DRUM AND CONNECTOR KIT
FOR CLUTCH MODEL STRING TRIMMERS
DISCONNECT SPARK PLUG BEFORE
PERFORMING MAINTENANCE, ADJUSTMENT, LUBRICATION AND STORAGE.
NOTE
Some units may require the addition of the flat washer supplied in kit. If your
unit is already equipped with a washer under the clutch adaptor or has a vented
tube adaptor, your unit will not need this washer. The washer is provided to
properly space the drum away fr om the engine housing.

ADAPTOR
To install new drum and connector:
1. Remov e tube adaptor from the engine housing.
2. Remov e old drum and connector and replace it with the ne w one from kit.
3. Remove clutches and flat washer from the clutch adaptor.
4. Remove engine housing.
5. Remove clutch adaptor from the crankshaft.
6. If needed, install new flat w asher between clutch adaptor and rotor.
7. Re v erse procedure to reassemb le .
NOTE
When reinstalling the clutch adaptor onto the crankshaft, use a
thread-locking agent on threads and torque adaptor to 100-150
in. lbs. (11, 3-16, 9 Nm). This will prevent the adaptor from
coming loose when the clutches are removed.
