IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
WARNING
When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be followed,
including the following:
A. Keep the water tank away from areas that might become damp or wet, such as an open window.
The control unit should be placed on a dry, firm floor, in a well ventilated place, free from surrounding
fabric.
Spacing of at least 24” (305 mm) should be left on all sides of the water tank. Do not place water tank
under the bed.
B. Never turn the water tank on before the water hose has been fully connected.
C. The water tank must have water added before initial use. Refer to the “SET-UP” section of this manual
for full instructions.
D. To avoid punctures of the circulation tubing do not use with sharp objects.
E. Turn off or unplug when not in use.
F. Overheating may result from using the sleep mat on surfaces other than a mattress.
G. Wrapping the cord around the water tank may damage the cord.
Wrap the cord loosely during storage.
H. Use distilled water only.
I. Unit to only be cleaned using peroxide per cleaning instruction.
J. Do not use this product with an infant, a child, an incapacitated or immobile person, a paraplegic, a
quadriplegic, a diabetic, one insensitive to heat such as a person with poor blood circulation, or anyone
who cannot clearly understand the instructions and/or operate the controls.
K. Keep away from pets.
L. Do not use unattended. Do not use with another electrically heated product such as a blanket, mattress
pad, or throw.
M. Do not route electrical cords or connector hose between the mattress and box spring.
N. Please ensure that the grey connector hose does not get pinched where it is set up. This will prevent water
flow and may cause excess noise from the water tank.
O. Do not use with a damaged cord. Damaged cords can lead to possible overheating or fire.
P. Water tank is not waterproof. Do not immerse in water.
Q. Use on 120 Volts 60 Hz supply only. Plug directly into outlet. Do not use with an extension cord. Do not
use with generators, power converters, or inverters.
R. Do not put the sleep mat and connector hose in the dryer.
S. Do not use the product for other than intended use.
T. Ensure all connections are tight and there is no leakage before use.
U. Arrange the electrical cord and water hose so they cannot be pulled, entangled in or tripped over.
V. This appliance has a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other). To reduce the risk of electric shock,
this plug is intented to fit in a polarized outlet only one way. If the plug does not fit fully in the outlet, reverse
the plug. if it still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Do not modify the plug in any way.

FILL THE WATER TANK
Find a space for your Sleep System next to your bed and
set it on the oor. Do not place under your bed.
Twist to the unlocked position and lift the green cap to
open the water tank.
Using distilled water only, ll the water tank until the
MAX FILL line has been reached. Keep some extra water
nearby, as you may need to ll the tank a second time
after powering on the Sleep System. You will need about 1
standard sized water bottle worth, or 500mL.
Replace the green cap and twist to the locked position.
SET UP YOUR SLEEP SYSTEM
Attach the sleep mat to the water tank. To do this, rmly
push the connector of the grey hose onto the grey
receiver of the water tank. You should feel it click, which
conrms it is connected. If you do not feel it click, please
press until it clicks.
After you’ve found a good space for your Sleep System,
lled it with water, and have attached the sleep mat, plug
it into a wall outlet.
Place the sleep mat under your tted sheet, and over
your mattress cover or mattress (if you do not use a
mattress cover).
Place the sleep mat under where the torso section of
your body typically lays on your bed. It is recommended
that you place the top of the sleep mat just below where
your pillow ends. This way, the sleep mat will be lying
underneath your torso, from your shoulders to below your
hips. Please adjust the sleep mat so that the connector
tube is hanging off the bed.
Ensure that the grey connector hose does not get
pinched where it is set up. This will prevent water ow
and may cause excess noise from the water tank.

Connect Your Sleep System
Create an account PRESS and HOLD the green
button on the water tank FOR
3 SECONDS to begin the pairing
process.The “Connected” LED
should now be ashing.
Connect your Sleep System, keeping your phone or tablet nearby,
and follow the in-app instructions.

How to Use your Sleep System
Once you have successfully paired your Sleep
System with your nuyu™ app, you are ready to
begin!
To control your Sleep System, open your nuyu™
app, and from the Home Page, tap the SLEEP
section.

You may set the Sleep System sleep duration two ways:

SELECT A STARTING TEMPERATURE
We’ve recommended a starting temperature for you in your nuyu™
app, but if you would like to change it based on personal preferences,
try just one or two degrees to start with. Avoid setting your
temperature at extreme lows or highs on the rst night, as most people
are comfortable between 72 – 74° F.
Please keep in mind that this is just the starting temperature, and your
Sleep System will get slightly cooler in the middle of your sleep cycle
to keep you comfortable, and will then warm back up to the starting
temperature when it’s time to wake up.

To begin running the Sleep System,

running and will do so until
it has reached the wake
up time or the end of the
timer.
To manually turn off the Sleep System, swipe
up on “WAKE UP” in your app, or press the
green “zzz” button on the water tank.

Washing the Sleep Mat
Unplug your Sleep System from the wall.
Please unplug the grey connector tube from the water tank. Use a
towel underneath the water tank and connection hose connection,
as water may escape.
Fold the sleep mat so that the connector tube is on the inside
and protected by the sleep mat fabric. Place it into the washer
bag provided.
To dry, hang the sleep mat with the connector hose hanging down
to allow any excess water and/or washing detergent to ow out.
Notice:
Do not put the sleep mat and connector hose in the dryer.
About the Sleep System
The Sleep System is based on a fundamental human temperature cycle called
the Circadian Rhythm. We’ve created a way to mimic the body’s Circadian
Rhythm temperature cycle with the Sleep System, which keeps your body at the
optimal temperature at every moment of the night, just like nature intended.
The Sleep System, just like the Circadian Rhythm, uses a specic temperature
pattern. When you turn on your Sleep System, the sleep mat will start out at
the warmest temperature (your starting temperature), then slowly drop down
a few degrees to reach its lowest temperature in the middle of the night, and
nally it will raise the temperature back up to the starting temperature.

This graph shows the difference between an ideal sleep temperature, and a person’s temperature
that is not following the Circadian Rhythm (staying at the same temperature). This will often cause a
person to wake up hot in the middle of the night.
