1 Installing the HTR1
Note Make sure you have everything you need before you
begin the installation.
1. Choose a location and mounting option that provides convenient access for installing and removing the VCR tape. Ensure that the location you choose conforms with local regulatory guidelines.

2. Mount the VCR enclosure base to mounting surface.

q Secure base with fou r #10 x 3/4 in. sheet metal mounting screws.

3. Connect the wiring harness to the electrical system.
4. Complete installation.

2 Programming the VCR
1. Install the two AAA/UM4 (size E92) batteries (supplied) into the remote control.
2. Remove or open access panel on enclosure cover.
3. Plug RCA cable into VIDEO OUT jack on front of VCR. Plug other end into VIDEO IN jack of a portable monitor.
Start vehicle. Press MENU on the remote control to enter the Program mode. To apply temporary power to program the VCR without turning the bus ignition on, use the VCR POWER button.

4. Press MENU to exit Program mode, then POWER on front of VCR
to start recording.
3 Daily operation
Legend: Status Indicators Daily Timers
= Parameter is enabled = Parameter is disabled
BRK
= Input enabled; system will display
= Display is active when input is 12 volts O R
= Unit does not switch camera inputs.
= Unit switches inputs (e.g., to Stop Arm camera)
Note Make sure all timers are disabled ( ) if not used.
= Display is active when input is grounded
