Attention
This section outlines important user instructions to help maintain the performance of the Player.
Please read carefully.
Do not seriously impact the host machine.
Avoid contact with such chemicals as benzene and thinner.
Stay away from the high magnetic field and electric field.
Avoid exposure to direct sunlight or heating appliances.
Do not disassemble, repair and remold by yourself.
Do not use the Player and earphones when cycling, driving cars and motorcycles, so as to
avoid danger.
Do not listen to the volume on high, as it may have adverse effects on hearing.
Duly handle the discarded packages, batteries and old electronic products according to
the classification.

Basic operations
Buttons
ON / OFF :
►II : Power On/Off (press & hold), ENTER or Play/Pause (press it once)
► : Next item or fast forward. (To fast forward, press and hold)
◄ : Previous item or rewind. (To Rewind, press and hold)
M : Bring up sub-menu window (press and hold), ESC key (press it once)
+ : Volume up
- : Volume down

Getting started
Slide the Master Power to the “On” position, then press and hold ►II to turn the Player on.
The screen will display the main menu with 8 different modes to choose from:
Music – play music
Photo – view photos
Video – play video
Recorder – voice recording
EBook – read ebook
Tool – access to calculator, calendar, and stopwatch
Browser – file browser
Setting – access to Player ’s set-up menu
Select the function and press ►II to enter.
In any function, press M to exit and return to main menu screen.
Connecting the device to a computer
Minimum System Requirements
Operating System: Windows 2000/ XP/ Vista/ Windows 7 and Mac OS 10
CPU: at least Pentium 3 1GHZ
Memory: at least 512MB
Free hard disk space: at least 1 GB
Other: available USB port
Plug the smaller end of the USB cable to the device and the other end to an USB port on the
computer. Select the file transfer option on the device or wait for it to accept the default value.
The computer will detect the device and install the driver automatically, because it is “plug n
play” on above mentioned operating systems.

Charging the device
Plug the smaller end of the USB cable to the device and the other end to an USB port on the
computer. Select the battery charge option on the device and leave it plugged in to the
computer to charge.
The computer needs to be on (approximately 2 hours) until the battery on the device is
charged.
File Transfer
The device by default will displayed as “Removable Disk” on Windows and “NO NAME” on
Mac. To add files on the device, drag supported files over to the drive.
“NO NAME” is accessible on the Mac desktop.
“Removable Disk” is accessible in My Computer or Computer on Window system.

system. Once a song has been rated the system will carry out the classification and retrieval
according to the level set by the user. How to rate a song is outlined in the next section.
Tag List:
Play music
Select All music from music menu and press ►II to enter. A list of all the songs in the internal
memory will display. Select a song and press ►II to play.
During music playback
Press ►II to play and pause.
Press ► to skip to the next track or fast forward when press and hold.
Press ◄ to go back to previous track or rewind when press and hold.
Press + and – to adjust the volume.
Press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu.
Users can grade each song according to their preference by using the star rating
List all songs with tags, and there is the maximum of 32 tag lists.
Playback sub menu
AB Repeat: repeat a portion of the current playing song.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select AB
Repeat and press ►II to set current position as the starting point, press it again to set the end
point. That portion will repeat one more time and pause. Press ►II to resume to normal
playback.
Play Mode: different playback cycle such as sequence, repeat all, shuffle and more.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Play
Mode and press ►II to bring the list of choices. Select the desired choice and press ►II to
initiate.
Select EQ: provides different equalizer presets, such as normal, rock, pop, classic and more.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Choose Select
EQ and press ►II to bring up the list of choices. Select the desired choice and press ►II to
initiate.
Play Speed: adjust the playback speed for MP3 music files.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Play
Speed and press ►II to enter play speed adjustment. Press ► or ◄ to adjust and ►II to
accept and exit.

Display mode : provides different display option such as; album, lyric, and spectrum.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Display
mode and press ►II to bring up the list of choices. Select the desired choice and press ►II to
initiate.
Set Rating: set the rating for a current song you are listening to. The Rating system is based
on 1-5 stars.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Set
Rating and press ►II to bring up the 5 star rating system. Rate the song by selecting the
number of stars and pres ►II to confirm.
Add Tag : tag the current song at current position for instant access.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Add Tag
and press ►II to save the tag in the memory.
Add to My Playlist: add the current song to the playlist.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Add to
My Playlist and press ►II to add the current song to one of the five different playlist available.
Select the playlist you would like to add the song to and press ►II to save.
Delete: delete the current song.
When music is playing, press and hold M to bring up the playback sub menu. Select Delete
and press ►II to delete the current song.
Setup Music: adjust the Replay Times and Replay Interval for the AB Repeat function; adjust
the scan speed for fast forwarding and rewinding; enable fade in fade out. Button operations
are similar.
Setup EQ: customize equalizer and SRS (Sound Retrieval System). Button operations are
similar.
In equalizer screen, press ► or ◄ to adjust and hold M to jump over to the next meter.
Information: display the corresponding information of current songs including file type and
ID3 tag. Button operations are similar.
