IMPORTANT GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
and use of extension cords
The compact refrigerator must be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This appliance is equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded. If the outlet is a standard 2prong wall outlet, it is your personal responsibility and obligation to have it replaced with a properly grounded 3-prong wall outlet. Do not under any
circumstances cut or remove the third (ground) prong from the power cord.
WARNING-Improper use of grounding can result in a risk of electric shock.
Consult a qualified electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not completely understood, or if doubt exists as to whether the appliance is properly grounded and either:
1. If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a 3-wire extension cord that has a 3-prong grounding plug, and a 3-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the appliance. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord shall be equal to or greater than the rating of the appliance, or
2. If the power supply cord is too short, have a qualified electrician or serviceman install an outlet near the appliance.
