The outer dial should be set to the current time.
Rotate the dial slowly in a clockwise direction, until the correct hour is aligned with the arrow printed on the dial.
Note that the outer dial is printed with 24 hour clock. 8.00 am = 8 on the dial. 8.00pm = 20 on the dial.
Clock hands will allow for fine adjustment of the current time setting of the dial.
Do not attempt to rotate the dial in an anti-clockwise direction.

Fault Potential Corrective Actions
Central Heating will not
switch on
Check that the timer tappets are set to the outer edge of the dial.
Rotate the room thermostat knob until the set point is 30ºC.
Check that the power to the boiler is switched on.
Check that the “Mode” knob on the front of the boiler is in the winter
position.
Check that the link wire in the incoming mains connection to the boiler
is in place across the room stat connections (see boiler installation
instructions).
Check that the Timer On/Timed/Off switch is on (or the unit is timed on)
Stand next to the boiler holding the room thermostat for 5 mins. If the
central heating switches on then the room thermostat was either too far
away from the boiler or there were unsuitable materials between the
boiler and the room thermostat. Re-position room thermostat.
Change the batteries in the room thermostat.
Replace both the RF Timer and the RF Room Thermostat for a new pair.

Fault Potential Corrective Actions
Central Heating will not
switch off
Check that the timer tappets are set to the inner edge of the dial.
Check the room temperature is not below 5ºC (frost protection).
Rotate the room thermostat knob until the set point is 5ºC
Check that the Timer On/Timed/Off switch is off ( or the unit is timed off)
Stand next to the boiler holding the room thermostat for 5 mins. If the
central heating switches off then the room thermostat was either too far
away from the boiler or there were unsuitable materials between the
boiler and the room thermostat. Re-position room thermostat.
Change the batteries in the room thermostat.
Replace both the RF Timer and the RF Room Thermostat for a new pair.

The unit requires 2 x AA 1.5V Batteries.
Batteries should operate for approximately 18
months.
Only good quality 1.5V alkaline batteries
should be used. DO NOT use re-chargeable
batteries as they only have a terminal
voltage of 1.2V nominal.
To replace batteries remove the Room Stat
from its back plate. Gain access by using a
at headed screwdriver inserted into the slot
underneath the unit.
Note that if the batteries are removed for more
than 30 seconds, the set temperature will be
lost.
If the batteries are not replaced and no signal
is received by the receiver the red room stat
signal light will be illuminated on the boiler
mounted RF Timer.
After 1 hour the boiler will operate in
“Emergency Mode” with a continuous, but
reduced temperature until the batteries are
replaced.
