Your new thermostat is pre-programmed and ready to go. All you have to
do is set the time and day. Then check the settings below and change if
needed:

Fan setting

to select fan operation:
• On: Fan is always on.
• Auto: Fan runs only when the heating
or cooling system is on.
• Circ: Fan runs randomly, about 35%
of the time. Use this setting for
improved air circulation, or for more
efficient air cleaning, if you do not
want the fan to run all the time.
You can press
FFAANN
at any time to override
the fan settings you’ve programmed for
different time periods (see page 11). If
you select On or Circ, the setting you
select will remain active until you press

again to select Auto.

It’s easy to program your system for maximum energy savings. You can
program four time periods each day, with different settings for weekdays
and weekends.

Vacation hold
This feature can suspend the program
schedule for extended periods of time.
Press or to set the temperature you
want, then press or to set the time
of day you want the schedule to resume
when you return. Press

Special features
Auto Changeover: When set to Auto, the thermostat automatically selects
heating or cooling depending on the indoor temperature.
Adaptive Intelligent Recovery: This feature allows the thermostat to
“learn” how long the furnace and air conditioner take to reach programmed
temperature settings, so the temperature is reached at the time you set.
For example: Set the Wake time to 6 am, and the temperature to 70°. The
heat will come on before 6 am, so the temperature is 70° by the time you
wake at 6. The message “Recovery” is displayed when the system is
activated before a scheduled time period.
Compressor Protection: This feature forces the compressor to wait a few
minutes before restarting, to prevent equipment damage. During the wait
time, the message “Wait” is displayed on screen.

Screen lock
To prevent tampering, the screen can be
partially or fully locked.
When partially locked, the screen
displays

summer humidity.
The thermostat monitors humidity. When
humidity increases, the thermostat runs the
air conditioner longer to reduce humidity
(up to 3°F below your cooling temperature
setting).

Battery replacement
Batteries are optional (to provide backup
power) if your thermostat was wired to
run on AC power when installed.
Install fresh batteries immediately when
the

warning begins flashing. The
warning flashes about 30 days before
batteries are depleted.
Even if the warning does not appear, you
should replace batteries once a year, or
before leaving home for more than a

In case of difficulty
If you have difficulty with your thermostat, please try the suggestions below.
Most problems can be corrected quickly and easily.
Display is blank • Check circuit breaker and reset if necessary.
• Make sure power switch at heating & cooling system is on.
• Make sure furnace door is closed securely.
• If thermostat is battery powered, make sure fresh AAA alkaline batteries
are correctly installed (see page 20).
No response to

• Check to make sure the thermostat is not locked (see page 25).
Make sure heating and cooling temperatures are set to acceptable ranges:
• Heat: 40° to 90°F (4.5° to 32°C).
• Cool: 50° to 99°F (10° to 37°C).
Backlight is dim • If thermostat is battery powered, make sure fresh AAA alkaline batteries
are correctly installed (see page 20).
• If thermostat is AC powered, a dim display is normal. The backlight
remains on at a low level, and brightens when a key is pressed.

Optional remote sensors (select models)
If an outdoor sensor is installed, the current outdoor temperature is displayed.
If an indoor remote sensor is installed,
the display shows the indoor temperature at the location of the sensor. (The
internal sensor in the thermostat is
disabled.)

of temperature readings from all sensors.

Honeywell warrants this product, excluding battery, to be free from defects in the workmanship or materials, under normal use
and service, for a period of five (5) years from the date of purchase by the consumer. If at any time during the warranty period
the product is determined to be defective or malfunctions, Honeywell shall repair or replace it (at Honeywell's option).
If the product is defective,
(i) return it, with a bill of sale or other dated proof of purchase, to the place from which you purchased it; or
(ii) call Honeywell Customer Care at 1-800-468-1502. Customer Care will make the determination whether the product should

55422, or whether a replacement product can be sent to you.
This warranty does not cover removal or reinstallation costs. This warranty shall not apply if it is shown by Honeywell that the

¡Felicitaciones! Usted acaba de comprar el termostato más avanzado y más fácil de
usar en todo el mundo. Ha sido diseñado para brindarle muchos años de servicio
confiable y control del clima con sólo tocar la pantalla.
Funciones
• Horarios programables de 7 días para una máxima comodidad y economía
• Programación desde su sillón: Sólo retire el termostato de la pared para ajustar los horarios.

Funciones especiales
Cambio automático: Cuando el sistema se fija en Auto, el termostato selecciona
automáticamente calefacción o refrigeración de acuerdo a la temperatura del interior.
Adaptive Intelligent Recovery: Permite que el termostato “aprenda” cuánto
tiempo les lleva a la estufa y al acondicionador de aire alcanzar la temperatura
programada, de modo que se alcance la temperatura a la hora fijada. Por ejemplo,
fije la hora de levantarse a las 6 AM y la temperatura a 70°. La calefacción se
encenderá antes de las 6 AM, para que la temperatura alcance los 70º cuando usted
se despierte a las 6. El mensaje “Recovery” aparecerá en pantalla cuando el
sistema se active antes del horario del período fijado.
Protección del compresor: Esta función fuerza al compresor a esperar unos
minutos antes de volver a encenderse, para prevenir daños. Durante el tiempo de
espera, el mensaje “Wait" titila en la pantalla.

Asegúrese de que las temperaturas de calefacción y refrigeración se fijen
en los rangos adecuados:
• Heat: 40° a 90°F (4.5° a 32°C).
• Cool: 50° a 99°F (10° a 37°C).
La iluminación
posterior es
muy débil

• Si el termostato se alimenta con CA, es normal que la luz de la pantalla
sea débil. La iluminación posterior permanece en un nivel bajo y se
intensifica cuando se oprime una tecla.

No responde el
sistema de
calefacción o
de refrigeración
• Oprima
SSYYSSTTEEMM
para fijar en sistema en Calefacción. Asegúrese de que
la temperatura de ajuste sea mayor que la temperatura interior.
• Oprima
SSYYSSTTEEMM
para fijar en sistema en Refrigeración. Asegúrese de que
la temperatura de ajuste sea menor que la temperatura interior.
• Verifique el disyuntor y reinicie si es necesario.
• Asegúrese de que esté encendido el interruptor del sistema de
calefacción y refrigeración.
• Asegúrese de que esté bien cerrada la puerta de la estufa.
• Si “Wait” aparece en pantalla, el temporizador de protección del
compresor está funcionando. Aguarde 5 minutos a que el sistema se
reinicie de modo seguro, sin dañar el compresor (ver página 15).

Sensores remotos opcionales (modelos seleccionados)
Si hay un sensor exterior instalado, se
muestra la temperatura exterior actual.
Si hay un sensor remoto interior instalado, la
pantalla muestra la temperatura interior en la
ubicación del sensor. (El sensor interno del
termostato está desactivado)
Si hay más de un sensor interno instalado, la
pantalla muestra un promedio de las lecturas
de temperatura de todos los sensores.

Honeywell garantiza que, a excepción de la batería y en condiciones de uso y servicio normales, este producto no tendrá
defectos de fabricación ni de materiales durante cinco (5) años a partir de la fecha de compra por parte del consumidor. Si
durante ese período de garantía, el producto resulta defectuoso o tiene problemas de funcionamiento, Honeywell lo reparará o
reemplazará (a criterio de Honeywell).
Si el producto es defectuoso:
(i) devuélvalo, acompañado de la factura u otra prueba de compra con fecha, al lugar donde lo adquirió; o
(ii) llame al numéro de atención al cliente de Honeywell al 1-800-468-1502. Atención al cliente determinará si el producto se
