HAWS warrants that this specific product is guaranteed against defective material or poor
workmanship for a period of one year from date of shipment. HAWS liability under this
warranty shall be discharged by furnishing without charge F.O.B. HAWS Factory any goods,
or part thereof, which shall appear to the Company upon inspection to be of defective
material or not of first class workmanship, provided that claim is made in writing to Haws
within a reasonable period after receipt of the product. Where claims for defects are made,
the defective part or parts shall be delivered to the Company, prepaid, for inspection. HAWS
will not be liable for the cost of repairs, alterations or replacements, or for any expense
connected therewith made by the owner or his agents, except upon written authority from
HAWS, Sparks, Nevada. HAWS will not be liable for any damages caused by defective
materials or poor workmanship, except for replacements, as provided above. Buyer agrees
that Haws has made no other warranties either expressed or implied in addition to those
above stated, except that of title with respect to any of the products or equipment sold
hereunder and that HAWS shall not be liable for general, special, or consequential damages
claimed to arise under the contract of sale.
The emergency equipment manufactured by HAWS is warranted to function if installation
and maintenance instructions provided are adhered to. The units also must be used for the
purpose for which they were intended. This product is intended to supplement first-aid
treatment. Due to widely varying conditions, Haws cannot guarantee that the use of this
emergency equipment will prevent serious injury or the aggravation of existing or prior
injuries

RECOMMENDED TOOLS: Assorted tools as needed for installing power cord (7501BL240
only).
LOCATION OF UNIT: The Model 7501BL/7501BL240 heated blanket should be installed over
a 7501 tank in close proximity to potential accident areas. It should be clearly identified, free
from obstruction, and easily accessible. This assembly should be wall mounted in accordance
with the 7501 installation instructions. NOTE: Personal wash unit Models 7501BL/
7501BL240 shall not be exposed to ambient temperatures exceeding 38⁰C (100⁰F).
ELECTRICAL SUPPLY: The Model 7501BL requires a 120 VAC, three-prong outlet. The
7501BL includes a heavy-duty 8 foot power cord with GFCI plug. The Model 7501BL240
requires a 240VAC outlet and is not supplied with a power cord. The Model 7501BL240 MUST
BE PROTECTED BY a Class A G ROUND F AULT CIRCUIT INTERRUPTER (GFCI). No power
cord is supplied with the 7501BL240 and must be installed by the user.
1. Heat trace does not turn on. 1. a. Not plugged in or no power to plug. Check
GFCI plug (7501BL only) and circuit
b. If ambient temperature is high and doesn’t
allow the blanket temperature to drop below
68°F (20°C) the heater may not switch on.
Heater settings are: Non-adjustable
thermostat preset to switch on at 62°± 5°F
(17°± 3°C) and switch off 77°± 5°F (25°±
3°C). Test the thermostat and heater
function by applying ice in a circular motion
to thermostat location. Apply ice to this
location for approximately 3-5 minutes. The
heat trace cable should become warm to the
touch when operating properly. Thermostat
is located on junction box.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE
STEP 1: Install power cord per local electrical code (7501BL240 only). Requires drilling hole
in junction box and installing appropriate cord seal. Heat trace routing
configuration may vary.
STEP 2: Unpack 7501BL/7501BL240 blanket. Lay flat with inner surface (silver) up.
STEP 3: Set 7501 tank bottom down on the blanket in the orientation shown.
STEP 4: Wrap the 7501BL/7501BL240 up and over the 7501 tank and attach bottom Velcro
closures.

STEP 5: Fold side flaps to over sides of tank, using the Velcro to attach the edges together.
STEP 6: Pull open/down eyewash flap and yellow eyewash arm. Attach webbing loop around
eyewash arm below eyewash heads.
STEP 7: Mount assembled eyewash and blanket in accordance with 7501/7501T/7501T240
installation instructions.
NOTICE: ALL POWER CONNECTIONS MUST BE MADE ACCORDING TO NEC CODE
USING TYPE 3R COMPLIANT EQUIPMENT. MODEL 7501T240 IS TYPE 4
COMPLIANT IF TYPE 4 COMPLAINT EQUIPMENT IS USED.
OPERATION AND TEST INSTRUCTIONS
Test weekly. Instruct all employees in the use of this emergency eyewash. Personnel should be
assigned to check liquid level daily.
STEP 1: Lead patient to nearest eyewash station. Seconds can make the difference in
preventing serious eye injury.
STEP 2: Pull yellow eyewash arm firmly. Eyewash arm will drop to activate eyewash.
STEP 3: Lower head until eyes enter eyewash stream. Use thumbs and forefingers to hold
eyelids open. Flush for 15 minutes.
STEP 4: Seek qualified medical attention immediately
