design and equipment of our vehicles, there may
be discrepancies between this operating manual
and your vehicle. We also cannot completely rule
out errors, despite careful work in the creation of
this document. No legal claims can be derived from
the information, illustrations and descriptions herein. This operating and maintenance manual is furnished with each vehicle. Store it as carefully as
possible, but accessible to drivers and maintenance
personnel at all times. If it is ever lost, the owner must immediately obtain a replacement from

General information on service
Have your vehicle registered by your Holder partner when you take delivery of the vehicle. Online
registration is the prerequisite for warranty processing. Have the specified maintenance service in
the maintenance schedule performed regularly and
have this confirmed by a stamp and signature from
your Holder partner in the service book. This is important, because only demonstrated performance
of the maintenance work preserves the warranty
claim and claims for product liability.
For all inquiries about your vehicle please provide

Safety instruction for retrofitting
The vehicle is equipped with electronic components
whose operation may be influenced by electromagnetic emissions from other equipment. These influences can endanger people if the safety instructions below are not observed:
•
Have equipment installed by a specialist shop
•
Before installation of electrical or electronic devices with connections to the vehicle network,
there must be a check of whether this installation causes interference with vehicle electronics or other components
•
The installed devices must conform to the applicable EMC Directive 2009/64/EC and bear
the CE mark
•
If you install a mobile communications system (radio, mobile telephone) (or have one installed), the following requirements must be
satisfied:
– Only install devices with a valid approval
(e.g. BTZ approval in Germany)
– The device must be permanently installed
– Operation of portable or mobile devices in-
side the vehicle is permissible only via a
connection to a permanently installed exter-
nal antenna
– The transmission section must be installed
spatially separated from the vehicle electronics
– Ensure that the antenna is installed by a
specialist and has a good connection to the
vehicle earth
•
For the wiring, observe the maximum permissible power consumption according to the
manufacturer's installation instructions
•
Disconnect all plugs from the electronics in
case of electric welding work

Emissions
Exhaust gas
DANGER
Danger of poisoning
•
Do not run the engine in enclosed
spaces
The engine emits exhaust gas to the
environment when running The exhaust gas consists primarily of water
vapour, carbon dioxide (CO2), carbon
monoxide, hydrocarbons (CH), nitrogen oxides (NOx) and soot. The components CO, CH and NOx are toxic
and harmful to health and must not
be inhaled in high concentrations. Soot
is considered a carcinogenic material.
The particulates contained in exhaust
gas are especially carcinogenic.
Battery
Heat
DANGER
Risk of explosion
•
Ventilate sufficiently
•
Keep away from open flames
•
Observe safety rules for handling
the battery
The battery emits a mixture of oxygen and hydrogen (oxyhydrogen gas)
while being charged. This gas mixture
is an explosion risk and must not be
ignited.
DANGER
Danger of fire
•
Keep inflammable materials away
from the exhaust system
The exhaust gases are very hot and
can ignite combustible material

Checking tyre pressure
ADVICE
Your vehicle can be equipped with various tyre sizes For the proper pressure and load capacity for your tyres,
see the Technical Data section under
"Tyres".
1. Check the tyre pressure (1) on all four tyres
All tyres must have the same pressure.
2. Maintain the specified air pressure for fast
travel on roads.
3. Do not exceed the load capacity of the tyres.
•
The rolling resistance is increased by insufficient pressure. This increases the fuel consumption and tyre wear increases; driving behaviour is worsened
•
Excessively high-pressure impairs driving behaviour. Tyre wear increases and reduces driving comfort
DANGER
Danger of explosion, danger of ac-
cident
•
Avoid excessively high air pressure
in the tyres.
•
Do not use damaged or worn tyres
•
Immediately replace damaged
tyres
•
Only install 4 wheels of the same
type

7. The preheating indicator light (11) goes out if
you switch the ignition key to position D. The
engine is started.
ADVICE
Operate the starter for at most 20
sec. Pause one minute before the next
starting process. After two attempts to
start, consult the Kubota Motors operating manual for a possible cause.
8. Release the ignition key after starting. The
battery indicator light (16) and the engine oil
pressure indicator light (15) go out.

Operation
Before driving
Observe the regulations of the traffic laws when
driving on public roadways.
WARNING
Danger of accident
•
Only drive the vehicle from the
drivers seat with cab doors closed
•
Do not transport people in the
vehicle without suitable seating
equipment
•
Always adapt driving speed to
road conditions and the loading
situation of the vehicle
•
Before starting, check whether
there are persons in the vicinity
•
Drive slowly with heavy implements, trailers and ballast, and
take the increased braking distance into account
•
When driving in curves with trailing or mounted equipment, take
the wide overhang and the inertial
effect into account
•
Before driving, cover parts that
may be hazardous to traffic or
identify them with warning symbols.
•
Disengage the differential lock
when driving in curves
•
Turn uphill on slopes
•
Improve traction in steep terrain
by engaging the differential lock
•
Observe the instructions "Driving
on slopes"
Translation of Original Operating Manual 156319-0497
Page 98
OperationC250 ... C370
Driving on slopes
DANGER
Danger of accident
•
Driving on a slope is dangerous
because the vehicle can tip over if
the centre of gravity exceeds the
tipping limit
•
Use the vehicle only if slipping,
crashing or falling over is out of
the question
The following factors reduce the risk:
– proper loading
– low centre of gravity
– low driving speed
– no climbing
– proper tyre pressure depending on the load
– large track width
ADVICE
The driving comfort and traction of the
vehicle can be increased by reducing
the tyre pressure.
We recommend the type of driving described in the
figure for turning on a slope.

Instructions for driving
ADVICE
After the engine has started, the direction switch must be actuated once
if it was in the forward or reverse position during start-up. This prevents
inadvertent movement while starting
the engine.
You can also switch to the new direction of travel
when driving at reduced speed.
CAUTION
Danger of accident
The vehicle brakes sharply in that case
and again accelerates in the opposite
direction of travel.
CAUTION
Danger of accident
If the inch pedal is pressed completely
down, the vehicle brakes very sharply.
