Overview
The E1 interface module of the AR28 router falls into channelized type (RT-*E1) and
non-channelized type (RT-*E1-F).Where, E1-F indicates fractional E1. The main differences from
the channelized E1 interface module are:
The FE1 working mode supported by the non-channelized E1 interface module can be bound
once (bound as a channel; the rate is n × 64 K, n=1-31). The channelized E1 interface module
can group the 31 channels randomly to realize repeated bindings.

The non-channelized E1 interface module does not support the PRI mode.
Where, the channelized E1 interface module includes four types: 1-port, 2-port, 4-port and 8-port,
indicating 1-port, 2-port, 4-port and 8-port channelized E1/PRI interface modules. The
non-channelized E1 interface module also includes four types: 1-port, 2-port, 4-port and 8-port,
indicating 1-port, 2-port, 4-port and 8-port non-channelized E1 interface cards.
