Maintenance
• Place the unit on a level surface away from sources of direct sunlight or excessive heat.
• Protect your furniture when placing your unit on a natural wood and lacquered finish. A cloth or other protective
material should be placed between it and the furniture.
• Clean your unit with a soft cloth moistened only with mild soap and water. Stronger cleaning agents, such as Benzene,
thinner or similar materials can damage the surface of the unit.

(1) This device may not cause harmful interference, and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause undesired operation.

Thank you for purchasing the iHome iD38, the home system for your iPad, iPhone and iPod. This device works with iHome
apps available on the App Store enabling additional alarm features, settings, firmware updates, and other enhancements.
Device compatibility with our apps and features are subject to change. This instruction booklet explains the basic operation and care of the unit and does not cover our apps. Visit iHomeaudio.com/apps <http://iHomeaudio.com/apps> for our

iD38 Quick Start
1: Power

Attach AC adaptor cable to DC jack on back of the
unit and plug the other end into a wall socket.
Remove the backup battery pull tab from the battery
compartment on the bottom of the unit.
3: Playing your
iPad/iPhone/iPod
2: Setting Clock with AutoSync
Gently dock your iPad, iPhone or iPod into the 30 pin
dock. The unit will attempt to autosync to the time on
your iPad, iPhone or iPod. This process takes about 3
seconds.
4: Updating firmware
Gently dock your iPad/iPhone/iPod into the 30 pin dock.
The iPad/iPhone/iPod will charge while docked. Press
the Button on the unit to play your iPad/iPhone/
iPod.
For best performance, make sure to update the iD38
firmware. To do so, download the free iHome Set app
from the App Store. Launch the app, scroll to “Search
for update” and follow onscreen directions if an update is
available. NOTE: Firmware updates require a 3G service
or Wi-Fi network connection. Do not remove your iOS
device while updating firmware on the iD38.

booklet. Please download the free iHome Set app from
the App Store and review the Start Guide.
