Overview 7
All elements of the HP Server Management Packs are copied to the Operations Manager database. These
elements include:
• Classes and Attributes
• Discoveries
• Monitors
• Rules
• Tasks
• Views
The HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service uses the user-defined information entered through the HP
BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Manager to connect and monitor enclosures. If the connection succeeds,
the HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitoring Service continues to monitor the enclosure for inventory, health
state, and events.
After HP BladeSystem Management Pack is installed, the Operations Manager server transfers the HP
BladeSystem Management Pack to the Operations Manager Agent managed by the Operations Manager
server. The management pack discovers the HP BladeSystem Enclosure Monitor Service and monitoring
enclosure information.
After the management pack discovery and monitor process, you can view HP BladeSystem c-Class
enclosure information using the Operations Manager console. The discovered inventory data and
monitored state are reflected on the state and diagram views.
