Countless amounts of confidential information is stored on our computers, USB sticks, magnetic tapes, CDs, DVDs and Blu-ray discs, credit cards and customer cards as well as disks. But what happens to these storage devices when they are no longer required? Many are disposed of carelessly;
offered for sale at car boot sales or sold on eBay, the data allegedly being deleted using conventional wiping routines. This is an open invation for the date to be misused; it is extremely easy to restore and retrieve confidential data.

The HSM Powerline HDS 230 hard drive shredder is extremely easy and safe to operate. With the assistance of the HS D, obsolete hard drives, magnetic and optical media are shredded at an extremely high throughput.

• Risk on resale: Conventional software deleting routines does
not destroy the information stored on these is also handed over! Conventional software deleting routines may not destroy the information stored!
• Risk on changing locations: Outdated CDs, USB sticks or
magnetic tapes are left behind. Ensure that these are properly shredded!
• Risk of a lapse in security: When the task of shredding hard
drives is left to service providers, security leaks can occur. How can you be sure that your data has been destroyed? We will give you some advice on how you can be sure of this.
