Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil der Maschine und darf nicht entfernt werden. Bewahren Sie sie für spätere Zwecke auf und legen Sie diese Anleitung der Maschine bei, wenn sie an Dritte weitergegeben wird!

5 SICHERHEIT

5.1 Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung

Die Maschine nur in technisch einwandfreiem Zustand sowie bestimmungsgemäß, sicherheits- und gefahrenbewusst benutzen! Störungen, welche die Sicherheit beeinträchtigen können, umgehend beseitigen lassen!

Es ist generell untersagt, sicherheitstechnische Ausrüstungen der Maschine zu ändern oder unwirksam zu machen!

5.2 Arbeitsbedingungen

Die Maschine ist für die Arbeit unter folgenden Bedingungen bestimmt:

Relative Luftfeuchtigkeit

Betriebstemperatur von +5°С bis +40°С max. Höhe über dem Meeresspiegel 1000m min. Beleuchtung 500 Lux

Die Maschine ist nicht für den Betrieb im Freien bestimmt. Die Maschine ist nicht für den Betrieb in einer Umgebung bestimmt, die elektromagnetisch be-

lastet ist ("Elektrosmog"). Die Maschine ist nicht für den Betrieb in einer Arbeitsumgebung mit Gasen, Dämpfen u.a. be-

stimmt, welche die Isolierung der elektronischen Komponenten angreifen, korrodieren oder zerstören könnten.

Die Maschine ist nicht für den Betrieb unter explosionsgefährlichen Bedingungen bestimmt. Die Maschine ist nicht für den Betrieb in einer Arbeitsumgebung bestimmt, in der regelmäßig

Vibrationen auftreten, da diese die Leistungsfähigkeit, Arbeitsgenauigkeit und Lebensdauer der Maschine vermindern.

Die Bearbeitung von entzündbaren und explosiven Materialien ist verboten (z.B. reines Aluminium, Magnesium etc.).

5.3 Unzulässige Verwendung

• Der Betrieb der Maschine unter Bedingungen außerhalb der in dieser Anleitung angegebe-

nen Grenzen ist nicht zulässig.

• Der Betrieb der Maschine ohne die vorgesehenen Schutzvorrichtungen ist unzulässig;

• die Demontage oder das Ausschalten der Schutzvorrichtungen ist untersagt.

• Etwaige Änderungen in der Konstruktion der Maschine sind verboten.

• Eine Überlastung der Maschine ist nicht zulässig.

• Der Betrieb der Maschine ohne Kühlflüssigkeit ist verboten.

• Der Betrieb der Maschine mit unzureichender Ölung/Schmierung ist verboten.

• Der Betrieb der Maschine auf eine Art und Weise bzw. zu Zwecken, die den Anweisungen

dieser Bedienungsanleitung nicht zu 100% entspricht, ist untersagt.

SICHERHEIT

Für eine andere oder darüber hinausgehende Benutzung und daraus resultierende Sachschäden oder Verletzungen übernimmt HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN keine Verantwortung oder Garantieleistung.

5.4 Generelle Sicherheitshinweise

Warnschilder und/oder Aufkleber an der Maschine, die unleserlich sind oder entfernt wurden, sind umgehend zu erneuern!

Zur Vermeidung von Fehlfunktionen, Schäden und gesundheitlichen Beeinträchtigungen sind folgende Hinweise UNBEDINGT zu beachten:

Arbeitsbereich und Boden rund um die Maschine sauber und frei von Öl, Fett, Kühlflüssigkeit und Materialresten halten!

Für eine ausreichende Beleuchtung im Arbeitsbereich der Maschine sorgen!

Die Maschine nicht im Freien verwenden! Bei Müdigkeit, Unkonzentriertheit bzw. unter Einfluss von Medika-

menten, Alkohol oder Drogen ist das Arbeiten an der Maschine verboten!

Das Klettern auf die Maschine ist verboten! Schwere Verletzungen durch Herunterfallen oder Kippen der Maschine sind möglich!

Die Maschine darf nur vom eingeschulten Fachpersonal bedient werden.

Unbefugte, insbesondere Kinder, und nicht eingeschulte Personen sind von der laufenden Maschine fern zu halten!

Wenn Sie an der Maschine arbeiten, tragen Sie keinen lockeren Schmuck, weite Kleidung, Krawatten oder langes, offenes Haar.

Lose Objekte können sich in rotierenden und bewegenden Objekten verfangen und zu schweren Verletzungen führen!

Bei Arbeiten an der Maschine geeignete Schutzausrüstung (Schutzhandschuhe, Schutzbrille, Gehörschutz, Schutzmaske…) tragen!

Vor Wartungsarbeiten oder Einstellarbeiten ist die Maschine von der Spannungsversorgung zu trennen! Vor dem Trennen der Spannungsversorgung den Hauptschalter ausschalten (OFF).

Verwenden Sie das Netzkabel nie zum Transport oder zur Manipulation der Maschine!

SICHERHEIT

Am Gerät befinden sich nur wenige von Ihnen zu wartenden Komponenten. Es ist nicht notwendig, die Maschine zu demontieren. Reparaturen nur durch den Fachmann durchführen lassen!

Zubehör: Verwenden Sie nur von HOLZMANN empfohlenes Zubehör! Wenden Sie sich bei Fragen und Problemen an unsere Kundenbetreuung.

5.5 Zusätzliche Sicherheitshinweise zur TS 255 M

• Der Betrieb ist nur mit Fehlerstrom-Schutzschalter (RCD max. Fehlerstrom 30mA) zulassig.

• Tragen Sie Gehorschutz. Die Einwirkung von Larm kann Gehörverlust bewirken.

• Beim Hantieren mit Sageblattern und rauen Werkstoffen Handschuhe tragen.

• Beim Arbeiten entstehender Staub ist oft gesundheitsschadlich und sollte nicht in den Korper

gelangen. Staubabsaugung verwenden und zusatzlich geeignete Staubschutzmaske tragen. Abgelagerten Staub grundlich entfernen, z.B. Aufsaugen.

• Vor jedem Gebrauch Gerat , Anschlusskabel, Verlangerungskabel und Stecker auf Beschadi-

gung und Alterung kontrollieren. Beschadigte Teile nur von einem Fachmann reparieren lassen.

• Fehler in der Maschine, einschlieslich der Schutzeinrichtung oder der Sageblatter, sind, so

bald sie entdeckt werden, der fur die Sicherheit verantwortlichen Person zu melden. Schutzeinrichtung der Maschine unbedingt verwenden.

• Benutzen Sie zum sicheren Arbeiten Einrichtungen wie z.B. Schutz- und Druckvorrichtung,

Anschlagplatte, Zufuhrschieber etc.!

• Kreissägen dürfen nicht zum Schlitzen (im Werkstuck beendete Nut) verwendet werden.

• Falzen oder Nuten ist nur mit einer geeigneten Schutzvorrichtung, z. B. einer Tunnelschutz-

vorrichtung über dem Sagetisch, erlaubt.

• Stutzen Sie große Platten ab, um das Risiko eines Rückschlags durch ein klemmendes Säge-

blatt zu vermindern. Große Platten konnen sich unter ihrem Eigengewicht durchbiegen. Platten mussen auf beiden Seiten, sowohl in Nahe des Sagespalts als auch am Rand, abgestutzt werden.

• Spane oder Splitter durfen bei laufender Maschine nicht entfernt werden.

• Abgenutzte Tischeinlage ersetzen.

• Keine Sageblatter benutzen die beschadigt oder verformt sind.

• Der Grundkorper des Sageblattes darf nicht dicker und die Schrankung nicht kleiner als die

Dicke des Spaltkeils sein. Spaltkeil nicht entfernen.

• Ein fur den zu schneidenden Werkstoff geeignetes Sageblatt auswahlen.

• Sageblatter, die nicht den Kenndaten in dieser Gebrauchsanweisung entsprechen, durfen

nicht verwendet werden.

• Es durfen nur Werkzeuge verwendet werden, die EN 847-1 entsprechen.

• Keine aus Schnellarbeitsstahl gefertigten Sageblatter verwenden.

• Die auf dem Sageblatt angegebene Hochstdrehzahl ist einzuhalten.

• Die Werkzeuge mussen in einem geeigneten Behältnis transportiert und aufbewahrt werden.

• Die Tischkreissage nur mit eingerasteter Transportsicherung am Handgriff transportieren.

• Die obere Schutzhaube darf nicht als Griff zum Transportieren benutzt werden!

• Während des Transports der Maschine muss die obere Schutzhaube den oberen Teil des Sa-

geblattes abdecken.

• Um die Gerauschentwicklung zu minimieren muss das Werkzeug gescharft sein und alle Ele-

mente zur Lärmminderung (Abdeckungen usw.) ordnungsgemäß eingestellt sein.

SICHERHEIT

5.6 Restrisiken

Auch bei Einhaltung aller Sicherheitsbestimmungen und bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung sind folgende Restrisiken zu beachten:

• Verletzungsgefahr für die Hände/Finger durch den rotierenden Bohrkopf während dem Be-

trieb.

• Haare und lose Kleidung etc. können vom rotierenden Bohrkopf erfasst und aufgewickelt

werden! Schwere Verletzungsgefahr! Sicherheitsbestimmungen bzgl. Arbeitskleidung unbedingt beachten.

• Verletzungsgefahr durch Kontakt mit spannungsführenden Bauteilen.

• Verletzungsgefahr durch Kippen der Maschine

• Schnittgefahr durch nicht entgratete Bohrkanten

• Verletzungsgefahr für das Auge durch herumfliegende Teile, auch mit Schutzbrille.

• Gefahr durch Freisetzen von chemischen Partikeln im zu bearbeitenden Material, die

krebserregend oder sonst für die Gesundheit schädlich sind.

Diese Risiken können reduziert werden, wenn alle Sicherheitsbestimmungen angewendet werden, die Maschine ordentlich gewartet und gepflegt wird und die Maschine bestimmungsgemäß und von entsprechend geschultem Fachpersonal bedient wird. Trotz aller Sicherheitsvorrichtungen ist und bleibt ihr gesunder Hausverstand und Ihre entsprechende technische Eignung/Ausbildung zur Bedienung einer Maschine wie der TS 255M der wichtigste Sicherheitsfaktor.

6 INBETRIEBNAHME

6.1 Sicherheitseinrichtungen

6.1.1 Kreissägeblattschutz (a)

Der Kreissägeblattschutz verhindert einerseits unbeabsichtigten Kontakt von Gegenständen bzw. Personen mit dem Sägeblatt und andererseits zum Absaugen von Holzspänen während der Bearbeitung.

6.1.2 Spaltkeil (b)

Der Spaltkeil ist so dimensioniert, dass er in seiner Breite dicker als das Sägeblatt ist. Dies verhindert, dass die Zähne am hinteren Umfang des Sägeblattes das Werkstück nicht berühren und es ungewollt beschädigt, bzw. herausgeschleudert werden kann.

INBETRIEBNAHME

6.1.3 Schiebestock (P)

Der Schiebestock dient als „Verlängerung“ des Armes und ist stets zu verwenden um Verletzungen vorzubeugen. Der Schiebstock kann in einem dafür vorgesehenen Schlitz an der Maschine verstaut werden

6.1.4 EIN-AUS-Taster mit NOT AUS Funktion

Der Schalter im Bild nebenan dient als EIN/AUS Schalter und ist auch mit einer NOT AUS Funktion ausgestattet. Der grüne Schalter (a) ist der EIN- und der rote (b) der AUS-Schalter. Die Maschine kann ebenfalls zum Stillstand gebracht werden, indem auf dem großen roten Knopf außerhalb (NOT AUS Schalter) gedrückt wird.

INBETRIEBNAHME

6.2 Elektrischer Anschluss

AC H T U NG

Der elektrische Anschluss der Maschine ist für den Betrieb an einer geerdeten Steckdose vorbereitet!

Der Stecker darf nur mit einer fachgerecht montierten und geerdeten Steckdose verbunden werden!

Der mitgelieferte Stecker darf nicht verändert werden. Sollte der Stecker nicht passen oder defekt sein, darf nur ein qualifizierter Elektrotechniker diesen Stecker modifizieren bzw. erneuern!

Im Falle einer Reparatur oder eines Austausches darf der Erdungsleiter nicht an eine unter Spannung stehende Dose angeschlossen werden!

Überprüfen Sie mit einem qualifizierten Elektriker oder Servicetechniker, dass die Erdungsanweisungen verstanden wurden und die Maschine geerdet ist!

Ein beschädigtes Kabel ist umgehend zu erneuern!

Bei Arbeiten an einer nicht geerdeten Maschine: Schwere Verletzungen durch Stromschlag im Falle einer

Fehlfunktion möglich!

Montieren Sie die Knebelschraube am Handrad wie in der Abbildung dargestellt.

6.6 Installation des Spaltkeils und Sägeblattschutzes

Entfernen Sie die Tischeinlage.

Heben Sie das Sägeblatt indem Sie das Handrad im Uhrzeigersinn drehen. Schließen Sie den Release-Hebel durch in die Höhe ziehen desselben.

Setzen Sie das Messer in Position bis die inneren Stifte greifen.

Verschließen Sie den Release-Hebel indem Sie ihn hinunter drücken. Bauen Sie die Tischeinlage wieder ein.

7 BEDIENUNG

7.1 Einstellfunktionen

7.1.1 Handrad zum Einstellen der Schnitthöhe

Die Schnitthöhe kann mit dem Handrad stufenlos verstellt bzw. eingestellt werden. Das Sägeblatt sollte so eingestellt werden, dass es etwas höher als das Werkstück ist. Durch Dre-

hen des Handrads im Uhrzeigersinn senkt sich das Sägeblatt bzw. durch Drehen des Handrads gegen den Uhrzeigersinn hebt sich das Sägeblatt.

7.1.2 Winkelverstellung des Sägeblattes

Das Sägeblatt kann mit dem Handrad (d) stufenlos, von der vertikalen Position (0°) bis 45° verstellt werden. Mit dem Fixierhebel (a) kann die gewünschte Position fixiert werden.

7.1.3 Gehrungslineal

Das Gehrungslineal wird verwendet Winkelschnitte präzise und einfach durchführen zu können.

7.2 Sägeblattwechsel

VORSICHT: Tragen Sie stets Arbeitshandschuhe zum Wechseln des Sägeblattes um Verletzun-

gen zu vermeiden. Trennen Sie die Tischkreissäge von der Stromversorgung. Heben Sie das Sägeblatt, entfernen Sie den Blattschutz, die Rücklaufsperre und die Stichplatte. Versichern Sie sich, dass der Hebel nach rechts gelegt ist. Heben Sie das Sägeblatt durch Drehen

des Handrads komplett heraus. Halten Sie (a) und (b) fest, ziehen Sie (b) Richtung Vorderseite der Maschine.

Entfernen Sie die Sägeblattnuss (c) und die Beilagscheibe (d) Entsperren Sie den Release-Hebel und entfernen Sie das Sägeblatt.

Um ein anderes Sägeblatt einzusetzen platzieren Sie das Sägeblatt auf dem Spindelschaft (die Sägeblattzähne müssen nach unten zur Frontseite zeigen um richtig zu funktionieren). Ziehen Sie die Schrauben vorsichtig zu. Legen Sie den Release-Hebel um und bewegen Sie das Sägeblatt händisch um die vorherige Montage zu überprüfen.

Senken Sie das Sägeblatt ab und setzen Sie die Platte wieder auf.

7.3 Überprüfung des Anschlags

Heben Sie den Hebel (locking lever) um den Anschlag bewegen zu können.

Legen Sie ein Winkellineal neben das Sägeblatt und bewegen Sie den Anschlag bis zu diesem. Stellen Sie die Dimension auf der Skala ein.

Bewegen Sie den Anschlag zurück und drehen Sie das Winkellineal um 180º, um die Parallelität des Anschlags zu überprüfen.

Wenn die Parallelität nicht gegeben ist, lockern Sie die zwei Schrauben auf dem Anschlag und richten Sie den Anschlag neu aus.

Ziehen Sie die zwei Schrauben wieder an.

7.4 Arbeiten mit der Tischverbreiterung

Sie können den Tisch durch die Tischverbreiterung manuell verbreitern. Ziehen Sie den Hebel in Ihre Richtung an, um ihn zu entsichern. Danach lassen Sie die Verbreiterung in die gewünschte Länge gleiten. Wenn sich die Tischverbreiterung in der gewünschten Position befindet, muss der Hebel wieder in die Ausgangsstellung bewegt werden.

7.5 Transport der Kreissäge

Drücken Sie den Knopf und ziehen oder drücken Sie den Hebel in das Griffrohr. Halten Sie den Teleskopgriff fest und ziehebn Sie die Säge an sich bis sie auf den Rädern steht.

 Die vollständige und regelmäßige Reinigung der Maschine garantiert eine lange Lebens-

dauer und stellt eine Sicherheitsvoraussetzung dar. Verwenden Sie ausschließlich milde Reinigungsmittel, d.h. kein Benzin, Petroleum, Soda etc …

 Prüfen Sie regelmäßig, ob die Warn- und Sicherheitshinweise an der Maschine vorhanden

und in einwandfrei leserlichem Zustand sind.

 Prüfen Sie vor jedem Betrieb den einwandfreien Zustand der Sicherheitseinrichtungen.

 Bei Lagerung der Maschine darf diese nicht in einem feuchten Raum aufbewahrt werden

11 SAFETY GUIDELINES

11.1 Proper usage

Holzmann Maschinen cannot be held responsible for any injuries or damages if there was performed manipulation or adjustments to the machine.

For another usage and resulting damages or injuries HOLZMANN MASCHINEN doesn’t assume any responsibility or guarantees.

11.2 Incorrect usage

• Operation of the machine that doesn’t agree with this manual is forbidden!

• Operation without the safety devices is not allowed.

• You mustn’t remove the safety devices!

• Incorrect is the usage for materials which aren’t mentioned in this manual.

• Changes of the machine’s construction are forbidden.

11.3 Safety instructions

Warning labels and/or other labels on the machine must be replaced when they were removed.

Do not operate the machine at insufficient lighting conditions. Do not operate the machine outdoors. Do not operate the machine when you are tired, when your concentration is

impaired, and/ or under the influence of drugs, medication or alcohol.

Climbing onto the machine is forbidden! Heavy injuries by falling down or by tilting of the machine are possible.

The machine shall be used only by trained persons. Non authorized persons, especially children, shall be kept away from the

work area.

Do not wear loose clothing, long hair openly or loose jewellery like necklaces etc. when operating the machine

They might be catched by rotating parts and cause serious injuries.

Use proper safety clothing and devices when operating the machine (, safety goggles, ear protectors, safety shoes …)! Do not wear safety gloves for operating because they decrease the working accuracy and they might be pulled into the saw blade.

SAFETY GUIDELINES

Before any maintenance you have to disconnect the panel saw from the power source. Never use the plugged cable for transporting or manipulating the machine.

• Operator must read the instruction carefully before operating the machine, and the man-

ager of safety department should assure the operator knows the requirements well.

• The operation, maintenance and repair of the machine must be done by qualified person

who have been trained to have the ability to forecast the potential risks. Only safetyconscious persons who are fully aware of the risks can operate the machine.

• To those people who assemble, operate, or maintain the machine must be confirmed to

have read and understood the operating instructions.

• After stopping the machine, the tool will still run for a period of time due to inertia, do not

open the tool guard and touch the tool with your hand before it comes to stop running.

• Do not detach or modify any part of the safety guard. The machine should be disconnect-

ed from the power supply during maintenance or repair.

WARNING! NEVER CONTACT THE CUTTERS AND OTHER DRIVING PARTS WITH HANDS IF THEY ARE STILL MOVING

• Assign special persons to operate, maintain and adjust the machine.

• Operate the machine in technically perfect condition. Only the producer or qualified person

can completely repair the machine.

• Stop the machine immediately if abnormal phenomena appear, check and repair the ma-

chine by specialized persons in time.

• Disassembly and assembly the machine with the hoisting equipment, which is of enough

load capacity.

• Observe all safety instructions and warnings attached to the machine, make sure they are

always complete and perfectly legible.

• Do safety inspection before operating. Ensure the stroke limit switches, stop block and

emergency stop button safe and reliable.

• Reinstall the removed guards and safety devices in place after maintaining.

• Do maintenance or adjustment only after switching the machine off and disconnecting the

machine from the power source.

• Always keep children away from the machine. Operating personal must be at least 18

years old.

• Do not wear loose clothing, gloves, neckties or jewelry (rings, watches, etc). Keep the

sleeves and the edges of the work uniform tight. Always be sure to wear safety goggles and wear safety shoes during operation.

• Put the long hair into a safety hat during operation no matter the operator is a man or a

woman.

• It is recommended to wear suitable hearing protection equipment when necessary to re-

duce the risk of hearing loss.

• Provide adequate light around the machine, and keep the perimeter around the machine

dry, clean and in good order. In addition, do not place anything near the machine; otherwise it becomes an obstacle during operation.

• Do not remove the guards from their working place during operation.

• Disconnect the power supply before leaving the machine.

• Restart the machine only after the guards and safety devices are replaced to their position

and in their good function.

• Do not place tools, work pieces, or other items, which not be in use on the machine, espe-

cially on the moving parts.

• Clamp workpiece and tools completely and reliably and take off the wrench from chuck be-

fore starting the spindle running.

• Stop the machine before adjusting the position of the coolant nozzles.

• Do not use compressed air to remove dust and chips etc. deposited on the machine,

switchboard, control unit etc.

• Both operators and the maintenance men should read the descriptions carefully on the

caution plate attached on the machine. They should observe the OPERATION MANUAL in their work. During operation and maintenance, care should be taken so that this caution plate is not dirtied or damaged.

• Always bear in mind where the emergency stop button is so that you can operate it with-

out delay in case of an emergency.

• Start the machine according to the starting procedures strictly.

• Keep your hands away from the moving parts of the machine during operation.

• When removing chips caught around the tooling system, avoid taking them out directly by

hand, there is cutting hazards. It is safer with proper tool when doing this. Be sure to stop the machine when removing chips from the machine.

• Prior to starting test operation, read this manual carefully so as to be familiar with this

machine.

• Contact the manufacturer if for some reason the OPERATION MANUAL should become un-

readable.

• When install a tool, stop the spindle and the feed in each axis.

• The machine is low-maintenance. It’s not necessary to dismount any parts of the machine.

Repairs only by specialists!

• Accessories: Only use accessories recommended by Holzmann Maschinen.

11.4 Safety devices for the mobile table saw TK 255M

• The machine must be equipped with a table length extension if second person is working

at the circular saw bench removing cut workpieces. The second person may not stand anywhere else but at the take-off table end.

• The working space on the machine must be free of chips and wood scrap.

• Wear only close-fitting clothes. Remove rings, bracelets and other jewelry.

• Pay attention to the rotational direction of the motor see Electrical Connection.

• The safety mechanisms on the machine may not be removed or rendered unusable.

• Cleaning, changing, calibrating, and setting of the machine may only be carried out when

the motor is switched off. Pull the power supply plug and wait for the rotating tool to completely stop.

• Switch the machine off and pull power supply plug when rectifying any malfunctions.

• When working on the machine, all safety mechanisms and covers must be mounted

SAFETY GUIDELINES

• Use only sharpened, nick-free and non-deformed saw blades

• The splitting wedge is an important safety feature. The workpiece is fed through the split-

ting wedge which prevents the cut from closing behind the saw blade and also prevents the workpiece from kicking back.

• Lower the cover onto the workpiece during every working operation. It must stand horizontal above the saw blade

• Always use a push-stick for longitudinal cuts of narrow workpieces (less than 120 mm).The push-stick must be used to prevent you from having to work with your hands near the saw blade. Stop the machine to repair a failure or remove pieces of wood which have become jammed. Disconnect the mains plug.

• The table insert must be renewed when the saw slot is worn. Pull power supply plug.

• When leaving the work place, switch the motor off. Pull the power supply plug.

• Cut off the external power supply of the machine or plant even if only minor changes of

place are envisaged. Properly reconnect the machine to the supply mains before recommissioning.

• Connection and repair work on the electrical installation may be carried out by a qualified electrician only.

• All protection and safety devices must be replaced after completing repair and maintenance procedures.

• Avoid accidental starting. Be sure switch is off when plugging in any tool

• Use the right direction of feed. Feed work into a blade or cutter against the direction of rotation of blade or cutter only．

• Turn the power off. Don’t leave tool until it comes to a complete stop.

• Protect your lungs. Wear a face or dust mask if the cutting operation is dusty

• Protect you hearing. Wear hearing protection during extented periods of operation

• Use only correct blades. Do not use blades with incorrect size holes

Never use blade washers or blade bolts that are defective or incorrect．The maximum blade capacity of your saw is 10 in．(254mm).

Use only as authorized

• The machine has been built in accordance with state of the art standards and the recog-

nized safety rules. Nevertheless, its use may constitute a risk to life and limb of the user or of third parties or cause damage to the machine and to other material property.

• The circular saw bench is constructed exclusively for the sawing of wood. The required saw

blade should be inserted according to the cut type and the wood type (solid wood, chip board or plywood).

• The machine must only be used in technically perfect condition in accordance with its des-

ignated use and the instructions set out in the operating manual, and only by safetyconscious persons who are fully aware of the risks involved in operating the machine. Any functional disorders, especially those affecting the safety of the machine, should therefore be rectified immediately.

push stick． Not ripping work that is twisted or warped or does not have a straight edge to

guide along the fence．

11.5 Remaining risks

The machine has been built using modern technology in accordance with recognized safety rules. Some remaining hazards however, may still exist.

• The rotating saw blade can cause injuries to fingers and hands if the work piece is incor-

rectly fed

• Thrown work pieces can lead to injury if the work piece is not properly secured or fed such

as working without a limit stop

• Noise can be a health hazard. The permitted noise level is exceeded when working. Be

sure to wear personal protective gear such as ear protection.

• Defective saw blades can cause injuries. Regularly inspect the structural of saw blades.

• The operating instructions supplied with the special accessories must be observed and

carefully read when special accessories are used.

• Even when all safety measures are taken, some remaining hazards which are not yet evi-

dent may still be present

• Remaining hazards can be minimized by following the instructions in ”Safety Precautions

”,”Proper Use ”and in the entire operating manual.

• Hearing damages when the customer doesn’t use hearing protection.

• Danger of injuries by kickback or spinning round of the work piece or parts of it.

• Danger by inhaling poisonous dust of chemical treated work pieces.

These risks can be minimized when all the safety instructions are applied, the machine is maintained well and the machine is operated by specialists. Never the less your healthy common sense and your technical training are the most important things for operating a machine like the TS 255M.

11.6 Electrical Connection

The electric motor is connected in a ready –to -operate state.

11.6.1 Faulty electrical connecting leads

Insulation damage often occurs at electrical connecting leads. Causes include:

• Pressure marks caused when connecting leads are run through windows or the cracks of

doors.

• Folds caused by the improper attachment of running of the connecting leads.

• Cuts resulting from the crossing of the connecting lead.

• Insulation damages caused by the ripping out of the connecting lead from the wall socket

• Cracks due to the ageing of the insulation.

Faulty electrical connecting leads such as these may not be used and are highly dangerous due to the insulation damage.

Check electrical connecting leads regularly for damage. Ensure that the connecting lead is not attached to the mains supply when you are checking it.

12.1 Recommended Accessories

To avoid injury:

• Use only accessories recommended for this machine.

• Follow instructions that accompany accessories. Use of improper accessories may cause haz-

ards.

• Use only accessories designed for this table saw to avoid injury from thrown broken parts or

workpieces.

• Do not use any accessory unless you have completely read the instruction or operator’s man-

ual for that accessory.

12.2 UNPACKING AND CHECKING CONTENTS

Carefully unpack the table saw and all its parts, and compare against the illustration following.

WARNING:

• To avoid injury from unexpected starting, do not plug the power cord into a power source re-

ceptacle during unpacking and assembly. This cord must remain unplugged whenever you are assembling or adjusting the machine.

• If any part is missing or damaged, do not plug the machine until the missing or damaged

part is replaced, and assembly is complete.

• To protect the table saw from moisture, a protective coating has been applied to the ma-

chined surfaces. Remove this coating with a soft cloth moistened with kerosene.

WARNING: To avoid fire or toxic reaction, never use gasoline, naphtha, acetone, lacquer thinner or similar highly volatile solvents to clean the table saw.

12.3 Installation of handle assembly

Lift the end cap off the handle assembly using a flat blade screwdriver．

Hold the nut securely and turn the screw counterclockwise to remove the nut completely．

Place the nut into the recessed hole on the back of the height/bevel adjusting handwheel and hold in place．

Slide the handle and screw into the hole on the height/bevel adjusting handwheel．

Using the hex wrench, turn the screw clockwise and tighten in place

．

Push the end cap back in place on the end of the handle．

12.4 Installation of the out feed support

Pull out the shaft , release the socket head bolt and flat washer

Install the out feed support. Make sure the tenon end of the shaft is

fitting the hole of out feed support. Replace the socket head bolt and flat

washer. Fix the chip bag assembly to the out

feed support using M4x12 pan head screw and M4 hex nut.

12.5 Installation of the riving knife and blade guard

Remove the throat plate, place your index finger in the hole and lift the front end pulling the throat plate out toward the front of the saw．

Raise the saw blade by turning the height/bevel adjusting the handwheel counterclockwise．

Unlock the release lever by pulling it up．

Place the riving knife into the position until the internal pins are engaged.

Lock the release lever by pushing the lever down．

Reinstall the throat plate． Mount the blade guard assembly to the riving

knife and fix the hose to the blade guard

13.1 Working environment

The circular saw is designed for operating on the site:

• The height above sea level doesn’t exceed 1000m.

• The ambient temperature range doesn’t exceed 5

• The relative humidity doesn’t exceed 50% within

• Transportation temperature range is within-25°

• The light in the working environment should not be lower than 500 lux.

Do not use the machine in an environment of electric dirt, explosion, metal fretted, gas and

steam which can destroy insulation .

Do not use the machine in an environment of impact and vibration.

13.2 Moving the saw

Press the button and pull out or push the handle into the handle tube． Hold the telescoping handle firmly, tilt the saw toward you until the saw is balanced on the

wheels． Pull the saw to the desired location then either mount to a firm supporting surface such as a

workbench or leg stand for immediate saw operation or store the saw in a dry environment．

13.3 Changing the blade depth

The blade depth should be set so that the outer points of the blade are higher than the workpiece by approximately 1/8 in to 1/4 in but the lowest points(gullets) are below the top surface．

Push the bevel locking lever to the left for elevation mode． Raise the blade by turning the height/bevel adjusting handwheel

counterclockwise or lower it by turning the handle clockwise.

13.4 Changing the blade angle

Unplug the saw． Loosen bevel control by pushing the bevel lock

lever all the way to the right． To unlock, just the bevel control by pushing the

wheel in toward the saw then turning it．Turning the wheel counterclockwise increases the angle of the blade, bringing it closer to 45º．Turning it clockwise decreases the angle, he blade closer to 90º．

To lock tighten bevel control by pushing the bevel lock lever to the left.

13.5 Using the extension table

Increase the length of the saw table by using the table extension． Pull the front table locking lever toward you to unlock the lever． Slide the table extension to the desired width． Once the extension table is set to the desired width, We lock the lever by pushing the lever back

towards the saw base．

13.6 Cutting with the rip fence

For safe and clean working, choose a minimal saw blade projection for the workpiece.

Place the rear lip on the rear of the saw table and pull slightly toward the front of the unit．

Lower the front end of the rip fence onto the guide surfaces on top of the front rail．

Push the locking lever down to automatically align and secure the fence．

Check for a smooth gliding action．If adjustments are needed, see To Check the Alignment of the Rip Fence to the Blade in the Adjustment section of this manual．

13.7 Cutting with the mitern gauge

The miter gauge provides greater accuracy in angled cuts．For very close tolerances, test cuts are recommended．

There are two miter gauge channels, one on either side of the blade．When making a 90ºcross cut, you can use either miter gauge channel．When making a beveled cross cut(the blade tilted in relation to the table) the miter gauge should be located in the slot on the right so

that the blade is tilted away from the miter gauge and your hands． The miter gauge can be turned 60º to the right or left． Loosen the lock knob． With the miter gauge in the miter gauge slot, rotate the gauge until the desired angle is reached

on the scale． Retighten the lock knob．

13.8 Adjustment

13.8.1 Replace the plate

Unplug the saw． Raise the saw blade , remove the blade guard, pawls, and throat plate． Make sure the bevel locking lever is securely pushed to the left．Raise the saw blade to its full

height by turning the height/bevel adjusting handwheel clockwise． Using the smaller end of the larger blade wrench over the hex nut．Holding both wrenches firmly,

pull the large wrench forward to the front of the machine． Remove blade nut and blade washer． Unlock the release lever and remove the saw blade．

To replace the blade with an accessory blade, follow the instructions provided with the accessory．

To install a standard blade: Place the new blade on the arbor shaft(the teeth must point down toward the front of the saw to

work properly) Lock the release lever． Rotate the blade by hand to make sure it turns freely．

Tighten securely

Lower the saw blade and reinstall the throat plate．

13.8.2 Check the alignment of the

Unplug the saw． Raise the locking lever to permit the rip fence

to be moved． Place a framing square beside the blade and

move the rip fence up to the square. Take the dimension on the rip scale.

Move the fence back and turn the framing square 180º to check the other side.

If the two dimensions are not same, loosen the two screws on the fence and align it

13.9 Foldaway stand

The stand have four circular rubber feet, the machine can be placed steadily by adjusting the four feet.

When moving the machine is needed, follow the later steps.

Loosen enough the thumb screw and turn right the left leg, then carefully put the wheel upon the floor just like the following fig.

14 MAINTENANCE

Warning: Turn off the machine and disconnect from the power supply before conducting mainte-

nance work or settings. Store the manual close to the machine. Keep the machine clean. Wear goggles when cleaning the machine. Caution: Do not clean synthetic components of the bench using aggressive cleaning agents. We

recommend a mild dish washing liquid. The machine must not get into contact with water.

• Check the saw blade regularly. Use only well-sharp-ended, crack-free and not distorted saws.

Use only tools that comply with the European standard EN 847-1

• Exchange immediately table lining that run out.

• Always keep table surface non resinous.

• Clean regularly the inner section of the machine of wood and chip rests.

• Remove possible sawdust blockages at the discharge.

At first you must disconnect the machine from the power supply.

Locking lever is not at full left position．

Blade not proper for rip out．

Clean the gears or screw post．

Plug in motor cord or wall cord． Replace circuit fuse． Reset circuit breaker． Have the cord or switch replaced．

Clean, sharpen, or replace blade． Replace with correct type．

Remount blade．

Move locking lever to left．

Change blade; rip blade typically has fewer teeth．

18 GARANTIEERKLÄRUNG

Mängelhaftungsansprüche des Käufers aus dem Kaufvertrag gegenüber dem Verkäufer (Holzmann Vertriebspartner) sowie gesetzliche Gewährleistungsrechte des jeweiligen Landes, werden durch diese Garantieerklärung nicht berührt.

Für diese Maschine leisten wir Garantie gemäß folgenden Bedingungen:

A) Die Garantie umfasst die unentgeltliche Beseitigung aller Mängel an der Maschine, nach Maßgabe der nachfol-

genden Regelungen (B-E), welche die ordnungsgemäße Funktion der Maschine beeinträchtigen und nachweislich auf Material- oder Herstellungsfehler beruhen.

B) Die Garantiezeit beträgt 12 Monate, bzw. 6 Monate bei gewerblicher Nutzung, gültig ab Lieferung der Maschi-

ne an den Erstendabnehmer. Als Nachweis ist der Original-Ablieferbeleg maßgeblich, bei Selbstabholung der Maschine der Original Kaufbeleg.

C) Zur Anmeldung von Garantieansprüchen kontaktieren Sie bitte den HOLZMANN Vertriebspartner, von dem Sie

die Maschine erworben haben, mit folgenden Unterlagen: >> Kaufbeleg und/oder Ablieferbeleg >> Fehlerbericht >> Bei Anforderung von Ersatzteilen unter Garantie füllen Sie bitte umseitiges Formular "Ersatzteilanforderung" sowie eine Kopie der Ersatzteilzeichnung -mit den benötigten Ersatzteilen markiert - bei.

D) Die Garantieabwicklung und der Ort der Garantieerfüllung erfolgt nach Maßgabe der HOLZMANN GmbH. Leicht

zu behebende Mängel werden durch unsere Vertriebspartner beseitigt, bei komplexeren Defekten behalten wir uns eine Begutachtung in 4707 Haslach, Österreich vor. Sofern nicht explizit ein zusätzlicher Vor-Ort Servicevertrag abgeschlossen ist, gilt als Erfüllungsort der Garantieleistung stets der HOLZMAN-MASCHINEN Firmensitz in 4707 Haslach, Österreich. Die im Rahmen einer Garantiebearbeitung anfallenden Transportkosten von und zum Vertriebspartner sowie von und nach Haslach sind in dieser Hersteller-Garantie nicht abgedeckt.

E) Garantieausschluss bei Mängeln:

- an Maschinenteilen, welche gebrauchsbedingten oder sonstigen natürlichen Verschleiß unterliegen, sowie

Mängeln an der Maschine, die auf einen gebrauchsbedingten oder sonstigen natürlichen Verschleiß zurückzuführen sind.

- die auf unsachgemäße oder fahrlässige Montage, Inbetriebnahme, bzw. Anschluss an das elektrische Netz

zurückzuführen sind.

- die auf Nichtbeachtung von Bedienungshinweisen, nicht bestimmungsgemäßen Gebrauch, atypischen Um-

weltbedingungen, sachfremden Betriebsbedingungen und Einsatzgebiet, mangelnde bzw. unsachgemäße Wartung oder Pflege zurückzuführen sind.

- die durch die Verwendung sowie Einbau von Zubehör-, Ergänzungs- oder Ersatzteilen verursacht wurden,

die keine Original HOLZMANN Ersatzteile sind.

- die geringfügige Abweichungen vom Soll-Zustand darstellen, welche für den Wert oder die Gebrauchstaug-

lichkeit der Maschine unerheblich sind.

- die auf fahrlässige konstruktionsbedingte Überbeanspruchung zurückzuführen sind. Insbesondere bei Män-

geln durch Nutzung, welche durch Belastungsniveau und Umfang als gewerblich einzustufen sind, bei Maschinen, die nach Bauart und Leistungsvermögen nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch konstruiert und bestimmt sind.

F) Im Rahmen dieser Garantie sind weitere Ansprüche des Käufers über die hier ausdrücklich genannten Garan-

tieleistungen hinaus ausgeschlossen.

G) Diese Hersteller-Garantie wird freiwillig übernommen. Garantieleistungen bewirken daher keine Verlängerung

der Garantiefrist und setzen auch keine neue Frist, auch nicht für Ersatzteile, in Gang.

SERVICE

Nach Ablauf der Garantiezeit können Instandsetzungs- und Reparaturarbeiten von entsprechend geeigneten Fachfirmen durchgeführt werden. Es steht Ihnen auch die HOLZMANN-Maschinen GmbH weiterhin gerne mit Service und Reparatur zur Seite. Stellen Sie in diesem Fall eine unverbindliche Kostenanfrage, unter Angabe der Informationen siehe C) an unseren Kundendienst oder senden Sie uns Ihre Anfrage einfach per umseitig beiliegendem Formular ein.

GUARANTEE TERMS

19 GUARANTEE TERMS

(applicable from 30.12.2011)

Please consult our troubleshooting section for initial problem solving. Feel free to contact your HOLZMANN reseller or us for Customer Support!

Warranty claims based on your sales contract with your HOLZMANN retailer, including your statutory rights, shall not be affected by this guarantee declaration. HOLZMANN-MASCHINEN grants guarantee according to following conditions: A) The guarantee covers the correction of deficiencies to the tool/machine, at no charge, if it can be

verified adequately that the deficiencies were caused by a material or manufacturing fault.

B) The guarantee period lasts 12 months, and is reduced to 6 months for tools in commercial use. The

guarantee period begins from the time the new tool is purchased from the first end user. The starting date is the date on the original delivery receipt, or the sales receipt in the case of pickup by the customer.

C) Please lodge your guarantee claims to your HOLZMANN reseller you acquired the claimed tool from

with following information: >> Original Sales receipt and/or delivery receipt >> Service form (see next page) filed, with a sufficient deficiency report >> for spare part claims: a copy of the respective exploded drawing with the required spare parts being marked clear and unmistakable.

D) The Guarantee handling procedure and place of fulfillment is determined according to HOLZMANNs

sole discretion in accordance with the HOLZMANN retail partner. If there is no additional Service contract made including on-site service, the place of fulfillment is principally the HOLZMANN Service Center in Haslach, Austria.

E) Transport charges for sendings to and from our Service Center are not covered in this guarantee.

The Guarantee does not cover:

 Wear and tear parts like belts, provided tools etc., except to initial damage which has to

be claimed immediately after receipt and initial check of the machine.

 Defects in the tool caused by non-compliance with the operating instructions, improper

assembly, insufficient power supply, improper use, abnormal environmental conditions, inappropriate operating conditions, overload or insufficient servicing or maintenance.

 Damages being the causal effect of performed manipulations, changes, additions made to

the machine.

 Defects caused by using accessories, components or spare parts other than original

HOLZMANN spare parts.

 Slight deviations from the specified quality or slight appearance changes that do not af-

fect functionality or value of the tool.

 Defects resulting from a commercial use of tools that - based on their construction and

power output - are not designed and built to be used within the frame of industrial/commercial continuous load.

F) Claims other than the right to correction of faults in the tool named in these guarantee conditions

are not covered by our guarantee.

G) This guarantee is voluntary. Therefore Services provided under guarantee do not lengthen or renew

the guarantee period for the tool or the replaced part.

SERVICE

After Guarantee and warranty expiration specialist repair shops can perform maintenance and repair jobs. But we are still at your service as well with spare parts and/or machine service.
