1. ON/OFF, Analogue Volume Rotary with LED
Power O N (with m ode sel ectio n): Pres s and hold t he rotar y

Wire less* M ode (Bl uetoo th):
The x CAN is ab le to sto re up to 8 pai red Blu etoot h devic es.
From sw itch on, if the xC AN is in Wi reles s m ode (Blu e), it will
'bl ink' B lue a s it s earch es for 15 se conds for a previ ously paire d
dev ice. If a stored devic e is not fo und, it will au tomat icall y enter
pai ring mo de (INP UT: Blue /Red bl inki ng).
A new Blu etoot h de vice can be ' force pai red' by pres sing the
'Se tting s' butt on (gea r icon) fo r 3 secon ds, whi le in BT Mo de.

The 3D +® Matri x ( on/of f) re create s a h ologr aphic so und fiel d
lik e li stenin g to a p air of s peake rs. I t is a pure analo gue signa l
pro cessin g circu it desi gned for li steni ng to head phone s as if
one was liste ning to sp eaker s. This addr esses the 'musi c ins ide
the h ead' im press ion whi ch is unco mfor table fo r liste ning.

XBa ss II® (O n/Off ) has b een imp lemen ted in th e xCAN fo r the
fir st time . If XBas s II is use d, plea se refer t o point s ectio n 9.

res ponse s howed t hat a pu rely ' flat' r espon se is not corre ct. Our
lo ng p res ent XBa ss® fit s t he prof ile of the lo w-fr equ enc y
cor recti on re quire d. H owever, it was also shown tha t a cert ain
amo unt of lowe r mi dran ge b oost is nee ded to g ive many
hea dphon es a mo re 'nat ural' sound . As th is lowe r midr ange
regi on is u suall y also c alled t he "pre sence " regio n we hav e used
thi s ter m to i ndica te th e lowe r mid range corre ctio n. In the
xCA N, XBas s II (or p erhap s bett er HP-E Q) can be s elec ted to
have ei ther Bas s + Pres ence corr ectio n, only Bas s or Pre sence
cor recti on only. S elect a ccord ing to li steni ng prefe rence.
Tip: Sonica lly-hi nderi ng DSP is NOT us ed for XBas s II® n or 3D+ ®
Matr ix s ystem s. Th ey u se th e hi ghest -qual ity discr ete c ompon ents
and ope rate pure ly in t he analo gue domai n. Hence all th e c larit y
and re solut ion of th e origi nal mus ic is ful ly reta ined.
