ALARM OR DOORBELL SOUNDS WHEN MOTION IS DETECTED
INTRODUCTION
The Alarm can be wall mounted using the bracket supplied.
The Alarm is operated using a 4 digit User Access Code with the keypad on the front of the alarm.
A passive Infra-Red (PIR) detector is designed to detect movement in an area by detecting changes in infra-red radiation levels caused for example when a person/animal moves within the devices field of vision.

INSTALLING BATTERIES
The Motion Sensing Alarm requires three AA batteries.
The battery compartment is located on the back of the unit.
1.Remove the battery compartment screw and slide off the cover in the direction of the open arrow.
The system has 2 operating modes: ALARM and CHIME. Chime Mode is a low security feature that will produce a door-chime sound when the alarm is triggered. In Alarm Mode the device will produce a constant high volume alarm sound when triggered.
Safety: Always follow the manufacturers advice when using power tools; steps, ladders etc. and wear suitable protective equipment (e.g. safety goggles) when drilling holes etc.
Before drilling holes in walls, check for hidden cables and pipes, the use of a cable/pipe locater may be advisable if in doubt.
The use of ear protection is advisable when working in close proximity to the Siren due to the high sound level produced by this device.
Do not use in wet locations.
INSTALLATION
The alarm is designed to be wall mounted with the ball and socket mount (included). The ball and socket mount will provide the flexibility to aim the motion sensor in a particular direction.
1.Select your desired location for the alarm, such as the corner of a room. This will provide maximum coverage.
Note: The sensor has a 6m detection zone, with approximate angles of 110˚ horizontal and 70˚ vertical. Recommended installation height is 1.8 – 2.4 m.

2.Secure the ball and socket mount to the wall using either the provided wall anchors or by screwing directly into a wall stud. Once installed securely on the wall, slide the insert bracket of the mount into the back of the unit and lock in place. The mount will click when secured to the alarm.

2.Insert three AA batteries. Take care to note the polarity diagram inside the battery compartment.
3.Replace battery compartment cover and secure screw.
LOW BATTERY INDICATOR
The Motion Sensing Alarm has a low battery indicator light. When the batteries need to be replaced, the indicator light will flash slowly.
CREATING A PERSONAL ALARM CODE
The keypad allows you to set a personal 4-digit code for arming and disarming the alarm.
1.Remove the screw from the battery compartment cover and slide off the cover in the direction of the open arrow.
2.Press the LEARN button once; the red indicator light on the front of the alarm will blink for 15 seconds. During this time, input your 4-digit code. A beep will confirm each input. The unit will flash a green light 3 times to confirm the new 4-digit code has been saved.
3.Replace the battery compartment door and secure screw.
OPERATING IN ALARM MODE
1.Locate the ALARM/CHIME switch on the side of the alarm.
2.Slide the switch to ALARM mode.
Arming the Alarm:
1.Arm the alarm by entering your 4-digit code. A beep will sound after each button is pressed.
2.When the 4-digit code is entered correctly the unit’s indicator light will flash a green light once. If entered incorrectly, the unit will sound and the indicator light will flash red 3 times.
3.A red light will immediately begin to flash indicating the 45 second exit delay has started. The delay allows time for you to leave the protected area without triggering the alarm.
4.When motion is detected, the alarm unit will sound a short tone and a red light will flash. The alarm will activate after 30 seconds. The siren will sound for 30 seconds (unless disarmed) and then turn off. After 15 seconds the alarm wil check for motion. If motion is detected, the siren will sound again. The cycle will repeat until the unit is disarmed.
Disarming the Alarm:
1.When returning to the protected area, simply enter your 4-digit code within 30 seconds to disarm the alarm.
2.When the fourth digit of your code is entered, the unit will respond with 2 tones and the indicator light will flash green twice.
The unit will beep once if motion is sensed. If the correct code is not entered within 30 seconds, the alarm will sound. Enter correct code anytime after the alarm has sounded to deactivate.
Note: To test, a cloth can be used to cover the alarm to reduce risk of hearing damage.
Incorrect code
If an incorrect code is entered, the unit will sound a louder beep and will flash red 3 times. Re-enter the correct code after the light stops flashing.
OPERATING IN CHIME MODE
The chime is used to notify you when motion is sensed in the area. 1. Slide the ALARM/CHIME switch to CHIME mode.
Activating the Chime:
The chime will sound immediately when motion is sensed. No code is required. The motion sensor will retest the area 15 seconds after the chime sounds.
Deactivating the Chime:
To deactivate the chime slide the ALARM/CHIME switch to ALARM mode.
TESTING MOTION SENSOR OPERATION
1.Set the alarm to CHIME mode; the chime will sound once.
2.After the initial chime, wait 15 seconds and then wave your hand in front of the sensor. If the chime sounds immediately, the sensor is working correctly.
MAINTENANCE
To clean the unit housing, use a soft cloth slightly dampened with water and wipe dry. Do not use chemical agents as this may damage and discolor the unit.
Warning:
Risk of personal injury
•Prolonged exposure to alarm siren may cause permanent hearing loss.
Battery Warning:
•Remove batteries before storing the Alarm for extended periods.
•Batteries may leak harmful liquids or ignitable materials or explode causing injury and product damage.
•Do not mix old and new or other battery types.
•Replace all batteries at the same time.
•Replace fully discharged batteries immediately.
For indoor use only; do not use in wet locations.
TROUBLE SHOOTING
Alarm Unit not operating
•Batteries low, flat, missing or are incorrectly fitted.
•Incorrect User Access Code entered
PIR causing false alarms
•PIR badly positioned, (e.g. in direct sunlight, draughts and above radiator etc.).
DISPOSAL AND RECYCLING
At the end of their useful life the packaging and product should be disposed of via a suitable Recycling Centre.
Do not dispose of with your normal household waste.

INLEIDING
Het alarm kan op de muur gemonteerd worden door middel van de meegeleverde beugel.
Het alarm wordt bediend door middel van een 4-cijferige code die ingevoerd wordt op het toetsenpaneel aan de voorkant van het alarm.
Een passieve infrarood (PIR) detector wordt ontworpen om in een bepaalde zone beweging te detecteren door de wijzigingen in de infrarood stralingswaarden, bijvoorbeeld wanneer een persoon/dier beweegt binnen het gezichtsveld van het toestel.

Het systeem heeft 2 bedieningsmodi: ALARM en CHIME (deurbelmodus). De deurbelmodus (chime) heeft een lage beveiligingseigenschap en produceert het geluid van een deurbel als er beweging gedetecteerd wordt. In de alarmmodus produceert het toestel een constant luid alarm als er beweging gedetecteerd wordt.
Veiligheid: Volg steeds het advies van de fabrikant bij het gebruik van gereedschap; trapjes, ladders enz. en draag de juiste beschermingsmiddelen (bv. veiligheidsbril) bij het boren van gaten enz.
Controleer alvorens gaten in de muren te boren of er verborgen kabels en leidingen zitten. Het gebruik van een kabel-/leidingzoeker wordt aanbevolen bij twijfel.
Het gebruik van gehoorbescherming is aan te raden als u in de nabijheid van het alarmsignaal werkt omwille van het hoge geluidsvolume dat door dit toestel geproduceerd wordt.
Niet gebruiken in vochtige omgevingen.
INSTALLATIE
Het alarm is ontworpen om op de muur gemonteerd te worden d.m.v. de montagebeugel (meegeleverd). Deze biedt de flexibiliteit om de bewegingssensor in een bepaalde richting te draaien.
1.Kies de gewenste locatie voor het alarm, bijvoorbeeld in de hoek van een kamer. Dit biedt maximale dekking.
Opmerking: De sensor heeft een detectiezone van 6m in hoeken van bij benadering 110° horizontaal en 70° verticaal. Aanbevolen installatiehoogte is 1,8 – 2,4 m.

2.Bevestig de montagebeugel op de muur door middel van de meegeleverde muurverankeringen of door rechtstreeks in een muursteun te schroeven. Als dit veilig geïnstalleerd is op de muur, schuif dan het alarm in de beugel. De beugel zal klikken als hij vastzit in het alarm.
BATTERIJEN INSTALLEREN
Het bewegingsdetectie-alarm heeft drie AA batterijen nodig. Het batterijvak bevindt zich aan de achterkant van het alarm.
1. Verwijder de schroef van het batterijvak en schuif het deksel in de
batterijvakken

2.Stop er drie AA batterijen in. Houd rekening met het polariteitschema in het batterijvak.
3.Plaats het deksel van het batterijvak terug en draai de schroef vast.
WAARSCHUWINGSLAMPJE VOOR LEGE BATTERIJ
Het bewegingsdetectie-alarm heeft een waarschuwingslampje voor lege batterij. Als de batterijen vervangen moeten worden, knippert het waarschuwingslampje langzaam.
EEN PERSOONLIJKE ALARMCODE AANMAKEN
Via het toetsenpaneel kunt u een 4-cijferige persoonlijke code instellen om het alarm inof uit te schakelen.
1.Verwijder de schroef uit het deksel van het batterijvak en schuif het deksel eraf in de richting van de pijl voor openen.
2.Druk eenmaal op de knop LEARN; het rode waarschuwingslampje aan de voorkant van het alarm knippert gedurende 15 seconden. Voer tijdens die 15 seconden uw 4-cijferige code in. Elke invoer wordt bevestigd door een pieptoon. Er knippert 3 keer een groen lampje op het alarm om te bevestigen dat de nieuwe 4-cijferige code is opgeslagen.
3.Plaats het deksel van het batterijvak terug en zet de schroef vast.
GEBRUIK IN ALARMMODUS
1.Zoek de ALARM/CHIME-schakelaar aan de zijkant van het alarm.
2.Schuif de schakelaar naar de ALARM-modus.
Het alarm inschakelen:
1.Schakel het alarm in door uw 4-cijferige code in te voeren. Telkens wanneer er een knop wordt ingedrukt, klinkt er een pieptoon.
2.Als de 4-cijferige code juist is ingevoerd, knippert het groene waarschuwingslampje van het alarm één keer. Als de code fout wordt ingevoerd, zal het alarm een geluid geven en knippert het rode waarschuwingslampje 3 keer.
3.Er begint onmiddellijk een rood lampje te knipperen om aan te geven dat de vertraging van 45 seconden begonnen is. Deze 45 seconden geven u de tijd om de beveiligde zone te verlaten zonder dat het alarm afgaat.
4.Als er beweging wordt gedetecteerd, geeft het alarm een korte toon en knippert er een rood lampje. Het alarm gaat na 30 seconden af, zodat u de tijd heeft om het bij binnenkomst uit te schakelen. Het alarm loeit gedurende 30 seconden (tenzij het eerder uitgeschakeld wordt) en schakelt dan uit. Na 15 seconden controleert het alarm weer of er beweging is. Indien er beweging wordt gedetecteerd, gaat het alarm opnieuw af. De cyclus wordt herhaald tot het alarm wordt uitgeschakeld.
Het alarm uitschakelen:
1.Voer bij het terugkeren naar de beveiligde zone eenvoudigweg uw 4-cijferige code in binnen 30 seconden om het alarm uit te schakelen.
2.Als het vierde cijfer van uw code is ingevoerd, antwoordt het alarm met 2 tonen en het groene waarschuwingslampje knippert tweemaal.
Het alarm piept één keer zodra er beweging wordt gedetecteerd. Als de juiste code niet wordt ingevoerd binnen 30 seconden, zal het alarm afgaan. Voer als het alarm afgaat de juiste code in om het uit te schakelen.
Opmerking: Voor de test kan er een doek gebruikt worden om het alarm te bedekken en zo het risico op gehoorschade te beperken.
Foute code
Als er een foute code wordt ingevoerd, zal het alarm een luidere pieptoon laten horen en zal het rode waarschuwingslampje 3 keer knipperen. Voer opnieuw de juiste code in nadat het lampje stopt met knipperen.
BEDIENING IN DEURBELMODUS (CHIME)
De deurbelmodus wordt gebruikt om u te waarschuwen wanneer er beweging wordt gedetecteerd in de zone.
1.Schuif de ALARM/CHIME-schakelaar naar de CHIME-modus (deurbelmodus).
De deurbelmodus inschakelen:
Het deurbelgeluid klinkt onmiddellijk als er beweging wordt gedetecteerd. Er is geen code nodig. De bewegingssensor zal de zone 15 seconden na de belgeluiden opnieuw testen.
De deurbelmodus uitschakelen:
Om de deurbelmodus uit te schakelen schuift u de ALARM/ CHIME-schakelaar naar de ALARM-modus.
WERKING VAN DE BEWEGINGSSENSOR TESTEN
1.Stel het alarm in op de CHIME-modus (deurbelmodus); de bel weerklinkt één keer.
2.Na het eerste belgeluid wacht u 15 seconden en zwaait u vervolgens met uw hand voor de sensor. Als de bel onmiddellijk klinkt, dan werkt de sensor correct.
ONDERHOUD
Om de behuizing van het alarm te reinigen gebruikt u een zachte enigszins vochtige doek en veegt u het alarm droog. Gebruik geen chemische middelen want deze kunnen het alarm beschadigen en doen verkleuren.
Waarschuwing:
Risico op persoonlijk letsel
•Langdurige blootstelling aan het alarmsignaal kan permanente gehoorschade veroorzaken.
Waarschuwing in verband met de batterijen:
•Verwijder batterijen alvorens het alarm voor langere tijd op te slaan.
•Batterijen kunnen schadelijke vloeistoffen of ontvlambaar materiaal lekken of ontploffen, waardoor letsels en productschade kunnen ontstaan.
•Meng geen oude en nieuwe batterijen of verschillende batterijtypes.
•Vervang alle batterijen tegelijkertijd.
•Vervang volledig lege batterijen onmiddellijk.
Enkel voor gebruik binnenshuis; niet gebruiken in vochtige omgevingen.
PROBLEEMOPLOSSING
Het alarm werkt niet
•Batterijen leeg, bijna leeg, ontbreken of onjuist geplaatst.
•Onjuiste gebruikerstoegangscode ingevoerd.
PIR veroorzaakt valse alarmen
•PIR slecht geplaatst (bv. in direct zonlicht, tocht en boven een radiator, enz.).
WEGGOOIEN EN RECYCLEN
Aan het einde van hun levensduur moet de verpakking en het product weggegooid worden via een geschikt recyclecentrum.
Niet weggooien bij uw gewone huishoudelijke afval.
