Please read the “Safety Precaution” carefully before operating the unit to ensure correct usage of the unit.
Pay special attention to signs of “ Warning” and “ Caution”. The “Warning” section contains matters which, if not observed strictly, may cause death or serious injury. The “Caution” section contains matters which may result in serious consequences if not observed properly. Please observe all instructions strictly to ensure safety.

PRECAUTIONS DURING INSTALLATION
Do not reconstruct the unit. Water leakage, fault, short circuit or fi re may occur if you reconstruct the unit by yourself.

CAUTION
Please ask your sales agent or qualifi ed technician for the installation of your unit. Water leakage, short circuit or fi re may occur if you install the unit by yourself.
Please use earth line. Do not place the earth line near water or gas pipes, lightning-conductor, or the earth line of telephone. Improper installation of earth line may cause electric shock.
Be sure to use the specifi ed piping set for R410A. Otherwise, this may result in broken copper pipes or faults.
A circuit breaker should be installed depending on the mounting site of the unit. Without a circuit breaker, the danger of electric shock exists.
Do not install the unit near a location where there is fl ammable gas. The outdoor unit may catch fi re if fl ammable gas leaks around it.
Please ensure smooth fl ow of water when installing the drain hose.
PRECAUTIONS DURING SHIFTING OR MAINTENANCE
Should abnormal situation arises (like burning smell), please stop operating the unit and turn off the
circuit breaker. Contact your agent. Fault, short circuit or fi re may occur if you continue to operate the unit under abnormal situation.

Do not use any conductor as fuse wire, this could cause fatal accident.
This unit has UV LED which emits ultra violet light. AVOID DIRECT EYE EXPOSURE.
Do not insert a fi nger, a rod or other objects into the air outlet or inlet. As the fan is rotating at a high speed, it will cause injury. Before cleaning, be sure to stop the operation and turn the breaker OFF.
During thunder storm, disconnect and turn off the circuit breaker.

PRECAUTIONS DURING OPERATION
The product shall be operated under the manufacturer specifi cation and
not for any other intended use.
Do not attempt to operate the unit with wet hands, this could cause fatal

accident.
Do not direct the cool air coming out from the air-conditioner panel to face
household heating apparatus as this may affect the working of apparatus such as the electric kettle, oven etc.
Please ensure that outdoor mounting frame is always stable, fi rm and
without defect. If not, the outdoor unit may collapse and cause danger.
Do not splash or direct water to the body of the unit when cleaning it as
this may cause short circuit.
Do not use any aerosol or hair sprays near the indoor unit. This chemical
can adhere on heat exchanger n and blocked the evaporation water ow to drain pan. The water will drop on tangential fan and cause water
splashing out from indoor unit.

O N
Please switch off the unit and turn off the circuit breaker during cleaning,
the high-speed fan inside the unit may cause danger.

Turn off the circuit breaker if the unit is not to be operated for a long period.
Do not climb on the outdoor unit or put objects on it.
Do not put water container (like vase) on the indoor unit to avoid water
dripping into the unit. Dripping water will damage the insulator inside the unit and causes short-circuit.
Do not place plants directly under the air ow as it is bad for the plants.
When operating the unit with the door and windows opened, (the room humidity is always above 80%) and with the air defl ector facing down or moving automatically for a long period of time, water will condense on the air defl ector and drips down occasionally. This will wet your furniture. Therefore, do not operate under such condition for a long time.
If the amount of heat in the room is above the cooling capability of the unit (for example: more people entering the room, using heating equipments and etc.), the preset room temperature cannot be achieved.
This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.

INDOOR UNIT INDICATORS
OPERATION LAMP
This lamp lights during operation.
TIMER LAMP
This lamp lights when the timer is working.
FILTER LAMP
When the device is operated for a total of about 200 hours, the FILTER lamp lights to indicate that it is time to clean the fi lter. The lamp goes out when the “
(vertical auto swing)” button is pressed while
the device is on “STANDBY MODE”.
ECO LAMP
This lamp lights when the eco function is in operation.
AIR SLEEP LAMP
This lamp lights when the air sleep function is in operation.
AUTO ON LAMP
This lamp lights when the auto on is set.

OPERATION INDICATOR
TEMPORARY SWITCH
Use this switch to start and stop when the remote controller does not work.
By pressing the temporary switch, the operation is done in automatic mode.
When the operation is done using the temporary switch after the power source is turned off and turn
on again, the operation is done in automatic mode.

REMOTE CONTROLLER
This controls the operation of the indoor unit. Signal range to reach indoor unit is about 7 meters. If inverter lamp is used, the range of control may be shorter. This unit can be fi xed on a wall using the fi xture provided. Before fi xing it, make sure the indoor unit can be controlled from the remote controller.

This indicates the room temperature selected, timer status, function and intensity of circulation selected.

Use this button to dehumidify the room or start operation.

Press these buttons to set the room temperature. Press the [ room temperature. Press the [ room temperature. Keep pressing and the value will change more quickly.

COOLING OPERATION
Use the device for cooling when the outdoor temperature is 21~43°C. If indoor humidity is very high (over 80%), some dew may form on the air outlet grille of the indoor unit.
Press the (COOLING) button so that the display indicates
(COOL).

Cooling operation starts with a beep. The cooling function does not start if the temperature setting is higher than the current room temperature (even though the
(OPERATION) lamp lights). The cooling function will start as soon as you set the temperature below the current room temperature.

Set the desired FAN SPEED with the button (the display indicates the setting).
(AUTO) : The FAN SPEED is HI at fi rst and varies to
MED or LOW automatically when the preset temperature has been reached.
(HI) : Hi fan speed mode.
(MED) : Medium fan speed mode.
(LOW) : Low fan speed mode.
(SILENT) : Silent fan speed mode.
Set the desired room temperature with the TEMPERATURE button (the display indicates the setting).
The range of 25~28°C is recommended as the room temperature for cooling. If the temperature setting is 27°C, the room temperature will be controlled at around 27°C.
The temperature setting and the actual room temperature may vary somewhat depending on conditions.

Dehumidifying Function
When the room temperature is higher than the temperature setting: The device will dehumidify the room, reducing the room temperature to the preset level. When the room temperature is lower than the temperature setting: Dehumidifying will be performed at the temperature setting slightly lower than the current room temperature, regardless of the temperature setting. The function will stop (the indoor unit will stop emitting air) as soon as the room temperature becomes lower than the setting temperature. You might feel a bit colder in dehumidifying operation.

AIR SLEEP OPERATION
With Air Sleep sensor and SCENE CAMERA, the air conditioner detects brightness in the room, movement of people, its location and temperature around people to control set temperature, control fan speed and air direction automatically to realize comfortable and energy saving operation as well as to achieve a comfortable sleep evnvironment.

Press to activate AIR SLEEP & ECO mode function.
The operation of the function depends on the brightness of the room where the operation will change
automatically.
If the room is bright, then ECO mode will operate. If the room is dark, the AIR SLEEP mode will
operate.
AIR SLEEP MODE
With the air sleep sensor, the air conditioner can monitor the activity level or sleep is con rmed. The
temperature will be increased automatically 1°C and the unit will continue running for 1 hour. Fan speed will be changed to SILENT.
If the condition of activity in the room stable, the unit will continue running with the temperature increased
another 1°C.
Later if there is an increased of temperature detected the fan speed will change to LOW automatically.
If there is only small activity is con rmed the temperature will decrease 1°C.
Analyze position of human & surrounding for air blow operation and direction.
If big human activity is detected, the temperature FAN SPEED will be resumed back to previous setting.
ECO MODE
Setting of scene camera will detect movement of person, position and surrounding temperature.
All the detected data will be analyzed to set the room temperature, air blow and direction of air blow for
energy saving operation.

One point advice about "SCENE CAMERA”
"SCENE CAMERA" can not detect following area.
Within 2m from the air conditioner (the range will be different depending on installed height) and the
wall on which the air conditioner is installed.
The place in which there is a wall, partition, a drawer or a bookshelf between the air conditioner and
people.
"SCENE CAMERA" detects people by recognizing the shape of upper body of them. Therefore, there
are some cases "SCENE CAMERA" can not detect pepole;-
People who are lying down or infants could not be detected.
Pets can not be detected
If the room is dark, the camera can not detect people.
If the color of cloth and people's head is similar to the color of wall and oor, it becomes dif cult for
the camera to recognize people.
If people wear cap or hat, depeding on the shape of it, people can not be detected.
People in a poster or TV could be detected.
Lamp shadow could be detected as a person.
<If you do not want to use "SCENE CAMERA" function>
Direct remote control to the indoor unit during operation
Press or while pressing , and make "0" appear on the display of remote control,
then "SCENE CAMERA" functions become invalid. By doing the same to make "1" appear on the display, "SCENE CAMERA" functions revive. (Refer to page 15)

Unit will be forced operate in (COOL) with POWERFUL
MODE fan speed for 60 minutes, within this 60 minutes, fan speed shall be SUPER HI fan. period while temperature display remain unchanged. (Operation lamp at indoor unit is blinking).
After 60 minutes, operation lamp stop blinking and indicator
will disappear while unit will be in previous mode setting. Fan speed will change to previous setting.
Air blow sound will be slightly high due to forced operation.

Total time taken for One Touch Clean operation is 60 minutes. During Clean operation only Indoor fan is running. Compressor and outdoor fan will not be in operation. Operation lamp is blinking during clean operation.

During CLEAN operation, all remote control button will be disabled, except

SAVE MODE
Save Mode operation is an energy saving function by changing set temperature automatically and by limiting the maximum power consumption value.
To Start SAVE MODE operation
Press (SAVE) button before or during operation.

AUTO OFF
AUTO OFF operation is an energy saving function by stop the unit operation automatically if no person detected in the room.

Note: – During 1 hour before operation stop, If person come into the room or camera detect activity, detection start
again for 1 hour after no person in the room of camera do not detect activity.
– During power saving operation, set temperature target will be increased by 3°C in order to reduce power
consumption.
How to adjust sensitivity of detection
Press temperature adjusting button or , while pressing "Fan Speed" button.
(Indication in remote is "0" at default)
There is a "beep" sound if the unit received the signal from the remote.

About Auto Off
Cancel “Auto Off” if you continue to
use by “Eco” mode, cancel the setting of “Auto Off”.
If there are infants or a person lying
on bed, it is recommended not to set “Auto Off”, (The unit may judge that nobody is in the room and stop the operation.)
Notice
In the following cases, operation may not stop automatically.
If the unit nds a person displayed on the screen or poster.
If the unit recognize the lamp shade as a person.
If the room is so dark that the unit cannot nd the person.
In the following cases, the operation may stop automatically.
If a person is not located within the detectable area of "SCENE
CAMERA".
If there is a person in horizontal position or infants.
If there is a pet.
If the color of oor or wall looks like the color of clothes or head
of person.
If there is a person who wears a cap/hat.
If the room is so dark that the camera cannot nd the person.
In this cases, it is recommended to cancel “Auto Off” function.
The motion after Auto Off (Operation stops)
If the unit cannot nd any person during “Eco" operation for 1 hour, and then it still cannot nd any person
for 2 hours, the operation stops automatically.
After detect absence for 1 hour continuously, operation lamp will switch off and ECO lamp remain ON.
The operation does not restart if person comes back to the room after operation stops. Restart the operation
by remote controller.
During “Off Timer” and “Air Sleep” operation, priority is given to “Off Timer” and “Air Sleep” operation.
How to adjust the time by operation stops with Auto Off
You can adjust the absence power saving operation time. (following table below)
Point the remote controller to the indoor unit while operation stops, press with pressing to set.
When indoor unit receives the signal, single short beep.

AUTO ON operation is function by start the unit operation automatically when detected a person in the room.

About AUTO ON:
– First 30 min after setting Auto On, unit will be prohibited from operating.
– If person/activity detected for more than 1 hour, unit will continue operation for 24 hours (max).
– After Auto On start and person/activity not detect below 1 hour unit may stop and resume when person/
activity detected.
– After 24 hours operation, if no adjustment to remote controller, unit will enter Auto On standby mode.
– After 2 continuous week since setting the Auto On function and no further adjustment was made to the
remote controller, the unit will automatically CANCEL for safety purpose.
– Setting can be done before unit operate only.
CAUTION:
During Auto On operation, please check the remote controller setting is according user requirement.

If the unit detects lamp shadow as a person
Operation does not resume automatically in the following cases;-
If a person is not located within the detectable area of "SCENE CAMERA"
If there is a pet only in the room
If there is a lying down person or infant only in the room
If the color of oor/wall is similar to the color of a person's head
If a person wears cap or hat
If the room is too dark for the unit to detect a person
"Auto On" is recommended to be cancelled in those cases.

If the sensitivity is increased, the unit increases the potential of fales detection. Please adjust sensitivity
accordingly to installed and usage environment.
Sensitivity of "SCENE CAMERA" during operation will follow the adjusted sensitivity that already setting to
the unit.
Caution
Every time after the operation by "Auto On", please check the setting mode of remote control.

VERTICAL AIR FLOW ADJUSTMENTS
Adjustment of the conditioned air in the upward and downward directions.
The horizontal air defl ector is automatically set to the proper angle suitable for each operation. The defl ector can be swung up and down
continuously and also set to the desired angle using the “ (UP/DOWN SWING)” button.
If the “ (UP/DOWN SWING)” button is pressed once,
the horizontal air defl ector swings up and down. If the button is pressed again, the defl ector stops in its current position. Several seconds (about 6 seconds) may be required before the defl ector starts to move.
Use the horizontal air defl ector within the adjusting range
shown on the right.
When the operation is stopped, the horizontal air defl ector
moves and stops at the position where the air outlet closes.

CAUTION
In “Cooling” operation, do not keep the horizontal air defl ector
swinging for a long time. Some dew may form on the horizontal air defl ector and dew may drop.
WARNING
Do not insert a fi nger, a rod or other objects into the air outlet or inlet as the fan is rotating at a high speed, it will cause injury. Before any cleaning or adjusting the defl ectors, be sure to switch OFF the operation.

This function enables horizontal airfl ow direction to be changed. The angle of horizontal airfl ow is set to the
center at the time of purchase.
When changing airfl ow direction

Corresponding to the angle of
horizontal airflow direction, fan speed becomes slightly higher than the preset fan speed. (Except for during horizontal swing operation).
When an operation is cancelled
during horizontal swing operation and the operation is re-started after that, horizontal swing operation is continued.
Advices on “Horizontal airfl ow direction setting”
Even if setting horizontal swing with the remote controller, horizontal air
defl ector does not swing for the following cases:

operation, the angle of horizontal defl ector may change in order to prevent dew from dropping. When the temperature/humidity becomes lower, the angle of horizontal air defl ector returns to the original one.
When “Smart Swing”, “Direct” or “Indirect” is set during vertical swing
operation, the vertical swing operation is cancelled.

DIRECT/INDIRECT FUNCTION
This function enables the airfl ow direction to be changed automatically by monitoring the location of people with SCENE CAMERA, “SCENE CAMERA” lights blue when function.

Both Vertical and horizontal defl ector performs swing operation within the area where people can be detected.

Advices on “Direct” and “Indirect”
This function performs “Direct and “Indirect” with the vertical/horizontal air defl ector. However, depending
on such situation (fan speed set, temperature set, difference of indoor temperature and layout of the room, etc.). wind may not be reached or avoided. In such cases, please use vertical airfl ow direction setting function, horizontal airfl ow direction setting function
When “Direct” and “Indirect” do not operate as intended, or you want to prevent wind from hitting infant
or elderly person by unintended operation, set the vertical/horizontal air defl ector position on your preference with horizontal airfl ow direction setting function and vertical airfl ow direction setting function
.
Even if you set “Direct” or “Indirect”, when room temperature/humidity remains high during “Cool” and
“Dry” operation, angle of vertical/horizontal defl ector may change in order to prevent dew from dropping. When temperature/humidity falls, its angle returns to the original one.
When set to "Direct" or "Indirect" function during normal swing operation . Normal vertical
operation will be cancelled.
Pressing , “Direct”/“Indirect” is cancelled.
“Direct”/“Indirect” is no longer available when is set.

HOW TO EXCHANGE THE BATTERIES IN THE REMOTE CONTROLLER
When using the remote control, if there is no response from the air conditioner unit and or the remote control has fading and dim displays, the batteries in the remote control device need to be removed and replaced with new ones
Remove the cover as shown in the fi gure and

The Air Conditioner And The Heat Source In The Room
Caution
!
If the amount of heat in the room is above the cooling capability of the air conditioner (for example: more people entering the room, using heating equipments and etc.), the preset room temperature cannot be achieved.
Not Operating For A Long Time
When the indoor unit is not to be used for a long period of time, please switch off the power from the mains. If the power from mains remains “ON”, the indoor unit still consumes about 1W in the operation control circuit even if it is in “OFF” mode.

ATTACHING THE AIR PURIFYING FILTERS
CAUTION

Open the front panel

Pull up the front panel by holding it at both sides

Attach the air purifying fi lters to the frame by gently
compress its both sides and release after insertion into Pre-fi lter frame.
CAUTION

Do not bend the air purifying lter as it may cause damage to the structure.
Please do not smell direct from source of fi lter.

Attach the Pre-fi lters by ensuring that the surface
written “FRONT” is facing front.
After attaching the Pre-fi lters, push the front panel
at three arrow portions as shown in fi gure and close it.
NOTE
In case of removing the air purifying lters, please follow the above procedures.
The cooling capacity is slightly weakened and the cooling speed becomes slower when the air purifying
lters are used. So, set the fan speed to "HIGH" when using it in this condition.
Air purifying fi lters are not washable. It is recommended to use vacuum to clean it. It can be use for 1
year time. Type number for this air purifying fi lter is <SPX-CFH22>. Please use this number for ordering when you want to renew it.
Do not operate the air conditioner without Pre-fi lter. Dust may enter the air conditioner and fault may
occur.

1. PRE-FILTER
Clean the Pre- lter, as it removes dust inside the room. In case the Pre-fi lter is full of dust, the air ow will decrease and the cooling capacity will be reduced. Further, noise may occur. Be sure to
clean the Pre-fi lter following the procedure below.

Vacuum dust from the Pre-fi lter and air purifying

Air purifying fi lter should be cleaned every month or sooner if noticeable loading occurs. When
used overtime, it may loose its deodorizing function. For maximum performance, it is recommended to replace it every 1 year depending on application requirements.

When washing it, shake off moisture completely and dry it in the shade; do not expose it directly
to the sun. The Pre-fi lter may shrink.

2. CLEANING OF FRONT PANEL
Remove the front panel and wash with clean water.
Wash it with a soft sponge. After using neutral detergent, wash thoroughly with
clean water.
When front panel is not removed, wipe it with a
soft dry cloth. Wipe the remote controller thoroughly with a soft dry cloth.
Wipe the water thoroughly.
If water remains at indicators or signal receiver of
indoor unit, it causes trouble.
Method of removing the front panel. Be sure to hold the front panel with both hands to
detach and attach it.

hands, push the right arm to the inside to release it, and while closing the front panel
