Das Gerät entspricht allen relevanten Richtlinien
der EU und trägt deshalb das -Zeichen.
WARNUNG
stecken Sie nichts durch die Lüftungsöffnungen. Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen
Schlages.
Das Gerät ist nur zur Verwendung im Innen-
•
bereich geeignet. Schützen Sie es vor Tropfund Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit und
Hitze (zulässiger Einsatztemperaturbereich
0 – 40 °C).
Stellen Sie keine mit Flüssigkeit gefüllten Ge-

fäße, z. B. Trinkgläser, auf das Gerät.
Nehmen Sie das Gerät nicht in Betrieb und
•
ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose,

wenn sichtbare Schäden am Gerät oder
am Netzkabel vorhanden sind,

wenn nach einem Sturz oder Ähnlichem
der Verdacht auf einen Defekt besteht,
3. wenn Funktionsstörungen auftreten.
Geben Sie das Gerät in jedem Fall zur Reparatur in eine Fachwerkstatt.
Ein beschädigtes Netzkabel darf nur durch

eine Fachwerkstatt ersetzt werden.
Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker nie am Kabel aus

der Steckdose, fassen Sie immer am Stecker
an.
Wird das Gerät zweckentfremdet, nicht

3 Einsatzmöglichkeiten
Diese Nebelmaschine erzeugt durch Verdampfen einer Nebelflüssigkeit einen Kunstnebel, der

zur optimalen Inszenierung von Lichteffekten
genutzt werden kann (z. B. in Diskotheken, auf
der Bühne, in Party-Räumen).
Über die beiliegende Kabelfernbedienung
kann die Nebelmaschine in drei Modi (manueller Betrieb, Dauerbetrieb und Timer-Betrieb)
betrieben werden. Alternativ zur Fernbedienung
lässt sich das Gerät auch über ein DMX-Steuergerät mit DMX-512-Protokoll betreiben und so
problemlos in eine professionelle Lichtanlage
integrieren.
4 Nebelflüssigkeit einfüllen
WARNUNG 1. Beim Auffüllen mit Nebelflüs-
sigkeit darf das Gerät nicht
mit der Stromversorgung
verbunden sein. Ziehen Sie
erst den Netzstecker aus der
Steckdose!
2. Fügen Sie der Nebelflüssigkeit niemals entzündliche Flüssigkeiten jeglicher Art bei.
Explosionsgefahr!
3. Das Gerät ist nicht spritzwassergeschützt.
Gelangt Flüssigkeit in das Geräteinnere,
lassen Sie es vor der Inbetriebnahme erst
in einer Fachwerkstatt überprüfen und
säubern.
1) Den Tankverschluss (2) abschrauben.
2) Die Nebelflüssigkeit (☞ Kapitel 4.1) in den
Tank füllen. Eventuell daneben gelaufende
Flüssigkeit sofort mit einem Tuch abwischen,
damit sie nicht ins Geräteinnere gelangt.
3) Den Tank wieder fest verschließen.
4.1 Geeignete Nebelflüssigkeit
Von IMG STAGELINE sind folgende, für das
Gerät geeignete Nebelflüssigkeiten im 5-LiterKanister erhältlich:

Der Nebelflüssigkeit können folgende Duftzusätze aus dem Sortiment von IMG STAGELINE
beigefügt werden:

Eine Flasche Duftzusatz (25 ml) ist ausreichend
für 5 Liter Nebelflüssigkeit. Mehr Duftzusatz darf
nicht beigefügt werden, da sonst die Nebelmaschine verstopft.
5 Aufstellen / Montage des Geräts
Die im Gerät entstehende Wärme muss
•
durch Luftzirkulation abgegeben werden.
Achten Sie darauf, dass neben und über
dem Gerät ein Freiraum von mindestens
20 cm verbleibt und die Lüftungsöffnungen
am Gehäuse nicht abgedeckt sind.
Im Betrieb wird die Nebelaustrittsdüse sehr
•
heiß. Achten Sie darauf, dass sie einen Mindestabstand von 50 cm zu leicht entflammbaren und hitzeempfindlichen Materialien
hat.
Richten Sie das Gerät so aus, dass der heiße
•
Nebelstrom nicht direkt auf Personen trifft
– Verbrennungsgefahr!
Sämtliches Verpackungsmaterial entfernen.
Es dürfen sich keine Verpackungsreste an der
Nebel austrittsdüse befinden.
Das Gerät auf eine waagerechte Fläche stellen oder über den Bügel (1) montieren (z. B. mit
einer Befestigungsschelle an einer Traverse). Um
es genau waagerecht auszurichten, die Schrauben(4) an beiden Seiten des Bügels etwas lösen,
die Position des Geräts korrigieren und die
Schrauben wieder festziehen.
Wird das Gerät an einer Stelle installiert,
•
unter der sich Personen aufhalten können,
muss es zusätzlich gesichert werden [z. B.
durch ein Fangseil am Montagebügel (1); das
Fangseil so befestigen, dass der Fallweg des
Gerätes nicht mehr als 20 cm betragen kann).
Hinweis: Bei Nebelmaschinen findet im Bereich der
Nebel austrittsdüse Kondensation statt. Eine erhöhte
Feuchtigkeit unterhalb der Düse ist deshalb bei der
Wahl des Montageorts zu berücksichtigen.

Die beiliegende Fernbedienung an die Buchse
REMOTE CONTROL ONLY (8) anschließen.
7 Anschluss und Einstellung der
Adressebei DMX-Steuerung
7.1 Anschluss
Für die DMX-Signalübertragung sollten spezielle Kabel verwendet werden (z. B. Kabel der
CDMXN-Serie). Bei Leitungslängen ab 150 m
oder bei der Steuerung von mehr als 32 Geräten
über einen DMX-Ausgang wird grundsätzlich
das Zwischenschalten eines DMX-Aufholverstärkers empfohlen (z. B. SR-103DMX).

Den DMX-Eingang (9) mit dem DMX-Ausgang des DMX-Steuergeräts verbinden.
2)
Den DMX-Ausgang (7) mit dem DMX-Eingang des nächsten DMX-gesteuerten Geräts
verbinden. Dessen Ausgang wieder mit dem
Eingang des nachfolgenden Gerätes verbinden usw., bis alle DMX-gesteuerten Geräte
in einer Kette angeschlossen sind.
Die Buchse OUT (7) besitzt eine Verriegelung. Zum Herausziehen des Steckers den
PUSH-Hebel herunterdrücken.
3)
Um Störungen bei der Signalübertragung aus
zuschließen, sollte bei langen Leitungen oder
bei einer Vielzahl von hintereinandergeschalteten Geräten der DMX-Ausgang des letzten
DMX-Geräts der Kette mit einem 120-Ω-Widerstand (> 0,3 W) abgeschlossen werden: In
die DMX-Ausgangsbuchse einen entsprechenden Abschlussstecker (z. B. DLT-123) stecken.
7.2 Einstellung der DMX-Adresse
Die Nebelmaschine belegt einen Kanal am
DMX-Steuergerät. Damit sie angesteuert werden kann, muss sie auf die Adresse eingestellt
werden, die am Steuergerät für sie vorgesehen
ist (z. B. Adresse 1, wenn sie über den Kanal 1
des Steuergeräts gesteuert wird oder Adresse
7, wenn sie über den Kanal 7 des Steuergeräts
gesteuert wird).
Die Adresse wird über die DIP-Schalter (10)
als Binärzahl eingestellt. Sie ergibt sich durch
die Addition der Stellenwerte (Beschriftung
„1 ... 256“) derjenigen DIP-Schalter, die auf ON
gestellt sind, z. B.:

Am einfachsten ist es, vom größtmöglichen
Stellenwert auszugehen und die kleineren
Werte dazu zu addieren, bis sich als Summe
die Adresse ergibt.
8 Inbetriebnahme
WARNUNG
2. Die Nebelaustrittsdüse wird sehr heiß. Berühren Sie sie nie während des Betriebs oder
kurz da nach. Verbrennungsgefahr!
3. Betreiben Sie das Gerät nie ohne Nebelflüs-
sigkeit. Es besteht Brandgefahr durch Überhitzung. Außerdem kann das Gerät beschädigt werden.

1)
Die Nebelmaschine über das Netzkabel (6)
an eine Steckdose (230 V/ 50 Hz) anschließen.
2) Vor dem Einschalten der Nebelmaschine den
Füllstand des Tanks überprüfen und ggf.
Nebel flüssigkeit auffüllen (☞ Kapitel 4).
3) Das Gerät mit dem Schalter POWER (3) einschalten, der Schalter leuchtet. Die Nebelmaschine heizt ca. 4 Minuten lang auf. Während der Aufheizphase kann noch kein Nebel
ausgestoßen werden.
4)
Ist die Aufheizphase beendet, kann Nebel
ausgestoßen werden, entweder gesteuert
über die Fernbedienung oder über DMX
(☞Kapitel 8.1 oder 8.2).
5)
Nach dem Betrieb die Nebelmaschine mit
dem Schalter POWER (3) ausschalten.
Für einen Transport das Gerät erst abkühlen
lassen und den Tank vollständig entleeren!
Hinweis: Durch Nachtropfen von Flüssigkeit kann das
Gerät auch nach einem Nebelausstoß bzw. nach dem
Ausschalten noch etwas Nebel ausstoßen.
1. Das Gerät darf nur von erwachsenen Personen betrieben werden und nie unbeaufsichtigt laufen.

8.1.1 Manueller Betrieb
Um einen Nebelausstoß manuell auszulösen,
die grüne Taste MANUAL (19) drücken: Solange
sie gedrückt gehalten wird, stößt das Gerät die
maximale Nebelmenge aus.
Der manuelle Betrieb hat Priorität vor dem
Dauerbetrieb und dem Timer-Betrieb, d. h. beim
Drücken der grünen Taste stößt das Gerät immer
Nebel mit maximaler Menge aus, selbst wenn
eine der anderen beiden Betriebsarten eingeschaltet ist.
8.1.2 Dauerbetrieb
Im Dauerbetrieb stößt das Gerät ständig Nebel
aus.
1) Zum Einschalten des Dauerbetriebs die rote
Taste CONT (18) drücken, so dass sie einrastet
und die rote LED (14) über der Taste leuchtet.
2)
Mit dem Regler VOLUME (16) die Nebelmenge von 0 – 100 % einstellen.
3) Zum Ausschalten des Dauerbetriebs die rote
Taste wieder lösen.
Der Dauerbetrieb hat Priorität vor dem TimerBetrieb, d. h. bei gedrückter roter Taste ist das
Gerät auf Dauerbetrieb eingestellt, selbst wenn
der Timer-Betrieb mit der Taste TIMER (15) eingeschaltet ist.
8.1.3 Timer-Betrieb
Im Timer-Betrieb stößt das Gerät automatisch
Nebel in einstellbaren Zeitintervallen von 5 bis
140 Sekunden aus. Die Nebelphasen und Pausen sind dabei gleich lang.
1)
Zum Einschalten des Timer-Betriebs die gelbe
Taste TIMER (15) drücken, so dass sie ein
rastet und die gelbe LED (13) über der Taste
leuchtet.
2) Mit dem Regler INTERVAL (12) die Nebelausstoßintervalle einstellen.
3)
Mit dem Regler VOLUME (16) die Nebelmenge von 0 – 100 % einstellen.
4)
Zum Ausschalten des Timer-Betriebs die gelbe
Taste wieder lösen, die LED darüber erlischt.
8.2 DMX-Betrieb
Nach Beendigung der Aufheizphase (ca. 4 Minuten nach dem Einschalten) ist die Nebelmaschine
bereit zum Nebelausstoß.
Tipp: Um die Nebelbereitschaft optisch anzuzei-
gen, kann die beiliegende Fernbedienung
mit der Buchse REMOTE CONTROL ONLY
(8) verbunden werden: die grüne LED (17)
leuchtet, sobald die Aufheizphase beendet ist.
1) Das DMX-Steuergerät einschalten.
2) Am DMX-Steuergerät für den Kanal, der zur
Ansteuerung der Nebelmaschine verwendet
wird, den gewünschten DMX-Wert einstellen.

9 Reinigung
Verwenden Sie zur äußeren Reinigung nur ein
trockenes, weiches Tuch, auf keinen Fall Chemikalien oder Wasser, das in das Gerät laufen
könnte.
Nebelmaschinen sind aufgrund der dickflüssigen Nebelflüssigkeit und der hohen Verdampfungstemperatur für Verstopfungen anfällig.
Darum wird empfohlen, nach ca. 40 Betriebsstunden eine Reinigungsflüssigkeit, bestehend
aus 80 % destilliertem Wasser und 20 % Essig,
durch das Gerät laufen zu lassen.
1)
Die Nebelmaschine vom Netz trennen und
ausreichend abkühlen lassen.
2) Den Tank vollständig entleeren.
3) Die Reinigungsflüssigkeit in den Tank füllen.
4)
Das Gerät in gut durchlüfteter Umgebung mit
der Reinigungsflüssigkeit so lange betreiben,
bis der Tank leer ist.
5)
Das Gerät nun wieder mit Nebelflüssigkeit
befüllen und für ca. 3 Minuten Nebel erzeugen, um die Säurerückstände aus dem Gerät
zu entfernen.

3 Applications
By vaporizing a fog fluid, this fog machine will
create artificial fog which can be used to enhance any light effects (e. g. in clubs, on stage,
in party rooms).
The cable remote control provided allows
to operate the fog machine in three modes
( manual mode, continuous mode and timer
mode). As an alternative to the remote control,
the unit can also be operated via a DMX controller with DMX 512 protocol. Thus, it is easily
integrated into a professional lighting system.
4 Filling Up Fog Fluid
WARNUNG 1. While filling up fog fluid, the
unit must not be connected
to the mains. Always disconnect the mains plug from
the socket before filling up!
2. Never add flammable fluids of any kind to
the fog fluid! Explosion hazard!
3. The unit is not splashproof. If fluid gets inside
the unit, it must be cleaned and checked by
skilled personnel before it is operated.
1) Unscrew the tank cap (2).
2)
Fill up the tank with fog fluid (☞ chapter
4.1). If any fluid is spilt, wipe it off immediately with a cloth so that it will not get inside
the unit.
3) Tightly close the tank.

4.1 Suitable fog fluid
The following fog fluids from IMG STAGELINE
suitable for the unit are available in 5 litre containers:

A bottle of scent (contents 25 ml) will be sufficient for 5 litres of fog fluid; higher quantities
may clog the fog machine.
5 Setting Up / Installing the Unit
The heat produced inside the unit must be
•
dissipated by air circulation. Make sure that a
minimum space of 20 cm is provided around
and above the unit and that the air vents of
the housing are not covered.
During operation the fog output nozzle will
•
become very hot. Always ensure a minimum
distance of 50 cm to easily flammable material or material sensitive to heat.
Adjust the unit so that the hot fog stream
•
will not directly hit persons – risk of burns!
Remove the complete packaging material. Make
sure that there are no packaging remnants at
the fog output nozzle.
Place the unit on a horizontal surface or
mount it via its bracket (1) [e. g. on a cross
arm via a mounting clip]. For precise horizontal adjustment of the unit, slightly release the
two screws (4) on both sides of the mounting
bracket, readjust the position of the unit, then
retighten the two screws.

ple may walk or sit under it, additionally secure it [e. g. via a safety rope on the mounting
bracket (1); fasten the safety rope in such a

way that the maximum falling distance of
the unit will not exceed 20 cm].
Note: Fog machines will develop condensation around
the fog output nozzle. When selecting a mounting
place, take into account that moisture will accumulate
below the nozzle.

7 Connection and Address
Adjustment for DMX Control
7.1 Connection
For DMX signal transmission, special cables
are recommended (e. g. cables of the CDMXN
series). For cable lengths exceeding 150 m or
when controlling more than 32 units via a single DMX output, it is generally recommended
to insert a DMX level matching amplifier (e. g.
SR-103DMX).
1) Connect the DMX input (9) to the DMX output of the DMX controller.
2)
Connect the DMX output (7) to the DMX
input of the following DMX-controlled unit.
Connect its output to the input of the following unit etc. until all DMX-controlled units
have been connected in a chain.
The jack OUT (7) has a latching. To remove
the plug, press the PUSH lever.
3)
To prevent interference in signal transmission,
in case of long cables or a multitude of units
connected in series, terminate the DMX output of the last DMX unit in the chain with a
120 Ω resistor (> 0.3 W): Connect a corresponding terminating plug (e. g. DLT-123) to
the DMX output jack.
7.2 Adjusting the DMX address
The fog machine uses one channel on the DMX
controller. To allow control of the fog machine, it
must be adjusted to the address provided for it
on the controller (e. g. address 1 if it is controlled
via channel 1 of the controller or address 7 if
it is controlled via channel 7 of the controller).
The address is adjusted via the DIP switches
(10) as a binary number. The address is the sum
The easiest way is to start from the highest possible place value and add the smaller values. This
sum will be the address.
8 Operation
WARNUNG
1. The unit must be operated by
adults only; never leave it unattended.
2. The fog output nozzle will become very hot.
Never touch it during operation or shortly
afterwards. Risk of burns!
3. Never operate the fog machine without fog
fluid, otherwise there will be a fire hazard
due to overheating. Besides, the unit may
be damaged.
1)
Connect the fog machine via the mains
cable(6) to a mains socket (230 V/ 50 Hz).
2) Prior to switching on the fog machine, check
the fluid level of the tank and fill up fog fluid,
if required (☞ chapter 4).
3)
Switch on the unit with the POWER switch(3):
the switch will light up. The fog machine will
heat up for approx. 4 minutes. While the unit is
heating up, fog output will not be possible yet.
4)
After heating up, fog output will be possible,
either via remote control or via DMX control
(☞ chapter 8.1 or 8.2).
5) After operation, switch off the fog machine
with the POWER switch (3).
Before transporting the unit, it must cool
down and the tank must be completely empty!
Note: Due to residual fluid in the fog machine, the
unit may still produce some fog after a fog output or
after switching off.

8.1.3 Timer mode
In the timer mode, the fog machine will automatically produce fog in adjustable intervals of
5to 140 seconds. The fog output times are just
as long as the pauses.
1) To activate the timer mode, press the yellow
button TIMER (15) so that it will engage and
the yellow LED (13) above the button will
light up.
2)
With the control INTERVAL (12), adjust the
intervals between the individual fog outputs.
3)
With the control VOLUME (16), adjust the fog
output quantity from 0 – 100 %.
4)
To deactivate the timer mode, disengage
the yellow button; the LED above it will be
extinguished.
8.1.1 Manual mode
To manually activate a fog output, press the
green button MANUAL (19): While this button
is kept pressed, the unit will produce the maximum quantity of fog.
The manual mode will take priority over the
continuous mode and the timer mode, i. e. when
the green button is pressed, the unit will always
produce the maximum quantity of fog even if
one of the other operating modes is activated.
8.1.2 Continuous mode
In the continuous mode, the unit will produce
fog continuously.
1) To activate the continuous mode, press the
red button CONT (18) so that it will engage
and the red LED (14) above the button will
light up.
2)
With the control VOLUME (16), adjust the fog
output quantity from 0 – 100 %.
3)
To deactivate the continuous mode, disengage the red button.
The continuous mode will take priority over the
timer mode, i. e. when the red button is pressed,
the unit is set to continuous mode even if the
timer mode has been activated with the button
TIMER(15).
8.2 DMX mode
After heating up (approx. 4 minutes after switching on), the fog machine is ready to produce fog.
Hint: To visually indicate that the unit is ready to
produce fog, the remote control provided
can be connected to the jack REMOTE
CONTROL ONLY (8): once the heating
process is completed, the green LED (17)
will light up.
1) Switch on the DMX controller.
2)
On the DMX controller, adjust the desired
DMX value for the channel used to control
the fog machine.

9 Cleaning
For cleaning the outside of the unit, only use
a dry, soft cloth; never use chemicals or water
which may get inside the unit.
Due to the viscosity of the fog fluid and the
high vaporizing temperature, fog machines are
susceptible to clogging. After approx. 40 hours
of operation, it is therefore recommended to
clean the unit with a fluid consisting of 80 %
distilled water and 20 % vinegar.
1) Disconnect the fog machine from the mains
and allow it to cool down sufficiently.
2) Completely drain the tank.
3) Fill the tank with cleaning fluid.
4) Operate the unit with cleaning fluid in a suf-
ficiently ventilated environment until the tank
is empty.
5) Refill the unit with fog fluid and create fog
for approx. 3 minutes to remove any acid
residues from the unit.

3 Possibilités d’utilisation
En vaporisant un fluide, la machine à fumée
produit une fumée artificielle pouvant être uti-

lisée pour une mise en scène optimale d’effets
de lumière (p. ex. dans des discothèques, sur
scène, dans des salles de fêtes).
Via la télécommande filaire livrée, la
machine peut fonctionner sous trois modes
[manuel, continu ou Timer (programmateur)].
A la place de la télécommande, l’appareil peut
également être géré par un contrôleur DMX
avec protocole DMX512 et ainsi être intégré très
facilement dans une installation professionnelle
de lumière.
4 Remplissage du liquide
AVERTISSEMENT
2. N’ajoutez jamais de liquides inflammables
de n’importe quel type au liquide de fumée.
Risque d’explosion!
3. L’appareil n’est pas protégé contre les éclaboussures. Si du liquide venait à couler dans
l’appareil, ne le mettez pas en fonctionnement mais faites-le vérifier et nettoyer par
un technicien spécialisé et habilité.
1) Dévissez le bouchon du réservoir (2).
2)
Remplissez le réservoir avec du liquide de
fumée (☞ chapitre 4.1) : si du liquide coule,
essuyez immédiatement avec un chiffon, il ne
doit pas pénétrer dans l’appareil.
3) Refermez le réservoir.
4.1 Liquides appropriés

5 Positionnement et utilisation
del’appareil
La chaleur dégagée par l’appareil doit être
•
évacuée par une circulation d’air. Veillez à ce
qu’une distance libre de 20 cm au moins soit
respectée autour et au-dessus de l’appareil
et à ce que les ouïes de ventilation sur le
boîtier ne soient pas obturées.
Pendant le fonctionnement, la buse est très
•
chaude ; veillez à la placer à une distance de
50 cm au moins de tout matériau facilement
inflammable ou sensible à la chaleur.
Dirigez toujours l’appareil de sorte que le
•
dégagement de fumée chaud ne touche
directement aucune personne. Risque de
brûlure !
Retirez l’ensemble des éléments d’emballage et
assurez-vous qu’il n’en reste aucun au niveau
de la buse.
Placez l’appareil sur une surface horizontale
ou montez-le via l’étrier (1) [par exemple avec
un collier de fixation sur une traverse]. Pour le
mettre exactement à l’horizontale, desserrez les
vis (4) sur les deux côtés de l’étrier de montage,
corrigez la position de l’appareil et revissez les vis.
Si l’appareil doit être installé au-dessus de
•
personnes, il doit être en plus assuré [p. ex.
avec une corde de sécurité sur l’étrier de
montage (1). Fixez la corde de telle sorte
que la distance de chute de l’appareil ne
puisse pas être supérieure à 20 cm].
Conseil : Sur les machines à fumée, il y a de la condensation au niveau de la buse. Lorsque vous choisissez
le lieu de montage, prenez en compte l’accumulation
d’humidité sous la buse.

7 Branchement et réglage de
l’adresse en mode de gestion DMX
7.1 Branchement
Pour la transmission DMX, il est recommandé
d‘utiliser des câbles spécifiques (par exemple
câbles de la série CDMXN). Pour des longueurs
de liaison dépassant 150 m et pour une gestion
de plus de 32 appareils via une seule sortie DMX,
il est recommandé d‘insérer un amplificateur
DMX de signal (par exemple SR-103DMX).
1)
Reliez l’entrée DMX (9) à la sortie DMX du
contrôleur DMX.
2) 2Reliez la sortie DMX (7) à l’entrée DMX du
prochain appareil géré par DMX ; reliez la
sortie de ce dernier à l’entrée de l’appareil
suivant et ainsi de suite de manière à ce que
tous les appareils gérés par DMX soient reliés
en une chaîne.
La prise OUT (7) possède un verrouillage.
Pour retirer la fiche, enfoncez le levier PUSH.
3) Pour éviter les perturbations lors de la transmission du signal, il convient, pour de longs
câbles ou pour une multitude d’appareils
branchés les uns derrière les autres, de terminer la sortie DMX du dernier appareil
DMX de la chaîne avec une résistance 120 Ω
(>0,3 W): mettez un bouchon correspondant (par exemple DLT-123) dans la prise de
sortie DMX.
7.2 Réglage de l’adresse DMX
La machine à fumée utilise un canal sur le
contrôleur DMX. Pour pouvoir gérer la machine
à fumée, elle doit être réglée sur l’adresse prévue
pour elle sur le contrôleur (par exemple adresse
1, si elle est gérée via le canal 1 du contrôleur
ou adresse 7 si elle est gérée via le canal 7 du
contrôleur).
Réglez l’adresse via les interrupteurs DIP (10)
sous forme de valeur binaire : elle s’obtient en
additionnant les valeurs de position (repérage
«1 … 256») des interrupteurs DIP réglés sur
ON, par exemple:

Le plus simple est de partir de la valeur de position la plus grande possible et d’y ajouter les
valeurs plus petites jusqu’à obtenir, en les additionnant, l’adresse.
8 Fonctionnement

2. La buse est très chaude; ne la touchez pas
pendant le fonctionnement ni juste après.
Risque de brûlure !
4. Ne faites jamais fonctionner l’appareil sans
liquide. En cas de surchauffe, il y a un risque
d’incendie ; en outre, l’appareil pourrait être
endommagé.
1)
Reliez l’appareil via le cordon secteur (6) à
une prise secteur 230 V/ 50 Hz.
2)
Avant d’allumer la machine, vérifiez le niveau du réservoir et si besoin, remplissez-le
(☞chapitre 4).
3)
Allumez l’appareil avec l’interrupteur POWER
(3), l’interrupteur brille. La machine chauffe
pendant 4 minutes environ. Pendant la phase
de chauffe, l’appareil ne peut pas encore dégager de la fumée.
4)
Lorsque la phase de chauffe est terminée,
la fumée peut être dégagée, soit par une
gestion via la télécommande soit via DMX,
(☞chapitre 8.1 ou 8.2).
5)
Après le fonctionnement, éteignez la machine
avec l’interrupteur POWER (3).
Pour pouvoir transporter l’appareil, laissez-le
refroidir et videz entièrement le réservoir.
Remarque : L’appareil peut encore dégager un peu de
fumée après un dégagement ou après l’arrêt à cause
des résidus de liquide dans la machine.

8.1.1 Fonctionnement manuel
Pour dégager manuellement de la fumée, appuyez sur la touche verte MANUAL (19) : tant
qu’elle est enfoncée, l’appareil dégage la quantité maximale de fumée.
Le fonctionnement manuel est prioritaire
sur le mode continu et le mode Timer, c’est-àdire que lorsqu’on appuie sur la touche verte,
l’appareil dégage toujours la quantité maximale

8.1.2 Fonctionnement continu
En mode continu, l’appareil dégage tout le
temps de la fumée.
1) Pour activer le mode continu, appuyez sur la
touche rouge CONT (18) jusqu’à ce qu’elle
s’enclenche et la LED rouge (14) au-dessus
de la touche brille.
2)
Avec le réglage VOLUME (16), réglez la quan
tité de fumée de 0 à 100 %.
3) Pour désactiver le mode continu, désenclen-
chez la touche rouge.
Le mode continu est prioritaire sur le mode
Timer, c’est-à-dire que lorsqu’on appuie sur la
touche rouge, l’appareil est réglé sur le mode
continu, même si le mode Timer a été activé
avec la touche TIMER (15).
8.1.3 Mode Timer
En mode Timer, l’appareil émet automatiquement de la fumée à intervalles réglables de 5 à
140 secondes. Les phases de fumée et de pause
sont de la même durée.
1)
Pour activer le mode Timer, appuyez sur la
touche jaune TIMER (15) jusqu’à ce qu’elle
s’enclenche et que la LED jaune (13) au-dessus de la touche brille.
2) Avec le réglage INTERVAL (12), réglez les intervalles entre les dégagements individuels
de fumée.
3)
Avec le réglage VOLUME (16), réglez la quan
tité de fumée de 0 à 100 %.
4)
Pour désactiver le mode Timer, désenclenchez
la touche jaune, la LED au-dessus s’éteint.
8.2 Mode DMX
Une fois la phase de chauffe terminée (4 minutes
environ après l’allumage), la machine est prête
à dégager de la fumée.

l’état de la machine, on peut relier
la télécommande livrée à la prise

1) Allumez le contrôleur DMX.
2) Sur le contrôleur DMX, réglez la valeur DMX

9 Nettoyage
Pour nettoyer l’extérieur de l’appareil, utilisez
uniquement un chiffon sec et doux, en aucun
cas de produits chimiques ou d’eau qui pourrait
pénétrer dans l’appareil.
Les machines à fumée peuvent se boucher
facilement à cause de la viscosité du liquide et
des hautes températures d’évaporation. C’est
pourquoi, nous re commandons de faire circuler
dans l’appareil, après 40 heures environ de fonctionnement, un liquide de nettoyage, composé
de 80 % d’eau distillée et de 20 % de vinaigre.
1)
Débranchez la machine du secteur et laissez-la refroidir suffisamment.
2) Videz entièrement le réservoir.
3) Remplissez le réservoir avec le liquide de net-
toyage.
4)
Faites fonctionner l’appareil avec le liquide
de nettoyage dans un environnement bien
ventilé jusqu’à ce que le réservoir soit vide.
5)
Remplissez l’appareil à nouveau avec le liquide à fumée, faites-le fonctionner pendant
3 minutes environ pour éliminer tout résidu
acide de l’appareil.

L’apparecchio è previsto solo per l’uso all’in-

terno di locali. Proteggerlo dall’acqua gocciolante e dagli spruzzi d’acqua, da alta umidità
dell’aria e dal calore (temperatura d’impiego
ammessa fra 0 e 40 °C).
Non depositare sull’apparecchio dei conteni-

tori riempiti di liquidi, p. es. bicchieri.
Non mettere in funzione l’apparecchio e stac-

care subito la spina rete se:
1. l’apparecchio o il cavo rete presentano dei
danni visibili;
2. dopo una caduta o dopo eventi simili sussiste il sospetto di un difetto;
3.
l’apparecchio non funziona correttamente.
Per la riparazione rivolgersi sempre ad un’officina competente.
Il cavo rete, se danneggiato, deve essere so-

stituito solo da un laboratorio specializzato.
Staccare il cavo rete afferrando la spina, senza

tirare il cavo.

smaltimento ad un’istituzione locale

3 Possibilità d’impiego
Questa macchina fumogena, mediante la vaporizzazione di un liquido, genera del fumo

artificiale che può essere sfruttato per creare
effetti di luce (p. es. in discoteche, per spettacoli,
durante party).
Tramite il telecomando a cavo in dotazione,
la macchina fumogena può essere controllata
in tre modi (manuale, continuo, con timer). In
alternativa al telecomando è possibile anche il
controllo tramite un’unità di controllo DMX con
protocollo DMX 512 integrando l’apparecchio
in questo modo senza problemi in un impianto
professionale di luci.
4 Rabboccare di liquido
AVVERTIMENTO
2. Non aggiungere mai al liquido dei liquidi
infiammabili. Pericolo d’esplosione!
3. L’apparecchio non è protetto contro gli
spruzzi d’acqua. Se del liquido penetra
all’interno, prima della messa in funzione
occorre far controllare e pulire l’apparecchio
da un laboratorio specializzato.
1) Svitare la chiusura (2) del serbatoio.
2)
Immettere il liquido (☞ Capitolo 4.1) nel serbatoio. Il liquido eventualmente rovesciato va
subito tolto con un panno per escludere che
possa entrare dentro l’apparecchio.
3) Richiudere bene il serbatoio.
4.1 Liquido adatto
IMG STAGELINE mette a disposizione in taniche
da 5 litri i seguenti liquidi adatti per l’apparecchio:

Una bottiglietta di aroma (25 ml) è sufficiente
per 5 litri di liquido. Non aggiungere altri aromi
per non otturare la macchina.
5 Collocamento /
montaggio della macchina
Il calore prodotto all’interna della macchina
•
deve poter circolare verso l’esterno. Fare in
modo che vicino e sopra la macchina ci sia
una spazio libero di non meno di 20 cm e
che le fessure di aerazione sul contenitore
non siano coperte.
Durante il funzionamento, l’ugello d’eroga-
•
zione di venta molto caldo. Rispettare una
distanza minima di 50 cm da materiali facilmente infiammabili e sensibili al calore.
Orientare l’apparecchio in modo tale che il
•
fumo di nebbia calda non colpisca direttamente le persone – pericolo di ustioni!
Togliere tutti i materiali d’imballaggio. Sull’ugello d’erogazione non ci devono essere dei resti
dell’imballaggio.
Collocare l’apparecchio su una superficie
orizzontale o montarlo per mezzo della staffa (1)
[p. es. mediante una fascetta ad una traversa].
Per orientarla esattamente in senso orizzontale,
allentare le due viti (4) ai due lati della staffa,
correggere la posizione dell’apparecchio e stringere di nuovo le viti.
Se viene installato in un punto sotto il
•
quale si possono trattenere delle persone,
occorre prevedere un sistema di sicurezza
supplementare [p. es. per mezzo di una
fune di trattenuta sulla staffa di montaggio (1); fissare la fune in modo tale che la
caduta dell’apparecchio non possa superare
i 20 cm].
N. B.: Nelle macchine fumogene, vicino all’ugello d’erogazione, si manifesta della condensazione. Nella
scelta del luogo di montaggio si deve quindi tener
presente l’umidità aumentata sotto l’ugello.

7 Collegamento e impostazione
dell’indirizzo con comando DMX
7.1 Collegamento
Per il collegamento si dovrebbero usare cavi speciali per la trasmissione di segnali DMX (p. es. cavi
della serie CDMXN). Nel caso di lunghezze oltre
i 150 m o di gestione di oltre 32 apparecchi con
una sola uscita DMX, si consiglia per principio
l’impiego di un amplificatore DMX (p. es. SR103DMX).
1)
Collegare l’ingresso DMX (9) con l’uscita DMX
dell’unità di comando DMX.
2)
Collegare l’uscita DMX (7) con l’ingresso DMX
del successivo apparecchio con comando
DMX e l’uscita di quest’ultimo con l’ingresso
dell’apparecchio successivo finché tutto gli
apparecchi con comando DMX sono collegati
formando una catena.
La presa OUT (7) possiede un bloccaggio.
Per sfilare il connettore, spingere in basso la
levetta PUSH.
3)
Per escludere interferenze durante la trasmissione dei segnali, in caso di cavi lunghi o di un
gran numero di apparecchi collegati in serie,
l‘uscita DMX dell‘ultimo apparecchio DMX
della catena dovrebbe essere terminata con
una resistenza di 120 Ω (> 0,3 W): inserire una
resistenza di terminazione corrispondente
(p. es. DLT-123) nella presa d‘uscita DMX.
7.2 Impostazione dell’indirizzo DMX
La macchina fumogena occupa un canale sull’unità di comando DMX. Per poterla comandare
deve essere impostato l’indirizzo previsto per la
macchina (p. es. indirizzo 1 se viene comandata
mediante il canale 1 dell’unità di comando oppure indirizzo 7 se viene comandata mediante
il canale 7).
L’indirizzo si imposta con i dip-switch (10)
come numero binario. Tale numero risulta
dall’addizione dei valori (scritta „1 ... 256“) dei
dip-switch messi su ON, p. es.:

Il modo più semplice è partire dal valore maggiore e aggiungere i valori minori fino ad ottenere l’indirizzo come somma.
8 Messa in funzione
AVVERTIMENTO
2. L’ugello d’erogazione fumo diventa molto
caldo durante il funzionamento. Non toccarlo mai con la mano durante il funzionamento o subito dopo. Pericolo di ustioni!
3. Non usare mai l’apparecchio senza il liquido.
Esiste il pericolo di incendio per surriscaldamento. Inoltre, l’apparecchio può subire
dei danni.
1)
Collegare la macchina fumogena con una
presa di rete (230 V/ 50 Hz) per mezzo del cavo
rete (6).
2) Prima dell’accensione controllare il livello del
liquido nel serbatoio e eventualmente aggiungerne (☞ Capitolo 4).
3)
Accendere l’apparecchio con l’interruttore
POWER (3), l’interruttore s’illumina. La macchina si riscalda per 4 minuti circa. Durante la
fase di riscaldamento non è possibile erogare
del fumo.
4) Al termine della fase di riscaldamento si può
erogare del fumo, comandato mediante il
telecomando oppure tramite DMX (☞ Capitolo 8.1 o 8.2).
5) Dopo l’uso spegnere la macchina con l’interruttore POWER (3).

N. B.: Per via del gocciolìo finale del liquido è possibile
che un po’ di fumo venga erogato anche al termine

8.1 Funzionamento tramite il telecomando
Non appena si accende il LED verde (17), la fase
di riscaldamento è terminata e la macchina è
pronta per l’erogazione di fumo.

8.1.1 Funzionamento manuale
Per aver un’erogazione manuale premere il
tasto verde MANUAL (19): Mentre lo si tiene
premuto, l’apparecchio eroga la quantità massima di fumo.
Il funzionamento manuale ha la priorità ri-
spetto a quello continuo o mediante timer, cioè,
premendo il tasto verde, viene erogato sempre
il fumo con la massima quantità anche se è attivata una delle altre modalità di funzionamento.
8.1.2 Funzionamento continuo
Con questa modalità, l’apparecchio eroga continuamente del fumo.
1) Per attivare il funzionamento continuo pre-
mere il tasto rosso CONT (18) fino allo scatto e
il LED rosso LED (14) sopra il tasto si accende.
2) Con il regolatore VOLUME (16) impostare la
quantità di fumo fra 0 – 100 %.
3)
Per disattivare il funzionamento continuo
sbloccare il tasto rosso.
Il funzionamento continuo ha la priorità rispetto
a quello mediante timer, cioè, premendo il tasto
rosso, è attivato il funzionamento continuo
anche se è attivato il funzionamento mediante
timer con il tasto TIMER (15).
8.1.3 Funzionamento mediante timer
Durante il funzionamento mediante timer,
l’apparecchio eroga il fumo automaticamente
ad intervalli regolabili fra 5 e 140 secondi. in
questo caso, le fasi di fumo e di pausa sono di
lunghezza identica.
1)
Per attivare il funzionamento mediante
timer premere il tasto giallo TIMER (15) fino
alla scatto; il LED giallo (13) sopra il tasto si
accende.
2)
Con il regolatore INTERVAL (12) impostare gli
intervalli d’erogazione.
3) Con il regolatore VOLUME (16) impostare la
quantità di fumo fra 0 – 100 %.
4)
Per disattivare il funzionamento mediante
timer sbloccare il tasto giallo; il LED sovrastante si spegne.
8.2 Funzionamento con DMX
Al termine della fase di riscaldamento (ca. 4 minuti dopo l’accensione), la macchina fumogena
è pronta per l’erogazione di fumo.
Un consiglio: Per indicare visivamente la dispo-
nibilità all’erogazione, è possibile
collegare il telecomando in dotazione con la presa REMOTE CONTROL ONLY (8): Il LED verde (17)
si accende non appena la fase di
riscaldamento è terminata.
1) Accendere l’unità di comando DMX.
2) Sull’unità di comando DMX impostare, per il
canale necessario per comandare la macchina
fumogena, il valore DMX desiderato.

9 Pulizia
Per la pulizia esterna usare solo un panno
asciutto, morbido, in nessun caso prodotti chimici o acqua che potrebbe penetrare nell’apparecchio.
Per via del liquido molto denso e dell’alta
temperatura d’evaporazione, le macchine fumo
gene sono facilmente soggette ad otturazioni.
Perciò è consigliabile, dopo 40 ore di funzionamento circa, immettere nella macchina un
liquido detergente composto al 80 % da acqua
distillata e al 20 % da aceto.
1) Staccare la macchina fumogena dalla rete e
farla raffreddarsi.
2) Svuotare completamente il serbatoio.
3)
Immettere il liquido detergente nel serbatoio.
4)
Far funzionare l’apparecchio con detto liquido, in un ambiente bene ventilato, finché
il serbatoio non è vuoto.
5)
Riempire l’apparecchio nuovamente con il
liquido fumogeno e produrre per 3 muniti
circa del fumo per eliminare i residui di acidi
dall’apparecchio.
