¾ OPC-2078 PIN ASSIGNEMNT (D-sub 25 pin)
*1Impedance=1k, 240 mVrms r3 dB at 1kHz 60%
Dev.
*2Serial : When you set OPC-1939’s pin 4 or pin 10 to
“Serial port”, pin 10 or pin 4, respectively, will also be automatically set to “Serial port”. When you set OPC-1939’s pin 4 or pin 10 to “Serial port”, pin 10 or pin 4, respectively, will also be automatically set to “Serial port”.
*3IGSW : Input port for the LCD backlight control signal.
If a voltage is input from external equipment, the LCD backlight becomes dimmer.
*4AFO: If you set this pin to output the AF signal to an
external amplifier, you can control the amplifier’s volume level by the radio’s [VOL] control. (100 mVrms r 3 dB at 1kHz 60% Dev.)
*
5
EPTT: When this pin goes to “LOW”, the radio
transmits a signal, and mutes the microphone at the same time.

¾ Purpose
Each pin (except of Ext. I/O 11 (10)) has its own selectable Purpose, and optionally selected Function. When you set a pin’s “Purpose” to Ext. I/O, you can use the pin as an external input/output port for a selected “Function”. When you set a pin’s “Purpose” to Serial, IGSW, AFO or EPTT, you cannot change the values of “In/Out”, “Function” or “Active Logic”.

¾ Active Logic
The output power from the cable can be selected from either ‘Low’ or ‘High’. This function is usable only when I
n/Out is set to Output, and Function is set to any
options, except N
ull.
NOTE:
• External I/O 6 (15) is fixed to “High.”
• External I/O 11 (10) is fixed to “Low.”

No function.
MCH Select : 1/2/3/4 This function enables memory channels to be selected by an external signal. You need to program the pins on the OPC-1939/2078 ACC CABLE to select from the base channel number of "0".
You can assign combinations for up to 16 channels that can be externally selected using the MCH Select function.
The desired memory channel can be assigned to the external channel numbers in the CH Switch Table sheet.
