The Kunpeng acceleration engine of the Kunpeng processors on TaiShan 200 servers performs calculation for MD5 verication, unleashing the maximum computing power of CPUs and dramatically improving the write bandwidth.
The installation of Ceph block storage, object storage, and le storage is adapted to the Huawei­developed openEuler OS. The openEuler content is added to the installation guide.
The Bcache installation and usage guides are provided based on CentOS and openEuler. Bcache is a block layer cache of the Linux kernel. It uses SSDs as the cache of HDDs for acceleration.
The technical white paper brief introduces the Huawei Kunpeng SDS solution and explains the all-
ash, balanced, and cold storage congurations based on TaiShan
200 servers.

The Huawei Kunpeng SDS solution is based on the Kunpeng hardware platform. With Huawei-developed leading processors, NICs, SSDs, management chips, and AI chips and open-source Ceph distributed storage software, Huawei provides customers with an SDS solution covering block storage, storage, and object storage services.

Ceph can be installed and deployed manually or automatically. The automatic deployment is based a Huawei­developed automatic deployment kit. Fill in the parameter table and the system automatically performs the automatic deployment. The manual deployment uses the ceph-deploy or ceph-ansible installation tool. The ceph-ansible tool requires basic knowledge on Ceph and Ansible. The ceph-deploy tool applies to scenarios where block,
le, and object storage
services are deployed separately.
The documents explain how to perform Ceph tuning at the hardware, OS, and software layers, so as to unleash the maximum performance of Ceph on the Kunpeng platform. In addition, they explain how to compile Ceph and Bcache source code to meet
specic tuning requirements.
