Overview
The NE80E/40E provides the flexible plug-in card to enhance networking flexibility and provides low-cost and customized solutions as required. The flexible plug-in card feature is provided by the motherboard (LPUF-20) and the Flexible plugged-in interface card (FPIC).
The LPUF-20 has two slots. Each slot can be inserted with one FPIC. The LPUF-20 supports the intermixing of FPICs of various Ethernet interfaces. Users can flexibly choose the FPICs a s required and replace FPICs on the site instead of replacing the LPUF-20. Thus, the cost of maintaining devices is decreased.
The LPUF-20 supports a maximum of 20G bps bandwidth. It has two types: LPUF-20-A and LPUF-20-B. The LPUF-20-A supports richer software features, including L3VPN, MVPN, and IPv6.
Appearance of LPUF-20-A/B
The LPUF-20 flexible plug-in card provides the function of Ethernet clock synchronization. The clock quality and stratum can thus be guaranteed. In the IP-RAN solution, the IP network runs as the bearer layer between Node-B and RNC. With the function of Ethernet clock synchronization, the problem of clock transmission in the IP network can be solved efficiently.
