The CTRL001 is a wall mounted easy to use projector control unit compatible with all current and the majority
of Hitachi legacy projectors. The CTRL001 offers manual and automatic on/off and source selection functions.
The auto on function is activated when a USB lead connected to a PC is plugged in to the unit, as the USB
signal can be passed through to an external device; this makes the unit ideal for incorporation in to an
interactive whiteboard setup.
An additional USB connector is incorporated for connecting USB devices to the attached PC. This allows the
user to access files stored on their USB or memory device with the interactive whiteboard setup, without the
When connected to a PC the unit is powered by the USB port but will revert to battery power when the PC is
disconnected. The unit incorporates intelligent battery saving technology with a lifetime of at least 6 months.
Power and error indicators are included to alert the user of low battery and other fault conditions.
Custom units can be produced with up to 7 buttons for large orders, minimum quantities and prices on application.

Operation
The unit will remain in unpowered state until either power is detected on USB input or on/off button is pressed
• On USB power detect
Retrieve last selected channel from non-volatile memory and send power-on command to projector followed by channel select command.
• On USB power down
Start timeout.
• On power button press when powered down
Retrieve last selected channel from non-volatile memory and send power on command to projector followed by channel select command. Start timeout.
• On power button press when powered up
Send command to projector to turn off. Disconnect power.
• On channel button press when powered down
Retrieve last selected channel from non-volatile memory and send power on command to projector followed by channel select command. Start timeout.
• On channel button press when powered up
Step to next channel, save channel number in non-volatile memory and send channel command to projector. Start timeout.
• On ten second timeout
Disconnect battery power.
