Sending a Fax Using a Calling Card (Monitor Dialing)
You can also dial the fax machine as you would a regular phone. Use this method when you need to hear a second dial tone (as when using a calling card), or if the normal dialing method does not work.

Receiving Faxes
Depending on how you set up your HP Fax, you will either receive faxes automati cally or you will need to receive faxes manually.
If you change your office equipment setup, be sure t o update your fa x settings (such as Rings to Answer) or you may not receive faxes properly.
Read Chapter 2 to set up your HP Fax for receiving faxes.

You dial a phone number and press buttons on your pho ne in order to hear your phone messages on your telephone.
