Installation
LOCATION
When sel ectin g a positio n for your uni t you should ma ke sure th e floor i s flat an d fir m and the room is wel l ventilat ed. Avoid loc ating you r unit near a h eat sour ce, e.g. coo ker, boiler or radiat or. Also avoid dir ect sun light as th is may incre ase the el ectr ical consu mption. LEVELLING THE UNIT
To do this adjus t the levelli ng feet at th e front of th e unit. I f the unit i s not level, t he door and m agnetic seals will n ot be aligned p roper ly. Ensure th at the feet to uch the ground befo re use. Look ing down f rom the to p, adjust t he levellin g feet by turni ng them cloc kwise o r anticloc kwise .
CLEANING BEFORE USE
Wipe the i nside of the u nit wit h a weak solu tion of bic arbona te soda, t hen rins e with wa rm water us ing a wrun g-out s ponge or clot h. Wash the b askets i n warm so apy water a nd dry complete ly before r eplacing i n the unit . Clean t he exte rior of th e unit wi th a damp clot h. If you requir e more info rmatio n refer to th e Cleanin g sectio n.
BEFORE USING YOUR UNIT
This fre ezer is int ended for the stor age of frozen fo od. Food sho uld be consu med with in the shelf time. Do not dama ge the power co rd under a ny conditi on so as to ens ure safet y use. Do n ot use when the p ower cord is d amaged or t he plug is wor n. Do not put f lamma ble, ex plosive, v olatile or h ighly cor rosive it ems in the fr eezer to p revent damage to t he produ ct or ris k of fir e. Do not place f lamma ble item s near the f reezer to av oid risk of f ire. This pro duct is a househol d freezer and sha ll be suit able only fo r the stor age of foods. Accord ing to nation al stan dards , househol d freeze rs shall n ot be used for ot her pur poses, su ch as sto rage of blood, d rugs or bi ological p roduc ts. To prevent bur sts an d other los ses, do not p lace items s uch as bot tled or se aled cont ainer s of fluid s uch as bot tled be ers and b everage s in the fre ezer. Before p lacing any food i n your unit , turn i t on and wai t for 24 hours , to make sur e it is wor king proper ly and to al low it time t o fall to the cor rec t temper ature . Your unit shou ld not be overfill ed.

Operation
SWITCHING ON YOUR UNIT
When tur ning on t he freeze r, the display pan el illumi nates for th ree secon ds. The ap pliance wi ll then ent er norma l display mo de. The de fault se t temper ature is -18°C .
LOCKING AND UNLOCKING
To prevent tam pering, you may lock t he contro l panel.
• To lock, pr ess the Temper ature C ontrol Ke y and the Qui ck Freeze K ey simult aneousl y for three s econds. T he display w ill fla sh for sever al second s then ente r norma l display. The control p anel will n ow be locked .

• To unlock the con trol pan el, pres s the Tempera ture Con trol Key an d the Quick Fr eeze Key simult aneous ly for thre e seconds . The contr ol panel w ill now be unlo cked and the temper ature c an be adjus ted.
CONVERT DISPLAY FROM FAHRENHEIT TO CELSIUS
To switch the di splay from F ahrenh eit to Cel sius and vi ce versa , press t he Temperatu re Cont rol Key for three seconds.
SETTING THE TEMPER ATURE
Ensure t he contro l panel is unl ocked (see a bove). In free zer mode, p ress the Tempe ratur e Contr ol Key to change t he set tem perat ure. For e ach press of t he Key, the set tem perat ure will FAL L by 1°C. When t he Temperat ure Disp lay shows
-24°C, pres sing the Temper ature C ontrol Ke y again wil l conver t the free zer into a r efriger ator
and the Temper ature D isplay wil l show 1°C. In r efriger ator mod e, each pr ess of the Temperatu re Contr ol Key will I NCRE ASE the se t temper ature by 1°C . Temperatu re adjus tment m ode in Celsi us is as follow s:
QUICK FREEZE MODE
• To enter Qui ck Freeze m ode, pre ss the Quic k Freeze Key. Th e Quick Fre eze lamp wi ll illuminate.
• To exit Quic k Freeze mo de, pre ss the Quic k Freeze Key a gain. Th e Quick Fre eze lamp wi ll extinguish .
IMPORTANT NOTES:
• When the con tinuous r unning t ime in Quic k Freeze mo de reache s 24 hours , Quick Fre eze mode will a utomat ically ex it.
• “-24” will appea r in the Temper ature D isplay and th e compres sor will r un continu ously.

CLEANING THE INTERIOR & EXTERIOR OF THE UNIT
Turn the uni t off. Remove all co ntents f rom the fr eezer and stor e it prope rly to pr event food be coming defroste d.
• Wipe t he inside of t he unit an d the baske ts wit h a weak solu tion of bica rbona te soda, t hen rinse wi th war m water us ing a damp sp onge or cloth . Wipe comp letely dr y and en sure the freeze r has rea ched a safe te mperat ure for th e stora ge of frozen foo d before re turnin g the contents.
• Use a d amp cloth t o clean the e xter ior, then wip e with a st andar d furni ture pol ish. Make s ure that the d oor is closed t o avoid get ting polis h onto the ma gnetic do or seal or ins ide the un it.
• The gr ille of the con denser at t he back of the u nit and t he adjacent co mponen ts should b e vacuume d using a sof t brus h attac hment . This will ai d
DEFROSTING
Turn the uni t off. Remove all co ntents f rom the fr eezer and stor e it prope rly to pr event food be coming defroste d. Leave the to p lid open. R emove the pl ug from th e draina ge hole at th e front of th e freezer and place a cont ainer und ernea th it to dr ain off th e melt wat er. Check reg ularly t o prevent t he container overf lowing. You can use the am bient tem perat ure for nat ural def rost . Only use a pl astic o r wooden ice shovel to avoi d damage to t he liner or d rain pip e. Never us e metal or s harp tools to clear ice . You may also use an ap propr iate amoun t of hot wate r to speed up t he defros t. Use a cle an towel to dr y the wat er afte r defros ting. After d efros ting, re turn th e foods to the u nit and tur n it on.
Maintenance
CARE WHEN HANDLING/MOVING THE UNIT
Do to its we ight, t ake grea t care wh en moving th e unit. U nder no cir cumst ances shou ld it be lifte d by holding t he top lid.

SWITCHING OFF FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME
When th e unit is not in u se for a long pe riod, di sconnec t it from t he power sup ply, empty a ll food and cle an the app liance. Le aving the do or ajar wil l help to pre vent the bu ild-up of unpleasant odours.

Tips for energy saving
• Try not to ope n the lid too of ten, e speciall y when the we ather is h umid and hot . If you ope n the door, close i t as soon a s possible .
• Ensu re the app liance ha s suff icientl y ventila tion, incl uding ade quate air ci rculati on behind t he appliance.
• Before lo ading the a ppliance w ith fre sh food, ens ure it is coo led to room t emper ature.
• A bui ld-up of ice a nd fros t will incre ase ene rgy cons umption , so clean th e applian ce as soon as the laye r is 3-5 mm th ick.
• If the uni t has an ex tern al condens er, the back wal l should be cl ean and fr ee of dust o r dirt .
• Th e appliance s hould be lo cated in th e coolest a rea of the r oom, away fr om heat pr oducing applian ces or heati ng duct s, and ou t of direc t sunligh t.
• Allow h ot foods to cool t o room tem peratu re befor e placing in th e applian ce. Over loading the appli ance forces t he compre ssor to ru n longer. Foods t hat free ze too slowl y may lose qualit y, or spoil.
• B e sure to wr ap foods pr operl y, and wipe cont ainer s dry bef ore placin g them in th e appliance . This cut s down on fr ost buil d-up insi de the app liance.
• Or ganise an d label food t o reduce op enings. R emove only a s many ite ms as need ed at any one time , and close th e door as so on as possi ble.
Disposal

Up to da te inform ation conce rning options of d isposing of yo ur old unit a nd packaging from t he new one ca n be obtai ned from yo ur local coun cil off ice. Solution
• Check tha t the uni t is plugge d in and swi tched on .
• Check for pow er failur e, low volt age, or t ripped circuit breake r.
• Strong-smelling f oods shoul d be wrap ped closel y.
• Check if foo ds are ou t of date or mou ldy.
• Clean th e interi or

• Do not load th e freeze r with too m uch fres h content s at one tim e.
