• The Light Control requires 120-volts AC.
• If you want to use Manual Override, the control must be

Typical Installation
The lamp module is not weather tight. It should only be
used inside of a light fixture.

INSTALLATION

❒ Before proceeding with the installation, TURN OFF
THE POWER TO THE LIGHTING CIRCUIT AT THE
CIRCUIT BREAKER OR FUSE BOX to avoid electrical
shock.
There are two types of decorative fixtures that the Instant Light
Control should be used with as shown here.
‘A’ shows a fixture with the wire going under the top cover. ‘B’
shows a fixture with a open bottom and the wire going through
the bottom.

NOTE: The Drip Loop is neccessary to prevent rain from
running down the cord to the Sensor Module.

❒ Plug the sensor cord into the switch module. The sensor
cord's plug is polarized for proper installation.
IMPORTANT: When installing the sensor, make sure the wire
comes out the bottom of the bracket and the wire has a drip
loop (as shown below) to help prevent water from entering the
sensor head.
❒ Open the top of the light
fixture if it is necessary.
Remove the light bulb.
Screw in the lamp module
and replace the bulb.

Mounting Sensor
❒ Mount the sensor approximately five feet above the ground.
Place the sensor below or beside the lighting fixture
so that the light from the decorative fixture will not hit
the sensor. Secure the sensor to the wall with the screws
provided. It may be necessary to tilt the sensor head up
slightly when mounting.
NOTE: Mounting the sensor above the light fixtures may
increase false triggering.

TEST AND ADJUSTMENT
❒ Turn on the circuit breaker and light switch.
NOTE: Sensor has a 1 1/2 minute warm up period before it
will detect motion. When first turned on or when
switching modes wait 1 1/2 minutes.
❒ Turn the SENSITIVITY (SENS) control to the mid position
and the ON-TIME control to the TEST position.

Avoid aiming the control at:
• Objects that change temperature rapidly, such as heating
vents and air conditioners. These heat sources could
cause false triggering.
• Areas where pets or traffic may trigger the control.
• Nearby large, light-colored objects reflecting day may trigger the shut-off feature. Do not point other lights at the sensor.

INSTALACION

❒ Antes de continuar con la instalación, CORTE LA
ENERGIA QUE VA AL CIRCUITO DE LA LUZ DESDE
EL CORTACIRCUITOS O DESDE LA CAJA DE
FUSIBLES para evitar un sacudón eléctrico.
Existen dos tipos de instalaciones fijas decorativas que se
deben usar con el Control Ins-tantáneo de Luz, como se
demuestra en la figura baja.
La figura ‘A’ muestra una instalación en donde el cable pasa
por debajo de la cubierta superior. La figura ‘B’ muestra una
figura con un fondo abierto y con el cable que pasa por ese
fondo.

❒ Conecte el alambre del detector en el módulo del interruptor.
El enchufe del cable del detector está polarizado para
poder obtener una instalación correcta.
IMPORTANTE: Si el cable del detector sale por la parte
superior de la instalación fija, asegúrese de que la instalación
se cierre herméticamente para evitar que la lluvia entre. Si es
necesario, cierre cualquier apertura realizada por esta
instalación, en el elemento fijo, con un sellador contra la
intemperie.
NOTA: El Bucle de Goteo es necesario para evitar que la
lluvia pase por el cable hasta el Módulo del Sensor.
❒ Abra la parte superior de la
instalación fija si es necesario.

❒ Instale el detector aproximadamente a 5 pies del piso.
Coloque el detector debajo o junto a la instalación fija
de manera que la luz que viene de esta instalación fija
no vaya hacia el detector. Asegure el detector sobre la
pared con los tornillos que se proveen. Puede ser que sea
necesario el levantar un poco la cabeza del detector
cuando se lo instale.
NOTA: Si se instala el detector sobre las instalaciones fijas de
luz puede causar falsas alarmas.

PRUEBA Y AJUSTE
❒ Prenda el cortacircuitos y el interruptor de luz.
NOTA: El detector tiene un período de cerca de 1 1/2 minutos
de calentamiento antes de detectar movimiento.
Cuando lo prenda por primera vez, espere 1 1/2 minutos.
El detector es menos sensible del movimiento que se dirige
hacia él.

activar el control.
• Los objetos grandes cercanos y de colores
resplandecientes que reflejan la luz del día pueden hacer que
