More and more desktop computers are being replaced by laptop computers.
However practical the laptop PC may be, it is, from an ergonomic point of view,
not desirable to use it for extended periods of time. Due to the low positioning of
the laptop screen and the fixated keyboard, most laptop users maintain a
hunched-over body posture while working. Intensive laptop use can therefore
cause serious musculoskeletal pain and injuries.
The Ergo-Q 330 provides the perfect solution! The Ergo-Q 330 allows the LCD
computer screen to be adjusted to the users correct viewing height and depth,
encouraging both a comfortable and safe posture. The Ergo-Q 330 also includes
a document holder, which conveniently positions documents just below the laptop
screen to minimize undue head and neck motion. In combination with a separate
keyboard and mouse you can easily create an ergonomic workstation anywhere

Legal requirements for laptop computing
By European legislation, employers are obliged to
take proper measurements to prevent physical
discomforts among their employees. Separate from
the screen the keyboard needs to be both tiltable
and freely movable to allow a comfortable working
position avoiding fatigue in the arms and hands. In
addition one must be able to increase the height of
the screen by placing a support underneath the
monitor. The document holder requires to be stable,
adjustable, and positioned so as to minimize
uncomfortable head and eye movements. These
guidelines do not only apply to desktop computers
but also to laptop computer stations. Hence without
additional precautions intensive laptop use is
prohibited. In some European countries, e.g. the
Netherlands, laptop use for a period of more than
two hours per day is forbidden.
Using the Ergo-Q 330 together with an external
keyboard complies with legal workplace
requirements by which laptop use is no longer
restricted to two hours per day.
