Important Safety Instructions: Read all instructions before using this humidier.

WARNING: This humidier emits UV radiation that may cause eye and/or skin irritation. RG-3. Avoid exposing eyes and skin to

unshielded UVC Lamp. Caution: The UVC Lamp may shatter and cause injury if it is dropped or sustains impact. Wear safety glasses and gloves when handling

the UVC Lamp. Do not use excessive force when handling the UVC Lamp. Dispose of the UVC bulb in accordance with local or State guidelines as trace amounts of Mercury are present.

• This humidier may not work properly on an uneven surface. ALWAYS place this humidier on a rm, level, and water resistant surface. ALWAYS place the humidier at least six (6) inches away from walls and heat sources such as stoves, radiators, or heaters.

• ALWAYS place the humidier in an area that is out of the reach of children.

• Before using the humidier, extend the cord and inspect for any signs of damage. DO NOT use the product if the cord has been damaged.

• This product has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) as a safety feature. This plug will t into a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not t fully into the outlet, reverse the plug. If it still does not t, contact a qualied electrician. DO NOT attempt to defeat or override this safety feature.

• ALWAYS UNPLUG AND EMPTY the humidier when it is not in operation or while it is being cleaned.

• Never move the humidier while there is water in the tank. DO NOT tilt or move the humidier while it is in operation. Empty the water tank, turn off, and unplug the unit before moving.

• In addition to routine maintenance which may be required, this humidier requires seasonal cleaning. Refer to and follow “Cleaning and Storage” on page 7.

• Thank you for purchasing The Care Free® Humidier Evaporative Humidier by Hunter Fan Company. Please read and save these instructions to receive the maximum benet and performance from your humidier.

• Never ll the humidier tank with hot water. Always use clean, cool tap water.

The Hunter® Evaporative Humidier has a unique patented design with several innovative features:

• Low Maintenance – Our paper wicks are designed to last one full humidifer season.

• Regulated Release™ System – By dispersing water from the top of the wick, stagnant water around the wick is elimnated, and the buildup of mineral residue that can clog the wick and impede performance is eliminated.

• Built-in Antimicrobial Properties – We use Microban of bacteria, mold and fungi that may affect these parts.

NOTE: This product contains antimicrobial properties which are built-in to inhibit the growth of bacteria which may affect the plastic and wick in the humidier. These properties do not extend to the water, humidied air, or users. Conduct routine cleaning and maintenance based upon use and individual conditions.

• No White Dust – The Hunter® Evaporative Humidier produces no white dust that can settle on furniture or be inhaled.

• UVC Lamp - This Hunter Air Purier is equipped with a UVC germicidal lamp. UVC technology is a proven germicide that is accepted by the FDA and EPA as having the ability to kill pathogens in air and water that is exposed to UVC light.
