Quidway® NetEngine 5000E Core Router
OC-192c/STM-64c POS Optical Interface Boards
Based on the 10G platform, the Quidway® NetEngine 5000E core router (hereinafter referred to as "NE5000E") supports OC-192c/STM-64c POS optical interface boards with different port densities that can be installed in any service slot of the NE5000E. Having 16 service slots and supporting multi-chassis cascading, the NE5000E is scalable to provide high-density OC-192c/STM-64c POS interfaces, fully satisfying super core node requirements of IP backbone networks. The NE5000E has a switching capacity of 2.56 Tbps, achieving wire-speed forwarding performance on high-density 10G POS interfaces.
CR52K-2xPOS/STM64-XFP
The OC-192c/STM-64c POS optical interface board implements POS frame encapsulation/ decapsulation of data flows and SDH/SONET mapping/demapping of POS frames, provides 10-Gbps external optical interfaces, and enables such functions as loopback, environment monitoring and information query.
The NE5000E provides 1-port and 2-port OC-192c/STM-64c POS optical interface boards. The 1-port board uses fixed XFP optical modules, and the 2-port board uses pluggable XFP optical modules. Before networking, you must first choose between 1-port and 2-port 10G optical interface boards based on network requirements, and then choose between pluggable XFP optical modules and fixed optical modules for the board based on transmission distance req uirements.

Specifications
Currently, the NE5000E supports three types of OC-192c/STM-64c POS optical interface boards. Among them, one uses pluggable XFP optical modules (2-port), and the other two use fixed optical modules (1-port). The specifications are listed below:

1-port 10G POS optical interface board: The center wavelength is 1550 nm, and the maximum transmission distance is 40 km.
