be placed in general waste.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
THIS APPLIANCE MUST BE PLUGGED INTO AN EARTHED SOCKET.
• Before switching on, make sure that the voltage of your electricity supply is the same
as that on the rating plate. This appliance is designed to operate on 220~240V AC;
50Hz. Connection to any other power source may damage the appliance
• This appliance may be fitted with a non-rewireable plug. If it is necessary to change
the fuse in the plug, the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover is lost or
damaged, the plug must not be used until a suitable replacement is found
• If the plug has to be changed, because it not suitable for your socket or becomes
damaged in any way, it should be replaced by a qualified electrician. The plug removed
must be disposed of safely as insertion into a 13 Amp socket could cause an electrical
hazard
• Always remember to unplug your appliance before cleaning.
HOW TO MINIMISE THE ENERGY CONSUMPTION OF YOUR
HUSKY APPLIANCE
• Energy consumption will be lower if the appliance stands in a well ventilated space and
in particular if the vent at the back of the appliance is clear of obstruction
• Do not place the appliance in direct sunlight or near a heat source such as ovens,
radiators, heaters, etc as this will increase energy consumption
• Keep the door closed as much as possible
• Setting the thermostat cooler (towards the highest number on the dial) means higher
energy consumption, so set only as cool as you really require
• Do not overfill the appliance - overfilling means the cool air cannot circulate freely inside
the cabinet which may slow the process of cooling and make the cabinet less efficient
• Defrost the appliance if frost can be seen building up inside - frost will increase energy
consumption and make the cooling process slower (see section ‘Defrosting’)
• Turn the appliance off completely if it is not required for a period of days or longer to
avoid wasting energy (see also section ‘When not in use’).

TO O PE RAT E
• When the appliance has been positioned, adjust the feet to ensure the unit is stable.
This is essential to ensure quiet running and proper door opening/closing
• Ensure that the appliance is not connected to the power and clean the interior
compartment following the instructions on page 13
• Remove all transportation tapes
• CONNECT TO THE ELECTRICAL SOCKET BUT DO NOT SWITCH ON THE POWER FOR AT LEAST 6 HOURS. The coolant within the product
needs time to settle after it has been transported and put in to position. Failure to do
this will affect the cooling performance of your appliance
• Follow the instructions below to adjust the thermostat to the required temperature.
Leaving the thermostat at 0 will mean that the appliance will not start operating
• There may be an odour when you first switch on the appliance, it will disappear as it
starts to cool
• The following sounds are perfectly normal:
• Faint gurgling or bubbling sounds as the refrigerant is pumped to the cooling
• A slight whirring or pulsating noise as the compressor is working
• A slight click as the thermostat cycles in and out and controls the compressor
• Low noise, high efficiency fans are fitted on all relevant units, please note however
• After the appliance has been unplugged, leave for three minutes before plugging it in
system
that some level of noise is unavoidable. Please be assured that we take every step
to keep this to a minimum
again.
TEMPERATURE SELECTION
The thermostat situated on the back (inside for undercounter models) of your appliance
controls the temperature within the appliance. This can be rotated left or right to regulate the
temperature.
On the thermostat, 1 is the warmest setting and 5 on countertop or 7 on undercounter models
is the coldest.
The thermostat should be adjusted according to the amount of product in the appliance and
the ambient temperature. The guide for setting the thermostat is as follows:
Winter — Setting 1-2
Spring and Autumn — Setting 2-4
Summer — Setting 4-5 (Countertop); 6-7 (Undercounter)
Once the temperature control has been set, close the door. Do not open the door again for
a minimum of 4 hours to allow the appliance to reach the required temperature.
WARNING: If the thermostat is set to too cold a setting, beverages may become frozen. In
extreme circumstances, glass bottles may even break. Always exercise caution when setting the
temperature.
