Wireless Lamp/

Models 6136 & 6138

Your wireless switched module system includes:

• Remote wall switch

• Receiver lamp module (SL-6138) or outlet module (SL-6136)

• Two #8 x 2" wood screws

• This manual

You will need to buy a 9-volt alkaline battery for the wireless switch. In typical use, this battery will last one year.

Multiple channels (A thru E) are available so that you can operate several systems at different locations in your home. If you purchase more than one system, make sure you select different operating channels, or they will interact with each other.

If you purchase a different switch plate to match your decor, make sure it is not a metal plate. Metal wall plates will reduce the operating range.

Installation

1. Install the 9-volt battery. Remove the switch cover from the transmitter as

shown (save the two screws). Snap the battery clips over the battery terminals and set the battery into its compartment.

2. Turn off the power to the outlet or lamp to be controlled. Install the

switched outlet or lamp module as shown.

3. For the SL-6136, plug in the device(s) you wish to control. Screw the light bulb into the SL-6138. Caution: do not exceed the speciﬁcations listed on the next page. Turn the power back on.

4. To check the operation, hold the remote switch at the desired location and switch it on. The appliance should turn on immediately. Important: Wait at least 3 seconds after you switch the remote switch on or off before you switch it again to allow the transmission to be completed. Turn the appliance off and back on several times. If the switch appears unreliable, move the remote switch until the appliance switches reliably.

5. Mount the remote switch at the desired location with the two wood screws provided. Note: Your particular installation may require different mounting hardware.

6. Install the switch plate on the remote switch with the screws provided.

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE

SYMPTOM

Appliance does not come on.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

1. Circuit breaker or fuse is turned off.

2. Switch on appliance is turned off.

3. Lamp or appliance is defective.

4. Signals from remote switch are being blocked, or remote switch is out of range. Check for metal objects that could block the signal, or reposition the remote switch.

5. Weak battery in the remote switch.

1. Switching too fast. Wait 3 seconds before switch ing the remote switch.

2. Same as 4 & 5 above.

1. Short term power line failure.

2. Another remote switch on the same channel.

Ud. necesitará comprar una batería alcalina de 9 voltios para el interruptor inalámbrico. En uso normal, esta batería durará 1 año.

Existen múltiples canales (de A hast E) de manera que pueda operar diferentes en diferentes lugares de su casa. Si Ud. compra más de un sistema, asegúrese de seleccionar diferentes canales de operación, de otro modo habrá interferencia entre ellos.

2. Quite la energía al tomacorriente o a la lámpara a ser controlada. Instale el tomacorriente conmutable o el módulo para la lámpara según se muestra.

3. Para el modelo SL-6136, enchufe el (los) dispositivo(s) que quiera controlar. Enrosque la bombilla en el SL-6138. Precaución: No exceda las especiﬁ-

caciones enumeradas en la siguiente página. Vuelva a conectar la energía.

4. Para revisar el funcionamiento, sostenga el interruptor remoto en la ubicación adecuada y enciéndalo. El artefacto debería encenderse inmediatamente. Importante: Espere al menos 3 segundos luego que Ud. cambia el interruptor remoto a encendido o apagado antes de un nuevo cambio para permitir que se complete la transmisión. Apague y vuelva a encender varias veces al artefacto. Si el interruptor parece poco conﬁable, mueva el interruptor remoto hasta que el artefacto encienda o apague de forma conﬁable.

5. Monte el interruptor remoto en el lugar adecuado usando los dos tornillos para madera provistos. Nota: Su instalación en particular puede que requiera diferentes accesorios de montaje.

SÍNTOMA

El artefacto no se enciende.

El artefacto no se apaga.

El artefacto se enciende al azar.

POSIBLE CAUSA

1. El disyuntor o el fusible están desconectados.

2. El interruptor del artefacto está apagado.

3. La lámpara o el artefacto están defectuosos.

4. Se están bloqueando las señales del interruptor remoto, o el interruptor remoto está fuera de margen. Revise que objetos metálicos no estén bloqueando la señal o reponga el interruptor remoto.

5. BaterÍa desgastada en el interruptor remoto. Conmutación demasiado rápida del interruptor. Espere

Modules lampe/

Modèles 6136 et 6138 Votre module commuté sans ﬁl comprend:

• Un interrupteur mural à distance

• Un module récepteur de lampe (SL-6138) ou un module de prise (SL-6136)

• 2 vis à bois #8 de 2 pouces

• Le présent manuel

L’interrupteur sans ﬁl nécessite une pile alcaline de 9V non incluse. En utilisation normale, cette pile durera un an.

Plusieurs canaux (A à E ) sont disponibles et vous permettent de faire fonctionner plusieurs appareils de différents endroits de la maison. Si vous achetez plus d’un système, assurez-vous de choisir des canaux différents, sinon ils se nuiront mutuellement.

Si vous achetez une plaque murale différente pour s’harmoniser à votre décor, assurez-vous qu’elle n’est pas en métal. Les plaques métalliques réduisent la portée de fonctionnement du module.

Installation

1. Installation de la pile de 9V. Enlever le couvercle de l’interrupteur de

l’émetteur, comme illustré (conserver les 2 vis). Placer les connexions sur les bornes de la pile et placer celle-ci dans son compartiment.

2. Couper le courant à la prise ou à la lampe à commander. Installer le module

de lampe ou de prise commuté comme illustré.

3. Pour le module SL-6136, insérer le(s) modules(s) que vous désirez commander. Visser l’ampoule dans SL-6138. Mise en garde : Ne pas dépasser

les spéciﬁcations indiquées sur la page suivante. Rétablir le courant.

4. Pour vériﬁer le fonctionnement du module, maintenir l’interrupteur à l’endroit désiré et le mettre en circuit. L’appareil devrait s’allumer immédiatement. Important: Attendre au moins 3 secondes après avoir mis l’interrupteur en circuit ou hors circuit, avant de reprendre l’opération, aﬁn de permettre à la transmission de se compléter. Mettre l’appareil commandé en circuit et hors circuit à plusieurs reprises. Si l’interrupteur ne semble pas ﬁable, déplacer l’interrupteur à distance jusqu’à ce qu’il fonctionne de façon ﬁable.

5. Installer l’interrupteur à distance, à l’endroit désiré, à l’aide des deux vis à bois fournies. Note: Votre installation pourra nécessiter des ferrures de montage différentes.

6. Remettre la plaque de l’interrupteur en place à l’aide des vis fournies.

CAUSE POSSIBLE

5. La pile de l’interrupteur à distance est faible.

1. La commutation est trop rapide. Attendre 3 secondes avant de remettre l’interrupteur à distance en circuit.

2. Voir 4 et 5 ci-dessus.
