1. LIEFERUMFANG / SCOPE OF DELIVERY
Das Filteraggregat OF5C wird unverpackt
ausgeliefert. Das Filterelement wird getrennt
verpackt der Lieferung beigelegt; Es muß vor
Inbetriebnahme des Filteraggregats eingebaut werden.

The OF5C combination filter unit is supplied
unpacked. The filter element is packed separately and included in the consignment. Prior
to commissioning the combination filter unit,
the filter element has to have been integrated.
The scope of delivery extends to the following:

2. TECHNISCHE BESCHREIBUNG/ TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION
2.1 Leistungsmerkmale / Performance Features
Das OF5C wurde entwickelt als eine
Kombination aus Filteraggregat OF5
und Fluid Control Unit FCU
2010/2110/2210. Das anschlußfertige,
fahrbare Filteraggregat wird einsatzbereit mit Schläuchen und Netzanschluß
geliefert. Es erlaubt die Überwachung
der Ölreinheit und Filterung des Hydraulikfluids mit einem Aggregat. Außerdem
ist ein automatisches
Abreinigen des Öls bis zu einer bestimmten Fluidreinheit oder zwischen
einer oberen und unteren Reinheitsklasse nach NAS 1638 oder ISO 4406 gewünschten Grenzwert möglich.
Die Abreinigung des Mediums kann dabei vollautomatisch und ohne Bedienpersonal durchgeführt werden.
The OF5C was developed as a combination of
the OF5 filter unit and FCU 2010/2110/2210
fluid control unit. The factory-assembled, portable wheeled combination filter unit is supplied ready for use including all the tubing and
mains connection. It enables the oil purity to
be monitored and the hydraulic fluid to be filtered by a single unit. In addition, automatic oil
purification up to a certain hydraulic fluid purity
or within an upper and lower purity classification according to NAS 1638 or ISO 4406 is
enabled.
In so doing, purification of the hydraulic fluid
can be done fully automatically without any
operating personnel being required

2.2 Konstruktionsmerkmale / Design Features
Das Filteraggregat OF5C arbeitet nach
folgendem Prinzip:
Mittels einer Konditionierpumpe (KE
1310) wird das zu reinigende Fluid mit
dem notwendigen Druck und Volumenstrom zu der Fluid Control Unit
FCU 2010/2110/2210 geleitet. Hier
wird die Reinheit des Mediums nach
NAS 1638 oder ISO 4406 festgestellt
und nach Bedarf ein -mittels FCU
2010/2110/2210 kontrolliertesFilteraggregat zu/oder abgeschaltet.
Die Daten können dabei selbstverständlich wie an einer separat betriebenen FCU 2010/2110/2210 ständig
durch On-Line Ausdruck dokumentiert
werden.
Zum Anschluß an die Hydraulikanlage
besitzt das Filteraggregat zwei
Schläuche, die in das Reservoir
der Hydraulikanlage eingetaucht
werden können. Zum Schutz der
Pumpe vor Verschmutzung ist im
Saugschlauch ein reinigbares Filter
eingebaut, das von Zeit zu Zeit ge
säubert werden sollte.
The OF5C combination filter unit functions
according to the following principle:
A conditioning pump (KE 1310) serves to
conduct the fluid to be purified to the FCU
2010/2110/2210 fluid control unit under the
necessary pressure and at the necessary
volumetric flow rate. This unit determines
the purity of the hydraulic medium according
to NAS 1638 or ISO 4406 and switches on
or switches off a filter assembly controlled
by the FCU 2010/2110/2210, as may prove
necessary. The data generated in the process can be continuously outputted and
documented by way of an online printout as
with a separately operated FCU
2010/2110/2210.
The combination filter unit possesses two
hoses enabling connection to the hydraulic
system, the two hoses being capable of being immersed in the reservoir of the hydraulic system. A cleanable filter is integrated in
the suction hose for the purpose of protecting the pump against contamination/clogging. This filter should be cleaned
from time to time.

4. EINSATZBESCHRÄNKUNGEN

Verbindung mit Mineralölen (oder Raffinaden

Hazards Posed by Using the OF5C
The OF5C combination filter unit has
been designed and constructed in accordance with the current state of the art
and recognised safety regulations. Nevertheless hazards may be posed to the
life and limb of the individual operating
the unit or to third parties.

falsche Handhabung möglich.

Safety Devices
Vor jeder Inbetriebnahme des OF5C müssen
alle Schutzvorrichtungen an der zu überwachenden Hydraulikanlage sachgerecht angebracht und funktionsfähig sein.
Bewahren Sie die Betriebsanleitung ständig am
Einsatzort des OF5C auf.
Ergänzend zur Betriebsanleitung sind die allgemeingültigen sowie die örtlichen Regelungen
zur Unfallverhütung und zum Umweltschutz
bereitzustellen und zu beachten.
Halten Sie alle Sicherheits- und Gefahrenhinweise am OF5C in lesbarem Zustand.
Gefahren durch elektr. Energie
Arbeiten an der elektrischen Versorgung bitte
nur von einer Elektrofachkraft ausführen lassen.
Die elektrische Ausrüstung des OF5C regelmäßig überprüfen. Lose Verbindungen und beschädigte Kabel sind sofort auszutauschen.
Sind Arbeiten an spannungsführenden Teilen notwendig, ist das Gerät vom elektrischen Netz zu trennen.

sure to disconnect the unit from the power
supply first.

Do not make any modifications (structural modifications, extensions) to the OF5C without the
prior consent of the manufacturer.

using non-OEM components it cannot be ensured that they have been designed and manufactured so as to comply with loading and
safety requirements.

Maintenance work may only be performed by
properly trained personnel using the right tools
for the job.
No maintenance or servicing work may be done
on the OF5C combination filter unit unless it
has been shut down and disconnected from the
power supply and the hydraulic facility.
When connecting the OF5C to the power supply system, adherence is to be maintained to
local power company safety regulations and
provisions.

Auffangwannen, Aufsauggeräte und Bindemittel
müssen bereit gestellt werden
Hydrauliköle und wassergefährdende Flüssigkeiten dürfen nicht in das Erdreich oder Gewässer bzw. Kanalisation gelangen. Eine sichere und umweltschonende Entsorgung von Hydraulikölen muß gewährleistet werden. Vorschriften der Länder über Grundwassergefährdung, Altöle und Abfälle sind zu beachten!

Hydraulic media and water-polluting fluids must
not be allowed to soak into the soil, seep into
bodies of water or the swage system. Ensure
that hydraulic media are disposed of in an environmentally safe manner. Adherence is to be
maintained to pertinent national and local
regulations pertaining to groundwater protection, waste/spent oil and (hazardous) waste.

constant monitoring of the purity of the oil
extracted from the reservoir is enabled according to NAS 1638 and ISO 4406.
Durch die Regelfunktionen des FCU

The control functions of the FCU
2010/2110/2210 enable the filter assembly to
be switched off after a specified purity rating
has been achieved. In addition, system purity
can be maintained within a certain range
(The operator defines an upper and lower
purity limit using the MODE4 function of the
FCU 2010/2110/2210).
When the oil purity range desired is reached
(left), the OF5C automatically switches off
(on) after a delay of approx. 5 min
The OF5C also automatically switches off
when the filter element is clogged or contaminated. A signal lamp also lights up on the
control box at the same time.

7. ANSCHLUß UND INBETRIEBNAHME
INSTALLATION AND COMISSIONING
Zunächst muß das mitgelieferte Filterelement in das OF5C eingebaut werden (vergleiche Punkt 8.1 Wartung und
Pflege, Filterelementwechsel). Durch
Tippbetrieb ist die Drehrichtung des EMotors zu überprüfen ggf muß die Drehrichtung des Motors durch das Vertauschen zweier Phasen des Anschlußstekkers geändert werden. Die richtige Drehrichtung des Motors ist durch einen Pfeil
auf der Lüftungsabdeckung des Motors
markiert.
First, install the filter element supplied in the
consignment in the OF5C (cf. 8.1 Changing the
Filter Elements below).
Determine the sense of rotation of the electric
motor via jogging mode. If necessary, reverse
the sense of direction of the electric motor by
exchanging the two phases (conductors) of the
connecting plug. The right sense of rotation of
the motor is indicated by an arrow on the ventilation covering of the motor.
7.1 Hydraulische Verbindung / Hydraulic Connection
Den Saugschlauch des OF5C in das Reservoir des zu reinigenden Hydrauliksystems eintauchen.

Also immerse the pressure hose of the OF5C
in the reservoir of the hydraulic system to be
cleaned. Make sure that the distance between
the immersed hoses is as large as possible.
7.2 Volumenstromregelung / Regulation of the volumetric flow
Den Volumenstromregler an der Front

durch wird die Meßstrecke nach
einschalten des Filteraggregates sofort
gespült. Nach kurzer Spüldauer kann
nun ein Meßvolumenstrom zwischen 50
und 150 ml/min eingestellt werden.
Turn the volumetric flow control on the front of
the FCU 2010/2110/2210 all the way in a
clockwise direction until it will go further. This
causes the working section (measurement
section) to be flushed immediately upon the
filter assembly beeing swiched on. After a brief
period of flushing a measurement volumetric
flow rate of between 50 and 150 ml/min can
now be set.
7.3 Elektrischer Anschluß / Electrical Connection
Den Anschlußstecker des OF5C in Elektroanschlußdose einstecken.
ACHTUNG: Korrekte Anschlußspannung und lokale elektrische Vorschriften beachten (siehe auch Typenschild)!
Drehrichtung des Motors überprüfen.
Motor muß ensprechend dem Markierungspfeil auf dem Lüftergehäuse in
Richtung des Uhrzeigersinns drehen!
Das Ein- und Ausschalten des Gerätes
erfolgt mit dem Hauptschalter des Aggregats.
Den Hauptschalter am Steuerungskasten
des OF5C auf Stellung "I" stellen und
die OK / Start Taste des

main switch of the unit.
Set the main switch on the control box to the
„I“ position and push the OK / Start button of
the FCU. The pump now begins to run and

should be switched off and the pump should be

Wird bei dem Ansaugprozeß der Kondi
tioniereinheit KE 1310 Luft mit angesaugt, muß diese um ein Verfälschen
der Meßergebnisse zu vermeiden,
zuerst abgegeben werden. Es kann
dann einige Minuten dauern bis die Luft
aus dem System gebracht wurde und
sich der Volumenstrom stabilisiert hat.

Control Unit zur Regelung des Filterag
gregats zur Verfügung stehen, vergleic

When switching on the OF5C at the main
switch on the control box, The FCU
2010/2110/2210 is switched on at the same
time. The following arrears in the display of the
FCU 2010/2110/2210 after a brief period of
time:
Start measurement -> OK/Start
Stop measurement -> Stop

2010/2110/2210. The measurement volumetric
flow rate is shown in the display, now „Finetuning“ has to be done at the volumetric flow
control (in the normal case) to approx. 100 +/50 ml/min
If air is also being sucked in during the extraction action of the KE 1310 conditioning unit
this first has to be vented off in order to prevent
the measurement results from being skewed. It
may take several minutes for the air to be
evacuated from the system and the volumetric
flow to stabilise.

on the special control menus offered by the
fluid control unit for controlling the filter assembly.

Bei einem separaten Betreiben der
FCU 2010/2110/2210 soll an dieser
Stelle darauf hingewiesen werden, das
ein Akkubetrieb ohne weiteres nicht
möglich ist. Die FCU 2010/2110/2210
kann als separates Gerät nur mit
Netzanschlußkabel betrieben werden.
Sollte für eine Anwendung der FCU
2010/2110/2210 kein Betrieb mit
Netzanschlußkabel möglich sein, so
muß der Anwender die Stromversorgung der FCU 2010 - mit denen im Gerät befindlichen Batterien wieder herstellen. Die Anleitung zur Installa-tion
teilen wir Ihnen auf Anfrage mit
8. WARTUNG UND PFLEGE
MAINTENANCE AND SERVICING
It should be born in mind that, when operating the FCU 2010/2110/2210 separately,
battery operation is not possible. The FCU
2010/2110/2210 cannot be operated as a
separate unit unless it is operated using a
power supply cable.
If operating the FCU 2010/2110/2210 using a
power supply cable is not possible in a particular situation, then the FCU
2010/2110/2210 has to be retrofitted to enable battery operation.
Retrofitting instructions are available on
request.
Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsaufgaben
sollten grundsätzlich von geschultem
Personal ausgeführt werden. Das OF 5 C
ist vor Beginn der Wartungs- und Instandhaltungsarbeiten vom elektri-schen
Versorgungsnetz zu trennen und muß in
druckfreiem Zustand sein. (vergl. Staudruckmanometer oben am Filtergehäuse)
Im Sauganschluß des OF 5 C ist zum
Schutz der Pumpe vor groben
Verunreinigungen ein Filtersieb
eingebaut. Von Zeit zu Zeit sollte die
saugseitige Verschraubung gelöst das
Filter überprüft und bei Verschmutzung
herausgenommen und gereinigt werden.
Diese Kontrolle muß bei mangelnder
Saug- oder Förderleistung sofort erfolgen! Achtung, das OF 5 C niemals
ohne Saugsieb betreiben: Dies kann
zu Beschädigungen an der Pumpe
führen!
Maintenance and servicing work should only
be done by properly trained and instructed
personnel. Prior to commencing any maintenance or servicing work, the OF5C is to be
disconnected from the power supply and depressurised (c.f. back pressure gauge at the
top in the filter housing).
A filter strainer is integrated in the suction hose
of the OF5C to protect the pump against
coarse contaminants (Clogging). From time to
time the screwed fitting on the suction side
should be undone, the strainer checked, and
removed and cleaned if need be.
This is to be done immediately in the event
of deficient suction or delivery action!
Warning: never operate the OF5C without a
suction strainer as the pump may be damaged.

8.1 FILTERELEMENTWECHSEL
CHANGING THE FILTER ELEMENTS
ACHTUNG! / WARNING!
Filterelementwechsel nur bei ausge
schaltetem Gerät durchführen.
Der Filtertopf muß druckentlastet sein,
d.h. das im Filterdeckel eingebaute Manometer muß '0 bar' anzeigen. Sollte
dies nicht der Fall sein, ist durch Öffnen
der Entlüftungsschraube im Filtergehäusedeckel der Druck abzubauen.
Je nach Verrohrung des Aggregats, kann
sich noch eine Restölmenge im Filtertopf
befinden, diese kann über die Entleerungsschraube des Filtertopfes abgelassen werden.
Zum Filterelementwechsel ist kein Werkzeug erforderlich. Es werden lediglich die
4 Sterngriffe am Deckel gelöst und die
Augenschrauben nach unten geklappt,
wodurch der Deckel vom Filtergehäuse
nach oben angehoben wird und dann
von Hand abgehoben werden kann.
Jetzt kann das Filter Element von der
Aufnahme abgezogen werden.
Anschließend wird das neue Filterelement unter leichtem Drehen auf die Fil-
teraufnahme gedrückt. Es empfiehlt
sich dabei, den O-Ring des Filterelementes in der Aufnahmebohrung mit Öl
oder Fett einzureiben, dies erleichtert die
Montage des Elementes.
Den Filterdeckel aufsetzen, Sterngriffe
nach oben klappen und durch gleichmäßiges Anziehen den Filterdeckel auf
dem Filtergehäuse befestigen.
Before changing the filter element, disconnect the unit from the power supply.
The filter housing has to be depressurized, i.e.
the pressure gauge integrated in the filter
cover
plate has to show „0 bar“. If this is not the
case,
pressure is to be relieved by loosening
the vent screw in the filter housing cover. Depending on the tubing of the filter assembly,
there may be an oil remainder in the filter
housing, which can be drained via the drain
screw at the bottom of the filter housing.
No tools are necessary when changing the
filter element. Simply undo the four star knobs
on the cover and flip down the eye bolts, in so
doing lifting off by hand.
Now the filter element can be pulled Off of the
mount.
This is followed by pressing the new filter element on to the filter mount by turning it slightly.
In so doing, it is advisable to rub oil or grease
into the O-ring of the filter element in the
mounting hole as this facilitates installation of
the filter element.
Replace the filter cover plate, flip the star
knobs up and secure the filter cover plate to
the filter housing by tightening the knobs
evenly.

DECOMMISSIONING AND DISPOSAL
Bei der Außerbetriebnahme und/oder Entsorgung des OF 5 C oder einer dazugehörenden
Einzelbaugruppe (FCU 2010/2110/2210,
Konditionierpumpe KE 1310 etc.) müssen alle
lokalen Richtlinien und Auflagen der Arbeitssicherheit und des Schutzes der Umwelt berücksichtigt werden. Insbesondere gilt dies
für das im Aggregat befindliche Öl, und ölverschmierte Teile des OF 5 C.
