétaire puisse se familiariser avec la machine et les consignes de sécurité.

Pour votre propre sécurité et pour tirer le meilleur parti de l’appareil, il est toutefois important de connaître votre séchoir et de lire entièrement ce manuel avant d’utiliser le séchoir la première fois.

NE JAMAIS ● Laisser les enfants jouer avec le séchoir ou nuire à son

fonctionnement

NE JAMAIS ● Laisser s’obstruer l’entrée d’air à l’arrière du séchoir, la sortie

d’air ou le conduit d’aération.

NE JAMAIS ● Diriger la bouche du conduit d’aération vers l’entrée d’air à

l’arrière de la machine.

NE JAMAIS ● Laisser le séchoir rotatif recycler l’air d’échappement. NE JAMAIS ● Eteindre la machine en laissant une charge encore chaude dans

le tambour.

NE JAMAIS ● Faire sécher si le filtre n’est pas en place. NE JAMAIS ● Dépasser la charge maximale recommandée ou placer des

articles qui dégouttent dans le tambour.

NE JAMAIS ● Faire sécher au sèche-linge des chiffons ou autres qui ont été

utilisés avec des détergents ou produits de nettoyage chimiques.

NE JAMAIS ● Sécher d’articles contaminés par des produits inflammables

comme l’essence, l’huile, la peinture, la laque pour cheveux, les crèmes, la graisse ou l’huile de cuisson.

NE JAMAIS ● Sécher avec le séchoir rotatif : caoutchouc, caoutchouc mousse,

plastique, mousse de plastique, couches pour bébés ou sacspoubelles, polythène ou papier. De gros articles encombrants y compris les couettes et sacs de couchage.

NE JAMAIS ● Tenter de se tenir debout sur le séchoir; il n’a pas été conçu à

cet effet et vous pourriez vous blesser et endommager l’appareil par un tel traitement.

NE JAMAIS ● Mettre sous tension ou hors tension si vous mains sont mouillées.

TOUJOURS ● Eteindre l’appareil, retirer la fiche électrique et fermer la porte de

la machine quand elle n’est pas utilisée.

TOUJOURS ● Se conformer aux exigences électriques spécifiées. TOUJOURS ● S’assurer que le séchoir est correctement installé et jouit d’une

aération adéquate. (voir “Emplacement et aération du séchoir.”)

Les articles de laine, en particulier, ne doivent pas être placés dans le séchoir rotatif s’ils n’ont pas d’étiquette «Super lavage» , «Lavable à la machine» ou le symbole «Convient à un séchoir rotatif»: En cas de doute, ne pas sécher de laine dans la machine. Contrairement à d’autre matériel, le rétrécissement de la laine est irréversible, c’est-à-dire que la laine ne retrouve pas sa forme et sa taille originales.

TOUJOURS ● Acheter des accessoires et des pièces de rechange d’origine.

en cours d’utilisation du sèche-linge, éviter de toucher l’arrière de l’appareil car il risque d’être très chaud!

Exigences en matière d’électricité

ATTENTION: Cet appareil doit être mis à la terre.

REPORTEZ-VOUS A LA PLAQUE DE SPECIFICATIONS POUR CONNAITRE LE VOLTAGE ET LES EXIGENCES ACTUELLES. (voir schéma pour l’emplacement.)

Le séchoir doit être branché au secteur grâce à une prise qui demeure accessible après l’installation du séchoir. Les fils du câble du secteur possèdent des couleurs codées : VERT/JAUNE - MISE A LA TERRE BLEU - NEUTRE BRUN - PHASE

S’il faut installer une prise de remplacement, le fil bon doit être branché à la borne appropriée, la prise qui a été enlevé doit être éliminée de façon sécuritaire. NE PAS la laisser où elle pourrait être branchée à une prise et constituer un danger électrique.

UN ENFANT PEUT MONTER DANS LE SECHOIR OU LE DEREGLER SI L’APPAREIL EST LAISSE SANS SURVEILLANCE. QUAND LA MACHINE N’EST PAS UTILISEE, L’ETEINDRE, RETIRER LA FICHE ET FERMER LA PORTE.

Changement du câble du secteur

S’il faut remplacer le câble du secteur, veuillez contacter votre Centre de services le plus prêt. Des frais seront exigés pour le remplacement du câble du secteur ou s’il vous faut un câble plus long.

Le câble du secteur ne doit être remplacé que par un câble spécial obtenu d’un fournisseur de pièces de rechange et installé par un électricien qualifié.

Il est facile d’inverser la position de la porte du séchoir. Inverser diagonalement la position des fixations de charnières et des fiches de couverture. Inverser le loquet et l’ouverture du loquet de la porte avec les fiches de couverture correspondantes. Voir l’illustration ci-dessus.

Votre sèche-linge NE DEVRA PAS être installé près d’une cuisinière, table de cuisson, appareil de chauffage ou gril mural, dans la mesure où les flammes des feux pourraient endommager votre machine.Lorsque le sèchelinge sera installé sous un plan de travail, laissez un espace suffisant (10 mm minimum au-dessus) pour que l’air puisse entrer par la grille arrière.

N’UTILISEZ PAS des prises adaptateurs doubles ou câbles rallonges.

Cet appareil sèche le linge en aspirant de l’air ambiant froid, propre et relativement sec, en le chauffant puis en le soufflant à travers le linge tournant lentement dans le tambour. L’air chargé d’humidité à l’intérieur est refoulé à l’extérieur à l’arrière du sèche-linge; il est recommandé d’installer la gaine d’évacuation pour avoir les performances optimales. Pendant le fonctionnement du séchoir, il est indispensable de prévoir une bonne ventilation afin d’éviter le retour dans le local de gaz provenant d’appareils brûlant d’autres combustibles (ex. feux de bois à foyer ouvert).

Une gaine devra toujours être installée lorsque le sèche-linge fonctionne en refoulement forcé. Cette gaine doit être solidement montée à l’arrière de l’appareil (voir schéma à la page précédente). Si possible, il vaut toujours mieux raccorder la gaine à un orifice d’évacuation (à l’extérieur) permanent proche du sèchelinge (voir instructions ci-dessous).

Vérifiez bien que l’extrémité de la gaine d’évacuation n’est pas dirigée vers la grille d’entrée d’air à l’arrière du sèche-linge.

Si un tel raccordement fixe est impossible, votre sèche-linge fonctionnera aussi bien avec la gaine passée à travers une fenêtre entrouverte.

REMARQUE : la longueur de la gaine ne doit pas dépasser 2,4 m de long et il est recommandé d’éviter toute accumulation de bourre/peluche (et d’eau) à l’intérieur en la secouant fréquemment. Vérifiez également à chaque utilisation que la gaine n’est pas écrasée ou pincée.

En plus de la conduite d’aération, nous recommandons d’utiliser un dispositif d’aération mur/fenêtre. Il est disponible auprès de votre détaillant ou du Centre de pièces de rechange le plus près de chez vous.

Des instructions d’installation sont fournies avec ces ensembles qui peuvent être montés à travers un mur ou un fenêtre. Pour montage sur un mur, suivre les instructions suivantes. Percer un trou à gauche de l’emplacement prévu du séchoir. Maintenir la conduite aussi courte et droite que possible pour empêcher que l’humidité condensée ne retourne dans le séchoir. De la même façon, la conduite dans le mur doit être inclinée vers le bas en direction de l’extérieur. Pour montage sur une fenêtre avec un séchoir empilé, l’ou- verture dans la fenêtre devrait idéalement être sous la bouche et la conduite doit être aussi courte que possible.

Selon la fréquence d’utilisation, il est essentiel que les parties A et B des illustrations soient vérifiées régulièrement et que toutes peluches ou résidus soient enlevés. Il est particulièrement important que l’adaptateur de la conduite d’aération soit solidement raccordée, empêchant ainsi que l’air chargé d’humidité ne s’échappe dans la pièce.

REMARQUE : Le séchoir ne doit pas être trop poussé vers l’arrière de sorte que l’adaptateur de la conduite est déplacé et la conduite écrasée. La conduite doit être tenue à l’écart de la grille d’entrée d’air et il faut éviter les noeuds et les courbes en «U» qui peuvent bloquer la conduite et retenir la condensation.

ATTENTION

1. S’ASSURER QUE LE SECHOIR EST ADEQUATEMENT AERE ET QUE L’EXTREMITE DE LA CONDUITE D’AERATION N’EST PAS DIRIGEE VERS LA CONDUITE D’ENTREE D’AIR.

2. LE SECHOIR NE DOIT PAS RECYCLER L’AIR D’ECHAPPEMENT.

3. LA CONDUITE D’AERATION DOIT TOUJOURS ETRE INSTALLEE POUR UNE PERFORMANCE OPTIMALE.

4. S’ASSURER QUE LA CONDUITE D’AERATION ET LES GRILLES D’ENTREE D’AIR NE SONT PAS BOUCHEES OU

BLOQUEES.

5. UN SECHOIR ROTATIF MAL UTILISE CONSTITUE UN RISQUE D’INCENDIE.

6. NE PAS EVACUER L’AIR D’ÉVACUATION DANS UN TUYAU UTILISÉ POUR LES FUMÉES D’ÉVACUATION DE GAZ DE COMBUSTION PROVENANT D’AUTRES APPAREILS OU D’AUTRES COMBUSTIBLES.

Pour l’aération par une fenêtre ouverte, il faut que l’extrémité de la conduite soit dirigée vers le bas pour éviter la condensation d’air chaud et humide dans la pièce ou dans le séchoir.

Comment utiliser le séchoir

Les commandes

1. Brancher l’appareil, le mettre sous tension.

3. Ouvrir la porte en appuyant sur le panneau avant et en le relâchant à l’endroit indiqué.

5. Charger le séchoir, placer soigneusement les vêtements dans le tambour en les poussant vers le fond et en s’assurant qu’ils n’encombrent pas la fermeture de la porte. Fermer la porte.

8. Appuyer sur l’interrupteur de démarrage (START) pour amorcer le programme de séchage.

Pour retirer les vêtements

ATTENTION: LORSQUE VOUS ALLUMEZ OU ETEIGNEZ L’APPAREIL, S’ASSURER D’AVOIR LES MAINS SECHES.

9. Lorsque terminé, ouvrir la porte et retirer les vêtements. Nettoyer et replacer le filtre de

peluches.

Ouvrir la porte aussi souvent que vous le désirez, afin de vérifier si les vêtements sont suffisamment secs, ou retirer certains articles avant qu'ils ne soient trop secs. (Ceci est particulièrement utile avec des vêtements de textiles différents. Vous pourrez ainsi repasser certains articles et laisser complètement sécher les autres). Après avoir refermé la porte, il faut à nouveau appuyer sur l'interrupteur de démarrage (START) afin de poursuivre le programme. (voir section «Les commandes»)

2. Séparer la charge de vêtements (voir section «Séparation des vêtements»)

Pour régler le programme, il suffit de tourner le cadran de la minuterie pour mettre la durée requise en face du trait inscrit sur l'indicateur.

Programmes automatiques (poids du linge supérieur à 1 kg)

1. Cotons secs ( Température élevée) Ce réglage donne un linge très sec. Certains articles encombrants ou présentant une grande surface (serviettes de bain) peuvent être légèrement humides à la fin de ce programme et exigent un séchage supplémentaire minuté de courte durée.

Appuyer sur l'interrupteur de démarrage (START), puis le relâcher pour amorcer le programme de séchage. (Il faut au préalable avoir sélectionné le programme de séchage). Le voyant Programme en cours s'allume.

REMARQUE : Si la porte est ouverte pendant un programme, le séchoir

s'interrompt automatiquement. Pour poursuivre le programme, il suffit après

avoir refermé la porte, d'appuyer sur l'interrupteur de démarrage (START).
